I’m the co-owner and COO of AV-Tech Media Solutions, an AV integrator. We provide media systems for corporate enterprise clients all over the world, primarily in the US. We’ve been in business since 2003.

We were looking to grow our brand reputation and provide a more proactive focus on social media engagement to get better interaction with customers and prospective clients.

Media Frenzy Global handles all our marketing initiatives. When we started working together, we had them refresh our website and social media. They also provide blog services. The team has conducted market research and continues to investigate active market trends. Media Frenzy Global focuses on client opportunities and brings those to the forefront.

Media Frenzy Global manages our social media marketing (SMM) on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We’ve recently focused more on LinkedIn because we’ve had more traction there. The team is responsible for content creation for our social media engagement and high-value content on a quarterly basis. They provide marketing materials and high-quality materials, including videos and booklets.

What is the team composition?

We’ve primarily engaged with 3–4 teammates. Sarah works on an account level. Elizabeth is our program manager, and we also have a PR person.

How did you come to work with Media Frenzy Global?

We searched for several organizations and interviewed multiple options. Sarah presented a very aligned platform of how they wanted to engage as a partner. Media Frenzy Global wanted to be locally based but also have a national reach. They were also high on technology companies, which aligned with us. Marketing is an art and a science. We value marketing for brand recognition and for establishing our value in an optical way to give people confidence that we’re capable of doing the work we need to do. We don’t have those services internally, so we place tremendous value on what Media Frenzy Global has done for us. Overall, we're very satisfied.

How did Media Frenzy Global perform from a project management standpoint?

They always meet deadlines. We communicate via email and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Media Frenzy Global is nimble and has a very attentive staff — we value that. The team is flexible and willing to go the extra mile to serve us when we need them. Their staff is always accessible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve had a small amount of personnel turnover over the years. It's nothing hypernegative, but any time you change people, it can change their personality. We’ve experienced some transition with their team, but we’re at a good, stable point now. Additionally, they value their services, so their pricing is something we have to manage. Sometimes, we have to refine our services to stay within the budget.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It depends on what you need in marketing. Be honest about your hopes for the results. Are you looking to be more social media-driven? Are you looking for more PR? Communicate your objectives clearly and set manageable goals. Media Frenzy Global will do a good job, but if you don’t know what you’re doing, you may be drawn into something that won’t be as productive. They’re not trying to guide you in the wrong direction, but if you can’t give clear expectations, they can’t deliver clear results.

What challenge were you trying to address with FRENZY?

We were embarking on launching a new platform to bring together our cloud-based solutions effectively. There was a lot of innovation to it, but it was also a significant shift for us in terms of how we connected our products and what the platform would offer for our clients now and in the future.

We felt that how we named and positioned the platform was a big opportunity. It was something we wanted to ensure was very thoughtful and deliberate. Internally, we had designers and demand generation managers, but we wanted guidance. We didn’t want to make any knee-jerk reactions. We wanted the support of a consultant or an agency that had done this before to help guide us through the process.

We had a lot of subject matter experts and leaders in their respective functions here in the organization, but bringing all of that together and helping us navigate the conversation and how we approached the naming and branding of the new platform was too big of an opportunity not to do the right way.

What was the scope of their involvement?

FRENZY was responsible for our platform's naming, branding, and marketing. They were instrumental in helping to guide our executive team through the naming process. They spent a lot of time trying to understand the platform, its market differentiation, and what it would mean for our clients. FRENZY conducted the discovery with us and took us through several meetings over weeks and even months to align on the final name. We wanted this platform's name to mean what we aimed for people to feel and think when they heard the name. 

FRENZY aimed for us to be sure there weren't any other similar names out there, especially within our market, of which we needed to be aware. They really helped us navigate that to ensure that, ultimately, our decision wouldn't have any challenges moving forward with that particular name. It was an iterative process to narrow down a list of names and spelling variations.

We felt very confident in our core branding at our company, including the look and feel of our brand and the color palette, and they leaned on our existing branding framework. Still, we indicated we wanted this to be a step forward. They took components of our existing brand and provided branding elements and visuals around the name and logo.

We played around with different font styles and finally came down to the final logo. They provided additional supporting assets we used in the market launch, including a 30-second animated video to announce the platform, a PowerPoint presentation template that we could use, and a webpage layout that included the video and content about the platform.

What is the team composition?

We were engaged with many teammates throughout the process. The two executives who ran the company were heavily involved throughout the process. A project manager also ensured that we were staying on track. There were also 2–3 core strategic and design-focused individuals who were with us throughout the length of the project, from the initial discovery to the naming exercise and all the way through to bringing the branding design to life.

How did you come to work with FRENZY?

FRENZY was located in the same city as us. They had done a lot of work with other B2B software providers. After meeting with them and getting some exposure to some of their work, we were confident they were the right decision for us. We were happy to have a local team come to our office for in-person interactions instead of virtual meetings.

What is the status of this engagement?

We kicked off the project in January 2024, and it was wrapped up in May 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since this platform wasn't meant to be sold, lead generation or conversions weren't a result measurement for us. However, we did a press release around the launch of the platform. The announcement came at our annual user conference, with over 1,000 attendees. There was a significant amount of activity and buzz around it. Anecdotally, everyone thought it was great.

How did FRENZY perform from a project management standpoint?

FRENZY was fantastic and very organized. We were very clear on the next steps and expectations during the project. They helped us work through any roadblocks to keep pace with the project timeline. We had regular check-ins and meetings to align and generate outputs. We also received a weekly email summary of items completed, what was outstanding, and expectations in the coming weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we embarked on this project, there were a lot of personalities and opinions. FRENZY assisted us as a team to align the varying opinions and continue to move forward and progress. Since we had a tighter timeline to complete this project, we couldn't afford to spend months analyzing different potential options.

We only had about a three-month window to complete the project with all the branding elements in time for the launch. FRENZY managed the pressure of our timeline and successfully navigated through it, which spoke volumes about their experience and expertise.

It was terrific working with FRENZY, and they demonstrated how much they could do, not only naming, branding, and positioning but also marketing and amplifying the campaigns. They were very hands-on, and despite the challenging project, they did an outstanding job.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, it was a good experience.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go into working with FRENZY open-mindedly; that's how we approached this, and we're thrilled with the results. They've done this before. They have the experience and expertise. That can often be the biggest hindrance in any marketing, branding, or design project. If you have something concrete in mind, you might ultimately be limiting yourself.

We hired FRENZY to roll out a brand refresh. We were planning on putting significant money into demand generation and wanted a new look.

We gave their team our branding guidelines, new brand positioning, value proposition, and benefits. FRENZY was responsible for developing creative concepts; this included taglines and video scripts. They came up with a new brand campaign and developed design elements for video, print, and digital advertising that we could use moving forward. FRENZY also made website recommendations on our key pages and acted as the agency of record for our PR work.

I’m not with the company anymore, so I can’t give any hard metrics. However, when I was there, we were very pleased with FRENZY’s creativity and ability to stay on brand. They effectively communicated the value proposition that we were looking for. Overall, we were very happy with their work. 

How did FRENZY perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was wonderful, and FRENZY was never late. Their team was good about recapping meetings, and everyone stayed on task. We primarily communicated via email and  Zoom; we also met in person.

We’d like to shout out Sarah (CEO & Founder) and Dave (President). 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were most impressed with their ability to ensure they were delivering value to clients. They worked extremely hard to deliver results in whatever work they were providing to us. We were also impressed with their ability to bring in creative individuals. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We felt like their website recommendations were not completely up to date; this was a very minor piece of our engagement, though. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When you’re working with any agency, come prepared with your creative brief. We spent a lot of time explaining our historical branding and the new bundling of the product positioning to ensure FRENZY was well-prepped. You have to spend time on your end to make sure they have an understanding of your company.

I'm the senior marketing manager at Makersite, a German-based software service company that supports global manufacturers in improving their products and supply chains.

What challenge were you trying to address with FRENZY?

The two key challenges that I required FRENZY to support me on were enhancing Makersite's awareness and profile in North American markets and supporting us in driving credibility.

We work with global enterprise companies, so it's risky for them to work with startups like us. Thus, we wanted to use PR as a channel to help drive our credibility and demonstrate that we were capable of doing the things we said we did.

FRENZY helped us with our PR efforts. They specifically did media pitching across a variety of publications in the trade press and general media regarding our Series A funding announcement, helping us get coverage in the media.

The account team had 3–4  members. Cameron (PR Account Associate) was our main point of contact. We also worked with Katy (Senior PR Account Executive) and Sarah (CEO & Founder).
How did you come to work with FRENZY?

They came to us as a recommendation. Initially, we provided FRENZY with a short brief detailing our challenges, and they came back to us with some very good examples of how they'd supported other companies. We were very impressed with that. Moreover, we could tell they were very purpose-driven, which fit our company values. There was also very good chemistry between our teams, so I could see us having a very good working relationship.

We started working together around August 2022. Currently, we're pausing our relationship.

FRENZY successfully supported us in our Series A funding announcement, which was very important for us. As a result, we saw a noticeable increase in our media mentions and overall awareness in certain areas. Thanks to their media pitching, we've even continued to get interview requests for key subject matter experts and our CEO from relevant trade publications. That result has also supported us in raising awareness of who we are, what we do, and what our approach is.

How did FRENZY perform from a project management standpoint?

FRENZY delivered on time and on budget, as expected. Overall, their project management was good. They were great at communicating project timelines, deadlines, and requirements.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I would like to give Cameron a shout-out. Still, the entire team was great. For example, Sarah was always very proactive and involved. One of the advantages of working with FRENZY was that we had upper management involved in our account when needed, which was always helpful.

What did you find most impressive about them?

FRENZY's culture, attitude, mindset, and team members were impressive. They complemented our business very well, which was why we chose them in the first place. We could see that they were hungry and ambitious, just like us, so we ultimately developed and grew together.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything they could have improved on. They're an ambitious agency wanting to grow. As they do that, they'll have growing pains. Still, we were very happy with our day-to-day work.

Provide them with a clear brief and a good amount of time for them to execute their work.

MFG team is super organized and acted more as a partner than an agency. The team is strategic, adheres to timeline and understand the tech industry and the tech reporters and editors well. They explore new ideas that are relevant and smart. 

I have seen agencies that have a “fake it till you make it” approach - so it was important to partner with a truly professional, knowledgeable and high-work ethic team, and MFG fit all of those needs. The budget was limited, and MFG 100% put everything in their capacity to deliver the best within that budget. I don’t believe anyone else could do it!

Since working with Media Frenzy, our reach increased over 600%. We achieved coverage in several desired target publications, and were offered opportunities with Tier 1 publications, including the WSJ.

The Media Frenzy team are very responsive, proactive and most importantly passionate. Our success was their success. Their management style is collaborative, and communication is seamless. They were truly an extension of our marketing team. They worked with our other agencies around the globe to help streamline content and and drive consistency of our messaging. They had their own Teams channel for instant communication and we had a dedicated email address that went to the whole group.

Their passion for what they do and their hunger for results.

Maintaining the same writer for consistency and building up skilled knowledge was something we suggested and something Media Frenzy took on board and acted upon.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First off, they tried to understand our goals and our customers, and then jumped into social media and writing content. They also interviewed people every month, which allowed them to write some really wonderful pieces about our initiative. Beyond articles, they crafted press releases, PR packages, blog posts, and promotional videos. They also worked to secure coverage for us through external media sources.

Finally, they came to our grand opening event in June, which I consider going above and beyond. Their whole team was present to ensure we got in front of the media and followed up with people to ensure we got the coverage we expected.

The media coverage that we secured is the obvious metric of success. Beyond that, the amount of coverage we secured has helped us gain significant awareness of what we’re trying to do.

They’re very on top of project management; in fact, they’re firecrackers in this regard. Their team was also professional and efficient. We typically communicated over email, Zoom, Slack, and phone calls, when necessary. There weren't any instances of no-shows or delays.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It was pleasant to work with Sarah and her team. They were attentive, and you could tell they’d done it before. Their work was very organized, systematic, and efficient. We were happy throughout the engagement.

It was obvious that they worked well as a team, and, in large part, that’s due to Sarah’s leading direction. It’s obvious that she’s a veteran, which is why we chose Media Frenzy over other media companies.

Sarah was an all-star at what she did. Her experience brought a ton of value to their company, and obviously, she knew how to hire, as she had some wonderful people working with her. Being able to leverage their network and connections allowed us to do a really good job.

They were always staying on top of new technologies in the industry, like blockchain and Web3. We plan to utilize this experience in the future as we expand and grow what we’re doing internally.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We only faced one slight issue, and it was a situation where we would have liked to both have our cake and eat it. Media Frenzy always shows effort and proactivity in figuring out cutting-edge technology.

Give them as much information as you can to help them do the best work possible. You have to truly understand what your goals are and where your targets need to be placed. The better you can communicate that to Media Frenzy, the better their strategy will be.

We have a biweekly call set up where stakeholders from both sides discuss the opportunities and the potential areas we can be given a voice, especially for the product were launching. They gave us a weekly tracker, and we discuss which media outlets will provide us with fitting exposure. 

They've secured a lot of interviews and media spots for us, as well as secured us publication in a lot of articles. A lot of our team members have also been published.

Their project management is pretty good. We get weekly updates and communicate via email and biweekly Zoom calls. Media Frenzy updates us on what's happening and where potential opportunities are.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We hired them for the product we’re building: a very unique, blockchain-powered platform. We were very impressed with the level of understanding that their team members had because they needed a fundamental understanding of it to put our product in front of a potential publication.

We are always impressed by their enthusiasm in learning about our updates and doing their own research to understand our technology and its relevance. They’ve done an equal amount of research as our subject matter experts have done.

Provide them with a lot of documentation, as well as a deep dive discovery goal for them to understand your needs. It’s important that you give them a lot of information and keep them updated on a weekly or bi-weekly call as to the progress of your product. That’s what we’ve done, and Media Frenzy has done an excellent job of understanding it.
