Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the marketing & brand manager for Dog Tag. Twice a year, we have a graduation ceremony for our fellowship program - a business/entrepreneurial training program for veterans with service-connected disabilities, caregivers, and military spouses.

For what projects/services did your company hire Film 87, and what were your goals?

For our graduation ceremony, we need videos to share the experience of the fellows in the program, as well as from staff congratulating fellows. We do not have the bandwidth or skills to create these videos, and Film 87 has been an excellent partner in helping us deliver polished, professional videos for these events. This is so important as we have many stakeholders at these events, and they are often influenced by the quality of these videos.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was impressed by their quality of work and as a small business ourselves, we prioritize working with small businesses. I was also impressed by their website and social media, and knew they would be a great partner to work with.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

The first step is gathering all the videos on my end, then sending them to Film 87 to weave together into a finished product. Film 87 assisted with editing for clarity/volume, adding intro/outro graphics and lower thirds, and adding background music. There are often 1-2 rounds of edits before we finalize the video.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Seann initially for the consult, and he does a great job of asking the right questions and setting expectations. He also does the graphics, which always look super professional. I work with Josh to do the editing of the videos together, and myself and other members of our team are always impressed by the quality of work.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Always great feedback from attendees to our graduation ceremonies. One of our graduation ceremonies even led to a spontaneous large donation.

The tool they use for feedback is frame.io, which is super easy to make comments on and download the video from. They are always very responsive to our edits.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I love the quality of video that they consistently produce for us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Setting up timelines from the get-go would probably make everything go a little smoother. I know it's hard to create perfect timelines/deadlines, but it's easier to at least have an idea of milestones.

Delivery times were ahead of schedule. The final price stated within the entire budget. Organic traffic to website has increased.
