I’m the co-founder of a company that builds web platforms.

We had an idea for a web application and needed help developing it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Micronstars has been developing our web application from scratch. Initially, we gave them our product documentation and requirements. The application is for working with PDFs, and the first phase of the project was about cropping, merging, and sorting PDF documents.

Now, we’re working on images and other functionalities with Micronstars. Their main technology is Django, a Python framework. The project is live, but we’re still adding features. The team has also suggested several ideas.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with 3–4 people.

A friend referred them.

We’ve spent around $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around June 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Micronstars has successfully delivered the web application. We're pleased to see that our website receives 10,000–12,000 daily visits.

How did Micronstars perform from a project management standpoint?

Micronstars has been good with deadlines. We use Asana and Slack for project management and communication. We mostly communicate via email, but we also have phone calls and meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team has delivered on time and suggested great new ideas for our project. The project manager is always there to bounce off ideas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, we have poor communication with Micronstars.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Keep it simple and give them your requirements properly. They'll 100% work with you.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

New screens generated quickly as per wireframes and integrated into the software, deliverable reports feature created as per mockups, new features added, existing features enhanced, report templates optimized

Speedy development helped to expedite progress and meet sprint deadlines. Continous support during testing and quick bug fixing helped to achieve target in timely manner.

Team showed readiness to adapt to new requirements/customization requests. Tasks are performed with accuracy and as per design specs. Team always finished development in time and provided full support during testing phase for quick bug resolutions or minor tweaks.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Micronstars could have done differently?

Team has been performing impressively. There are few occasions where the domino effects of changes were not anticipated in advance but proactive discussions and a focussed approach to identify for potential risks from thereon helped to bridge that gap.
