We have instruments for advanced traders, however there is a gap in our offering for beginners to trading / investment. We wanted to create a simple and intuitive instrument for beginners to make their first steps in trading and investing

We have chosen this vendor because we liked their proposed approach to resolving our challenge and their portfolio was really appealing to us.

We started with research and analysis based on which we figured out the final scope of works. After that the UX solution was created which covered all the main user journeys and flows. After it's review and approval, a design solution was created (the objective was to have consistent visual design between web app we were building and mobile app which already by that time).

We then made a user testing of particular flow based on which some changes were introduced. At the final iteration we received the solution covering desktop and mobile layout for the web app we were building

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had senior designer doing all the design work and we had a founder assisting us with creating a roadmap and overall arranging of work to be done.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The UX and visual design were well thought-over and it covered all use-cases we required. Artefacts we received were ready for dev and we could start the implementation of the app in accordance with our roadmap and schedule.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We liked that everything was delivered as promised, we had great predictability when and what we will receive. The communication was also great, guys adequately reacted to all our comments and suggestions. We had one episode of delay which was due to COVID and it was perfectly clear communicated to us (including new delivery time) and because of it did not cause any issues on our side.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They really worked efficiently and delivered in accordance with their promises. Communication is great, they manage our expectations and we had a clear vision where are we now with the project and what is ahead.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only minor complain we got was at dev stage and it related to the fact that not all states of elements were designed (enabled/disabled, animation for transition from one state to another etc). So the improvement point here is to cover this during the design stage so that we do not need to get back to it during dev.

We hired them for mobile app development and design services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a mobile app that we wanted to redesign and needed to add a couple of new features. MIIIND has helped us with that, and they are currently helping us develop the concept, designs, and user flows for a new product. Their team uses Figma to create designs, and our mobile app is available for both iOS and Android users. They’re also helping us maintain our old product.

What is the team composition?

We work with three people from their team: a product manager, an iOS designer, and an Android designer.

How did you come to work with MIIND?

I knew about their company because we had lived in the same location previously, and I heard about them from many of my friends.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around €48,000 (approximately $47,000).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement started in August 2021, and it’s still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve already released one part of the design and have gotten pretty good results: users are not stopping in the middle of the onboarding process, and the bounce rate is not that high. I assume that we have more engaged users because they can now find whatever they want on the app. Also, the design itself is nice.

How did MIIND perform from a project management standpoint?

Their designers work very fast, so they’re always able to meet our deadlines and stay within budget. We use Slack as our main communication tool.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their product manager and designers follow a product-centric approach. Whenever we give them a requirement or an idea, they don’t just implement it but also do research and come back with their own recommendations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We should go back to the kind of tracking that we were doing in the past.

Any advice for potential customers?

They like to be involved in the initial stages. Also, when you just ask them to change something small, they might not be that effective because they love bigger challenges where they can kind of take the whole thing and redo it.

I’m the founder and CEO of Quality Testing Lab. We provide software testing and development services. We’re based in Yerevan, Armenia, and the company is almost six years old.

What challenge were you trying to address with MIIIND?

We had a one-page website that we built off of a template from the internet. We wanted to make a new website with a unique design, and we wanted to be able to control and change the content ourselves through an admin panel.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We began the project with me telling Arman (Founder) what I wanted. I did not provide any type of documentation; I simply explained my vision and our needs. They did some research and looked into the websites of our competitors as well to better form their concept. 

Based on those requirements and research, Arman and his team developed a predominantly blue website, as this was my desired main color. They also created separate sections for our solutions and services, portfolio, customer feedback, and contact information. MIIIND designed the website to be responsive as well.

I’m not sure how big the team was, but I was mainly talking to Arman.

How did you come to work with MIIIND?

MIIIND was referred by a friend of mine who’d worked with them and was delighted with the quality of their services. My friend’s testimonial was enough for me to decide to work with MIIIND.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in 2020, but I can’t remember exactly when. They finished everything in four months.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

MIIIND’s work was more than perfect; it was awesome. I asked clients and friends to check out the website and tell us what they thought of its functionality and design, and all of them were very happy with it. The solutions and projects page also helped our clients better understand how our company worked. 

According to Google Analytics, we’re now getting 20 times more site visits. Prior to the redesign, we only got 2–3 visitors per day, and now we’re getting more than 15 daily visits.

How did MIIIND perform from a project management standpoint?

They handed over the website two weeks ahead of schedule. They were easygoing with everything, responded quickly to our messages, and readily implemented what we wanted. They were also very happy to talk to us about any idea that we brought up. I had some things in mind that I couldn’t figure out, and I appreciated being able to discuss them with Arman.

The quality of MIIIND’s work really stood out to me. They were really dedicated to me as a client, and it felt as though mine was the only project they were working on for those four months or that this project was their own. I also appreciated the fact that they delivered so many ideas and options for us to choose from. Their communication, understanding of our needs, detail-orientedness, and customer service were all on point.

My advice is to simply tell them about the idea or issue, and trust them to build the best solution.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We went through the portfolio of the company, local business reviews and recommendations, as well as performed a background check on the individual employees who're supposed to deliver the end-results. We're quite satisfied to learn that they've accumulated the top industry players from top IT companies of Armenia.

First they've performed quite a thorough research on the industry and spent good chunk of time understanding it. Then they've talked to our existing clients & potential clients, collected feedback on their pain-points and started to design a system that helps to solve these problems for our clients. Only then we've proceeded with the mock-ups, design and etc.

Their founder and chief of designer were our key contact persons, although we know that they have quite a staff.

Working with MIIIND provided us 2 things:

• 1) Better understanding of our clients needs and figuring out the most optimal business flows for them.
• 2) Full design system, which enabled our team to autonomously scale, without their further assistance

They have a reliable team, that always maintains their deadlines, as well as always in a touch, such that organizing quick calls / brainstorming sessions is quite easy and pleasant.

I'm the CEO of Deem Communications, a PR and marketing communication agency. I have over 15 years of experience in the field.

They created a website and digital game apps.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided MIIIND with a map of the sections we were going to have on our website. After that, we collaborated with them to create the design of our platform in order to make it user-friendly to our customers. Their team also did huge work on the backend part of our project. 

For the game development, they helped us create our IQ 2020 game, which would test the knowledge of our users about Armenia and its architecture, literature, paintings, and more. We provided them with the content and the steps of the game. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with four people from their team, including Arman (Founder & Product Manager), a creative director, an IT director, and a designer. Our internal designers worked with their designers to create a product that was aligned with our brand.

How did you come to work with MIIIND?

We researched the local market and went through MIIIND’s portfolio. After multiple meetings with them, they provided us with a shorter timeline and good conditions. In the end, we decided to go with them.

We spent about $7,000.

We collaborated with MIIIND from July–September 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

MIIIND produced high-quality work; it was cool, refreshing, and new. The website was successful once we launched it and we gained a lot from it. They did a good job in a short time and they made all the points that we had worked on together.

The app was a test game for us, and they did a great job with that too. We really liked their team, and we’d like to hire them for more projects. We were very glad that we made the decision to work with them. We still have three months to see if there are bugs that need to be resolved, but for now, there are mostly no major bugs in the project.

How did MIIIND perform from a project management standpoint?

They had good communication skills; the team was very pleasant and they responded to all of our requests. Everything was in written form, and they quickly responded to us. We used Asana to communicate. Arman was a good project manager and his team was also great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their approach to every project was impressive. We appreciated that they prioritized their customers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would have loved to have face-to-face meetings with them, but COVID-19 made it impossible. Nevertheless, we did the project online and everything was perfect.

Any advice for potential customers?

It will be a good decision to go with MIIIND because they provide quality work and a realistic timeline. On top of that, they offer a reasonable cost.

Deem Communications is a strat-comm creative agency with a mission to drive ideas to the top in Armenia and Europe. DEEM offers its marcom services mostly to the Tech sector with a focus on medtech, pharma and fintech. With a team of 19 professionals, the agency communicates in 8 languages and caters to the top commercial and non profit institutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire MIIIND, and what were your goals?

DEEM was tasks to build a website that communicates the EU funded projects in Armenia. Our team designed a concept that would make the information interactive with multi-media tools. We hired MIIIND to develop the site map and back end.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

There was a tender called to several companies. MIIIND presented the most creative and sound project with a reasonable budget and timeline. The selection was done through several pools, including an interview of the shortlisted candidates.

Upon selection and signing of the contract, the teams had an inception meeting to draw out the deliverables and task distribution. It was vital to have the project be completed in time for the launch event that took place several months after the signing of the contract.

MIIIND team worked with existing concepts but also brought in their solutions that made the process smoother and deliverables more flexible and appropriate to the needs presented by the client. Once the task was planned out, a regular update meeting call was set up between the Team Lead and the MIIIND project team. Updates and progress was communicated to the team and the client to manage expectations.

Prior to completing the project, a testing phase was also considered which allowed the client to test the site and make all and any kind of modification. Once this was complete, the project was launched in a timely manner. Further updates were done internally with the support of MIIIND team as consultancy and maintenance. The site has been functioning ever since.

There were 3 direct connections with several other developers working with the team. The Project Manager, the engineer and the developer. On regular occasions we would either have one on ones, depending on the scope of the discussion; however, sporadic team meetings were also conducted, grated it was online in most cases due to the pandemic restrictions, but that did not hurt the process in any way.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

This was a new site that the EU Delegation now uses as the go-to website to communicate with the media, the international donors and other partners. There is a regular increase in visits. It can be estimated to be up to 4% increase on average every month.

Regardless of the pandemic and its restrictions, the tools used were online platforms like Zoom and Google Meets. The PM tools were used internally as we each had our own preferred platforms. The communications were done in writing via email in copying all relevant parties. Their style was quite friendly, professional, and accessible.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were quite supportive and friendly which helped the communication flow to remain professional yet pleasant and productive. This team is flexible and helpful.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only suggestion is to consider a post-delivery How-to module in writing that can be handed in to the client to facilitate the updates and progress.

We organized one of the biggest fashion events in Armenia, called Oriflame Fashion Weekend.

For that project we needed a site for several purposes:

We ran a tender in order to choose the best company to match our requirements and chose MIIIND, as the best value for money.

We went through different stages-meetings before delivering the final product. First of all, we met for a brief meeting so that to understand what is the main objective of the site. We have also filled out a special brief form for better communication between us. After several discussions, MIIIND presented us the first mock up and wireframes of the future site. After a few changes, we finalized the concept and the team started working on the execution of the project.

I am a project manager for the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, which is responsible for developing and implementing the strategies and policies for all Armenia-Diaspora relations, supporting and encouraging repatriation, ensuring an active integration process, mapping the Diaspora's potential, and implementing programs to integrate the Diaspora into every aspect of Armenian life.

Our Office inherited the outdated, practically dysfunctional website of the former Ministry of Diaspora Affairs. The information on the old website was disorganized, hard to find, and there was no engagement whatsoever.

Our goals were to have a website that can become a resource for Diaspora Armenians throughout the world, be accessible in at least 3 languages, highlight the work our Office is conducting inside the Government and in the Diaspora, and be able to drive engagement, and provide direct contact to our team.

We hired Miiind to redesign our website, to develop a better content management system, backend and frontend and ensure adherence with the Government security standards.

We selected Miiind because they had a proven history of developing other Government entity websites. Their proposal for our website met our needs and standards, and their team was very understanding and flexible.

After Miiind was selected, we had an initial kickoff meeting where we described our needs, our issues with the existing website and what we were looking for.

The Miiind team got to work and began to design the website, they gave us a detailed proposal, on which we made several changes, and when the final proposal was approved they began to develop.

Midway through the project, we had a leadership change, and the new leadership in our Office had a different approach, the team was very flexible and made the required changes to the design and development process.

Our main point of contact was a project manager assigned to our project, Nana, and occasionally the founder of Miiind, Arman. They were always very flexible and agile when it came to our project and our needs.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our website is regularly referred to as the most user-friendly and best designed Government website in the Republic of Armenia. The chat function on the website is constantly active, everyday we receive hundreds of direct messages, and a few months ago we celebrated 5 million visitors.

Additionally, the backend of the website is very easy to use and update with fresh information. Our news, events, and program pages are regularly updated, and our Office staff is very happy with it.

The team at Miiind had an agile project management style. We were in contact on a weekly basis, we worked mostly with email, phone calls and in person meetings. They were very adaptive to our needs, and were always available to discuss, brainstorm and come up with the best solutions for our Office.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their flexibility and agility. Working on a project that experiences a major leadership change is not easy, especially when the perspective of the new leadership is not in line with the old leadership. The Miiind team, was very flexible to the changes in our office and always accommodating.

They were willing to train our team to use the backend, to this day are very responsive and easily reached any time there are any issues or questions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They've done a really beautiful job, and they remain committed to making sure our website suits all of our needs. After launching the website we had a few minor issues, they quickly responded and fixed the issues.

Most importantly they have remained available anytime we have questions or want certain functionalities added to the website.

Barcamp Yerevan is an Annual IT non formal conference, which gathers around 3000 people to talk about IT, Media and SMM. The first event has been held in 2009 and continues to be one of the major annual IT events in Armenia. We hired MIIIND to develop a new website for Barcamp Yerevan, which already needed a proper structure, to match the level of the event. Previous version of website was built on outdated CMS and didn't meet our needs.

I personally know Arman, head of MIIIND and have seen his work and dedication to his projects. After suggesting Arman to the rest of the team and reviewing his previous projects, we singlehandedly decided to hire MIIIND as our new website development vendor.

So the project was developed in steps. First we gathered and discussed all the features that website needs to have, then we prioritized with MIIIND team deliverables and followed the development process. Website first needed to have a landing page for announcing the event, then registration section to register for the event, Agenda section, About and the glossary of all time event speakers with their personal profiles. Also MIIIND developed branding for 2021 event and created design for merchandise. Laravel, PHP and React were used for the development.

On web piece vendor allocated 5 people: 1 Backend Developer, 1 Front End Developer, 1 PM, 1 QA and a UI/UX designer. For branding piece 2 people worked: 1 Brand Strategist and 1 Designer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website performed as intended, it easily handled traffic of around 2000 people at once.

They have been developing using agile methodologies. I don't know what were their internal tools, but communication was performed through shared Slack channel, emails and Telegram for file sharing. Deliverables were set in 2-4 weeks, based on the piece developed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The responsibility level of the team is very high and MIIIND gathered real pros in their work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

On first launch, the website didn't handle the traffic, but after slight configuration update, it worked as needed and didn't have any issues.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking to vendors that had integrated web design and development who understood the level of professional rendering that was required to set us apart with our web presence target audiences - major investors and valuable early-stage companies.

As we had a bad experience with a prior vendor, we interviewed several companies to select MIIIND. Our criteria were around creative talent, development skills, prior experience in similar domain and cost. Although not the lowest cost of vendors we evaluated, we felt that the team met all the quality criteria we were looking for.

The approach that MIIIND took was very iterative and included design of pages, incorporating story line, developing logos and graphics to engage web visitors and performed the development on WordPress. In addition, they customized a maintenance dashboard so that we become capable of maintaining the website inhouse.
