What was the scope of their involvement?

We started by meeting with MiniFridge Media and putting down the requirements. Then, we worked on the script together and did the casting with their guidance. We set up an ambitious task: shooting multiple videos at the same location on the same day. From ideation to execution, MiniFridge Media led the process and helped us through the production to what I think is a cool end result.

They provided their own equipment, handled all the video editing, and mixed the audio.

We’ve released the videos internally, and the reviews and engagement have been great. Everyone has complimented the videos.

Client was thrilled with the entire process from pre to post-production. The final spots have been very well received, too. They haven't been released just yet, but when they are, we're confident they'll be received well and will continue to grow the brand.

Minifridge did an amazing job with project managment as they were always on top of the agreed-upon schedule. They were always on time with deliverables and we never had to follow up with them on a question or email. 

Minifridge was always very quick to get back to us as well, which was very much appreciated, especially in the days leading up to the shoot.

Minifridge doesn't just take a concept and execute as is. They look for every opportunity to enhance the project so that is the most successful project possible. For example, in the pre-pro process, they will test-shoot the spots on iPhones to give us an idea of pacing and to confirm we can get everything included in the spots that we need to.

Minifridge Media produced a series of live-action commercials for us. We initially had scripts for the commercials, and the team planned the production and shoot. They scouted locations, rented the site, found talent, and provided equipment, a film crew, and a graphic designer, who superimposed our logo over the videos.

Minifridge Media also handled video editing and audio mixing. The whole project took about two months.

What is the team composition?

We mainly worked with Andrew, Minifridge Media's founder and president. The team contracted the film crew, so I didn't interact much with them.

How did you come to work with Minifridge Media?

I found Minifridge Media through a Google search. I was attracted to them because they had a good website and examples of their past work. Given that we had humorous scripts in mind and the team had done several funny videos, I felt they fit our project well. So, I reached out to them.

Andrew got back to me quickly, and we had a great discussion. He was very professional, accommodating, and interested in our project, mostly because we had created our scripts. Overall, we felt that Minifridge Media was a good fit for us, so we decided to move forward with them.

Minifridge Media successfully delivered the commercials, which will be posted on our company website and other social media platforms. The project went very well, and we were included in all its processes. The team was extremely easy to work with.

This required a broad range of ages, races, and cultural contexts. The ability to convey all of this, purely with tone and voice is both a testament to the talented voice actors, but also MiniFridgeMedia's direction. The result was authentic, sincere, and powerful.

Communicating emotionally potent testimonial content can be risky. It needs to truthfully honour the original source. MiniFridgeMedia delivered voices that captivated the audience. The proxies were nuianced and very real while preserving anonymity. This may not be an easily quantified metric. But witnessing the impact on audiences, I can attest to the persuasive and educational power of this work.

Mini Fridge helped Blue Door develop fantastic video assets for a campaign for Novotel Hotels in Canada to help drive conference and meeting space leads. The goal was to create content that stood out from typical hotel lead generation videos by developing captivating, scroll-stopping content that leveraged humour surrounding organizational pain points. The deliverables included three unique video concepts created with platform-specific best practices. The result was terrific work that our client is thrilled with.

I'm Senior Producer at a full-service ad agency in the U.S. Under one roof we have direct mail and digital sales, content developers, media buyers, a signage print company, digital content marketing, data base developers, one of the Midwest's largest studios, full pre-and post production, and more. I drive video projects through the creative, writing and producing stages, as well as the vetting and hiring of on location crews.

I needed a crew to do a multi-camera recording, and photographs, of a keynote presentation at a world leading company, along with documenting the activities around it, from registration, to executive panels, to interviews to cocktail hour. We also asked Minifridge to edit, on site, a day-of video featuring interviews that played at the end of the day to wrap the meeting.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed professional footage to thoroughly document the event that we could later edit into a variety of videos, from the Keynote to highlights of the day.

I researched production companies online and asked for bids based on my objectives. I contacted Minifridge based on the content of their website and the quality of their video work samples. I hired Minifridge because Andrew was knowledgeable about the industry, didn't balk at my requests, offered ideas and solutions to achieving our goals, and was willing to work within our budget.

I needed content to edit into several videos. Minifridge worked with me to schedule what we needed to do to work around the event schedule. We covered the event with two cameras, from b-roll to recording sessions and keynotes, to shooting interviews. In addition Andrew took the interviews while on site and turned around an edited video featuring interviews of participants that played at the end of the day; with graphics, no less.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Leading up to the shoot we had several pre-production meetings over the phone, and lots of email correspondence. Andrew was very active in helping plan the day to be sure we could capture everything we needed. He hired a crew, arranged the gear and showed up promptly the day of. During the shoot I never heard a complaint; they were always helpful and because of our pre-planning they were self-motivated to get what I needed on video. Our client was also very happy with their hustle and impressed with their professionalism.

The event and the subsequent videos helped cement the relationship between our client and his client. Everyone was thrilled with the final products and that client relationship, and ours, is still going strong.

Andrew and his crew are dedicated to providing a professional end product. My end product was the b-roll, which was well shot and composed, the interviews, which looked great and had high quality audio, plus event photography. They were careful to make themselves as invisible as possible to the meeting participants. I saw and appreciated the effort they went to to make sure I got exactly what I needed. And, they're nice, I really enjoyed getting to know them and work with them.
