**The Review** — Mar 9, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Maxiom Technology has significantly scaled the client’s capacity to provide robust development services. They’ve integrated well with internal teams and processes, providing realistic delivery timelines and consistently fulfilling them.
""This team either meets or exceeds the expectations that they’ve set. What they say is what they do.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of RITTA, a marketing and advertising agency that focuses on premium brands.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We were looking to streamline our partner services. We work with clients that tend to have multiple agencies, so we work with other vendors to accomplish more for these clients and provide more robust services. Right now, we’re working with Maxiom to develop three websites for an international car brand.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Maxiom is building out three websites that can help our client present their services to the public and sell more seats in their driving school programs. Their team handles the backend solution and UI/UX coding for those websites while we take care of the frontend design.

What is the team composition?

We interacted with the owner when we were structuring the contract. We’re now working with a lead developer and somebody from the testing side.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

I’ve worked with one of their developers on another project in the past. We reached out to him again but found that he was already involved with Maxiom, so we decided to engage the company as a whole.

How much have you invested with them?

Our budget for the project is under $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started talking in December 2021. It’s a relatively new project and is still ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The development is still ongoing, but Maxiom has definitely helped us ramp up. They’re incredibly fast, and they’ve managed to complete the site migration within 30 days.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

Maxiom has provided us with great efficiency in terms of quickly and strategically implementing changes to the website. They have great response times, which is what we’ve always wanted in a partner. We find them to be very friendly, and our relationship has grown over the course of our engagement. They now feel like a true extension of our own company because we’ve gotten to know them so well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate that they give me realistic timelines for the deliverables. I don’t feel like I’m getting a song-and-dance routine from them. Whereas other providers will fail to deliver on their promises, this team either meets or exceeds the expectations that they’ve set. What they say is what they do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind at the moment. The project is still a bit new.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you provide clear directions, you’ll get the most actionable timeline from their team. It’s important to understand your project goals while still giving Maxiom the opportunity to solve problems as they come up. They provide great solutions and will sometimes implement changes more quickly than you anticipated.

**The Review** — Feb 14, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: Maxiom Technology has redesigned the client’s website according to the client’s vision. Although the site hasn’t been developed yet, the UAT results show positive reception from users. The team has patiently iterated designs according to the client’s feedback, making for a productive partnership.
"“The design is stunning, and people are excited about the new features Maxiom Technology is building.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a manager for a local government entity. I manage our new technology and software innovations.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We needed them to revamp our website.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Maxiom Technology has been designing and building a new website from scratch. We started the project with a robust discovery phase, where the team queried us about our design and branding goals for the site. They provided us with a site map of our existing website, which we used to inform the new structure. The team also pushed us to determine what we wanted out of a content refresh, so I ran several internal discussions with our team and relayed feedback to Maxiom Technology.

We had our own brand standards, but we didn’t have any specific requests for the design. We just wanted Maxiom Technology to standardize each department page and develop template themes for other pages. The team worked iteratively to design templates for each page using Figma. They also designed different navigation options for mobile and desktop. We wanted to enable user acceptance testing (UAT), so they built clickable, high-fidelity prototypes. They also updated our website’s backend to facilitate communication with our servers.

Now, they’re rebuilding our content editor to help us update the site while adhering to our brand. Soon, they’ll start developing the website using DotNetNuke (DNN), an open-source platform.

What is the team composition?

Antonio (Founder & CEO) is the main conduit, but we also work with two designers.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

We initially engaged them to build our website using an open-source platform years ago, and they’d been responsible for maintaining it. Once it was time to refresh our website’s design, content, and navigation, we contacted various service providers for support.

Our former CIO introduced me to Maxiom Technology, and we discussed the project and what we hoped to achieve. They assured us the team could do it, so we amended our maintenance agreement to incorporate a design contract.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $50,000-$100,000 on the website design. We anticipate that the development will not surpass $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2022. The discovery phase lasted from September–November 2022, and they delivered the final prototype in December 2022. We haven’t kicked off development yet, so the project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our UAT has shown that users find the website more intuitive and visually appealing. The design is stunning, and people are excited about the new features Maxiom Technology is building.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

The project started off as the perfect storm because our CIO had recently left. We didn’t have a well-scoped project, to begin with, but Antonio was very communicative and responsive to our needs.

Maxiom Technology was very patient and understanding when our finance team flagged and delayed payments. When our finance team asked them for a clearer project roadmap, Antonio wrote a crystal-clear scope of work, which was very helpful. He also included the designers on every discovery call, and the quality of their Figma prototypes showed they were implementing our feedback on an ongoing basis.

The designers have worked around the clock on this project. They proactively ask for feedback and are willing to answer emails and attend meetings outside regular business hours. They’re very responsive to our needs and accomplish a lot of work during each sprint. We use Google Meet for our meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with their customer service; Antonio is very responsive, and the team is open to feedback. Moreover, during the discovery process, he was open to all the possibilities regarding custom features, which I appreciated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

As a government entity, we have a lot of rules and regulations. We faced some challenges at the beginning of the contract, and it would’ve been helpful for Maxiom Technology to understand how purchasing works.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you do your homework and provide feedback frequently. The more feedback you share, the closer they’ll be able to get to delivering what you want.

"“Their guidance has been fantastic.”"

I’m the director of stationary training for the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE).

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We hired them for IT staff augmentation and custom software development.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Maxiom Technology has designed and built a custom management system for all our training materials, including a library. They've developed the database-driven product from scratch. Initially, we knew what we wanted but didn't know how to put it together, and the team has assisted us with that. I've acted as a content manager on this project.

The platform's purpose is for a training director or instructor to take some of their materials and put them in the library wherever they want. The system enables them to access the information when they're training a class in an organized way. Maxiom Technology has also built a search engine and functionality to include tags for different items.

Antonio (Founder & CEO) is the teammate I work most closely with.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I measure Maxiom Technology’s success based on the product and its usability. We’re doing test runs on it, and people are really happy with the product. Regarding our requirements, they’ve succeeded and gone above and beyond what we expected. The search engine is phenomenal, and the tags make it easy to find material.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve never had an issue with project management; they’re always there for us. They use Microsoft Project for project management and phone calls, email, and video calls for communication. They’re easy to access and communicate with at any time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Maxiom Technology is easy to work with and always asks the right questions. The personalities of their teammates stand out. For example, I wish I could have Antonio on any project I did.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they need to improve. They’ve guided us instead of the other way around, and their guidance has been fantastic.

Moreover, they had shown extensive expertise on their unique skill set in WordPress and React.JS.
""Their "on-demand" resource finding in niche areas is a great strength of Maxiom's.""

**BACKGROUND**

We were trying to quickly scale up our team that was sequentially rewriting large portions of our flagship product - a months long effort with frequent releases to production in a fast paced, startup environment with high standards. We had 4-5 teams of engineers working on different, sometimes overlapping features, which required exceptional communication skills in addition to technical coding skills. **SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We vetted Maxiom based on the above criteria and signed a non-binding agreement that allowed us to "test-drive" their initial resources and compare them to a few other contracting firms we were trying out - including some big name firms in the industry. Maxiom provided us with key technical leadership, as well as resources that had worked with that leadership before - a cohesive team from Day 1. This was a major advantage.

They also stayed engaged long after the typical "vendor honeymoon period" of the first couple months. These were crucial factors in us continuing the engagement for the year as well as expanding it on several unrelated projects.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We initially began with work Maxiom to provide a self-sufficient team working in Ruby on Rails as full-stack engineers, including an engineering manager. We later expanded this to include PHP WordPress development, python development resources. The major deliverables for this project was frequent releases to production behind feature flags, in a modern, DevOps-enabled codebase that had 20-25 other engineers committing changes at the same time.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

In all, there were 5-6 Maxiom contractors working as Software Engineers with us across the main project, as well as the additional add-on resources.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Code quality with the Maxiom engineers was very good, as as their relationship with QA, our internal staff, and product management. Their pace of development and responsiveness (turnaround on time-sensitive bugs, etc) was also exceptional.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They were very flexible in terms of project management style, working within the systems we had already in place and providing suggestions for when those systems could be improved. By and large they used our own tooling (Gmail, Slack, Jira, Miro, Confluence etc), and this did not present any difficulties for them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The initial team they provided was excellent technically and felt like they had true "skin the game" - always a differentiator in contract work. As an additional point though: I went to Maxiom to hire a very unique skill set (Wordpress + React.JS experience), that had stymied a few of our other contractors, and they were able to find someone who was a perfect fit. Their "on-demand" resource finding in niche areas is a great strength of Maxiom's.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Quality of the work was most excellent, I have no suggestions for how they could improve!

Their transparency and flexibility enable a lasting partnership.
""Our business quickly moves, and Maxiom is patient with our continuous changes."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the general manager of an online retail business. We sell our own products and shipping products via Amazon, eBay, and Shopify.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We needed a technical solution to handle our customer and shipping data because we manage a lot of shipments. We needed a system that could host our customer information.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Maxiom created a search engine, enabling us to search customer, shipping, and vendor information. They built the search engine to help us search our database. We meet with them weekly to give their team our business requirements. Maxiom not only addresses bugs and issues but also supports any UX requirements.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with Maxiom’s CTO and one of their project managers. At one point, they assigned six developers to the project. Now, I’m frequently in touch with two senior developers.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

Our company’s CEO consulted with a partner who recommended Maxiom. We started working with them from there.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$100,000 on their services.

We started working with Maxiom in 2019 and don’t have an end date for our engagement.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**

We’re satisfied with the system Maxiom has created for us. Even if they overpromise, their team fulfills them. It’s not always certain that vendors will keep their promises. There have also been instances when we didn’t make requests but Maxiom worked on a product anyways, which has been great.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via phone calls, chat, and video calls. We also meet with their CTO twice a week, but their team also follows up with us about their progress and dates for when they’ll deliver parts of the project. They’re open and honest. If their team makes a mistake, they own up to it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our business quickly moves, and Maxiom is patient with our continuous changes. Their team handles our environment well. From the CTO to the developers, their team is patient when it comes to what we need from them. The whole Maxiom team wants to help us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

From a business perspective, we want deliverables as fast as possible. Although they’re great, Maxiom could move quicker.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re a good company. Maxiom is professional, and I would recommend working with them to any potential client.

**The Review** — Feb 16, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The developers provided were senior-level, delivered quality, and integrated easily into the in-house scrum development process. In addition to responsiveness from the development resources, an executive member of Maxiom Technology made themselves available to discuss progress for further support.
""They integrated into our team and got up to speed very quickly."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I was the CTO at a company that was creating a programmatic recruitment platform.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We needed to develop our recruitment platform that would provide us with an automated way of launching job applications on various job sites such as Monster and Indeed.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired them for temporary developer staffing. The platform was broken down into microservices, and each service was written in TypeScript with Node.js. Each of their two developers they provided us with was assigned to various microservice tasks, testing, bug fixes, and deployment.

They worked on the switchboard service, which takes incoming requests and uses data to redirect a user to a different landing page. In the meantime, the service tracks and reports on the data to be used later on by our team.

They also created a campaign configuration tool, which is a frontline service that allows users to adjust campaign settings, add a budget, remove listings, and more. Lastly, they worked on a RestAPI service that accepts requests and changes campaigns, databases, or user accounts accordingly.

What is the team composition?

They provided us with two senior developers to extend our team size.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

There are a lot of staffing companies out there, but their team was local, quick to respond to us, and quick to staff. The output was good from the beginning. There was no big learning curve, and they were very skilled in our required technologies. I’d choose them again.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $200,000–$1,000,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August 2018–April 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I was able to onboard the developers onto the team very quickly because there wasn’t a big learning curve. From there, because they were integrated into our internal team, we measured their outputs alongside our team. We weren’t measuring them individually. Instead, we focused on the success of the team as a whole. Our performance was good. We didn’t meet every sprint, but that’s to be expected and wasn’t the fault of their team.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They were fun to work with, and their manager was always open to having a conversation if we ever ran into any issues. I enjoyed the relationship. The developers fit right into our scrum methodology and were able to perform well under our Scrum Master. We communicated using Slack and Zoom; we coordinated the project using Jira and Atlassian.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They integrated into our team and got up to speed very quickly. Most importantly, they got the job done well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Check their portfolio of skills upfront. You’re able to add resources on a trial basis at the start of the project, so I’d recommend that to anyone. That way, you’ll be sure they know the technical skills needed and the ramp-up time is shorter.

Sr. Program Manager, Feature Languages
- Industry: Education

- Client size: 11-50 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Feb 10, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Internal stakeholders are extremely pleased with the quality of Maxiom’s work. The platform automated several previously manual tasks, giving time back to employees. Along the way, the team proved to be a reliable, respectful, and responsive partner.
""Maxiom was very easy to work with, which is a quality we value highly."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a senior program manager at Feature Languages. We’re a technology and language training support company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

One of our contracts supports 1,000 users annually for online foreign language learning. We wanted to develop a custom-built platform tailored to the customer’s requirements.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

There are the parts to the platform: the learning management system, the integration of the virtual classroom within the language management system, and a scheduling algorithm. Maxiom helped us with the development of the platform and integration of Cisco Webex as a virtual classroom.

Users use their credentials to log in and then are directed to the dashboard, which displaces a host of features including their calendar and upcoming classes. There’s also a join button that lets them into the virtual classroom. There’s also a resource library that’s level-specific and allows the user to browse through different materials relevant to their language. There’s a messaging system that connects students to instructors and a couple of other features.

There were a lot of different languages involved, including JavaScript and C++.

What is the team composition?

I interfaced with Emad (Co-Founder). I believe there were about three or four developers, a designer, and a tester involved as well.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

We found them through a referral by one of our employees, who’s very knowledgeable. We compared them with other vendors we spoke with and found Maxiom to be really competent.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested close to $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March–November 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The basis for us choosing Maxiom was budget and time constraints, and on both of those fronts, they’ve done a great job. Most of the tests were done earlier than we planned, and they did a fantastic job of keeping it within the allocated budget. Our customer was very happy.

The quality of their work is fantastic. The scheduling tool Maxiom built for us was a huge deal for us, because it eliminated a lot of manual work for us. Before, we had people tracking schedules through spreadsheets and calling students and instructors to coordinate schedules. It’s a lifesaver for us.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well. We didn’t have any issues at all. Maxiom did a great job of communicating and managing our expectations. They let us know what was going on and when we could expect certain elements to be done. They were also very responsive whenever we had any questions.

We mainly utilized Slack and Asana.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very customer-focused and very responsive. That made a difference to us. Our questions were answered and our expectations were properly aligned. Maxiom was very easy to work with, which is a quality we value highly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of. In retrospect, everything went smoothly, the quality was great, and the work was done on time. Nothing comes to mind as to what I would do differently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Once you get started and you open communication channels with them, expect Maxiom to be there ready to answer your questions.

**The Review** — Feb 8, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Maxiom’s solution cut search times on the platform from a minute to a couple of seconds, exceeding internal expectations. Throughout the project, the team was personable, collaborative, and professional, making them excellent partners. Their solutions-driven approach sets them apart.
""You can count on the Maxiom team to be a solid partner in finding and implementing the best solution for you."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Megree is a startup in the enterprise social networking space designed to show how businesses are connected to other businesses. I’m the co-founder and CTO.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We were building a web-based application, and we had some specific technical challenges around managing data and scaling the platform. We needed some technical resources to provide solutions.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Maxiom focused on two areas in particular: the user interface and data management.

We had a ton of data, especially around business relationships, but we weren’t sure of the best way to architect both the data and the software for extracting that data. Maxiom defined the use of a graph database to manage all of those data elements — the nodes and the relationships between all the nodes — and leverage the algorithm that would then return the path between two nodes, with a lot of other parameters associated with it.

Beyond that, our other focus was on how to display that path to the user in a meaningful and useful way.

What is the team composition?

There were one or two resources I communicated with on a regular basis, and I think we might have peaked at three people as we went through the engagement.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

I believe I was referred to them by a colleague. We looked at about three different providers, but they came with the right approach and showed they understood the problems we were facing.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost was about $250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–July 2015.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before Maxiom started on the project, it would sometimes take almost a minute for searches to load. After Maxiom, pages were loading within two or three seconds. That function in particular, which was the core of our value proposition, worked.

We were also constantly adding data as they were working, so the problem was getting harder as we went along. Their solution remained in place, and it was future-proofed.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well. They clearly articulated a plan for what they were going to implement. It was an iterative approach with incremental deliveries on how they were going to build out the graph database solution. We talked regularly and had status reports on a monthly basis.

We typically communicated through email, over the phone, or in person.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their technical acumen and ability to solve a business problem with the right technical solution is remarkable. They didn’t come in with a predetermined approach. Maxiom made sure they provided the right solution for our problem. That was hugely valuable to us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If anything, they could’ve brought on more resources a little sooner.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you define the problem you’re trying to solve. You can count on the Maxiom team to be a solid partner in finding and implementing the best solution for you.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a consulting firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We hired Maxiom Technology to help a client of ours by building an enterprise relationship management system.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The software includes telephony, CRM, and fulfillment management systems and features automated reporting and fulfillment. The platform also needs to be compatible with our phone system that had automated dialing. To implement this, Maxiom Technology created the scripts for us and are using .NET for the frontend and SQL for the backend. Now they’re providing break/fix support and adding features.

What is the team composition?

We work directly with Emad (Co-Founder & CEO).

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

I’ve known Emad for a long time and have worked with him even before he started Maxiom Technology. He is a great partner and it was logical for us to work with him again.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2018 and our partnership is ongoing.

They’ve been excellent to work with. They deal with changes well and are very effective.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

We have bi-weekly sprint meetings and follow an agile methodology. We typically use Jira to manage sprints, tasks, and tickets. We add things in there as we need.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism is great. However, I’ve been most impressed by their ability to pivot as needed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn’t anything they need to improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As with any project, I would tell new clients to be ready to go when they contact Maxiom Technology. They should be clear on what their goals are and have a rough timeline for the project.

**The Review** — Dec 22, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: With a similar program the client previously used, processing transactions could take anywhere from five to eight days. After implementing their solution, Maxiom Technology was able to cut this range down to two to four days. The team communicated their technical progress regularly.
""They knew exactly how to correct the problems we were facing and communicated effectively with our non-technical team."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Our organization is a small-to-medium-sized boutique law firm handling healthcare claims disputes.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We were having issues getting payment data from our client systems.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They were tasked with building a portal that could scrape clients’ financial payment information from any transactions that were connected to the accounts. The portal would also be able to compare the data against any recorded information we already had in our system before updating the system with the new, found transactions.

We had a similar program in our system from another development house that wasn’t working. When we brought them onto the project, we let them direct what kind of technologies should be used. They wrote the code in C# within a Microsoft framework. There was a great deal of image processing work needed.

What is the team composition?

There was a developer, project lead, CTO, and CEO.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

We found them through a Google search. We appreciated that they were local to our company.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $10,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April–August 2020. We haven’t cut ties with their team though.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It used to take several days to do a complete run of this program, so our issue was speed rather than accuracy. They were able to significantly decrease the program’s run time from 5–8 days down to 2–4 days.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They were pretty strong. While there were times we could have benefits from where they were from an hours perspective, they were great about progress updates from a technical standpoint. We communicated through video conferencing on a weekly basis and emailed intermittently.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They knew exactly how to correct the problems we were facing and communicated effectively with our non-technical team. We appreciated their technical expertise.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We would’ve appreciated more updates on where they were with billable hours. Because we’re not a technical team, it was difficult to anticipate how certain tasks may affect hours. They did a great job of making sure we were comfortable with how much they were billing after the fact, however.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open to their ideas. We may have slowed them down in the beginning due to some resistance on our end. They know what they’re talking about, so trust their expertise and make sure you’re on the same page.

"“They always met our needs. Often, their work included additional components that we didn’t even know we needed.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I was a senior technical resource and development manager for the American Water Works Association.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Maxiom Technology?

We needed assistance with a variety of custom software development initiatives, including business systems, CRM, and CMS integrations.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to complete a variety of projects, meeting our deadlines and staying within our budget.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

One of our software vendors referred us to Maxiom Technology.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

During my tenure with the company, Maxiom Technology helped us with a variety of projects for one of our clients, a large nonprofit. No task was too hard or too complex; they willingly took on every challenge we presented. They assisted with multiple integration projects and app development initiatives.

What was the team composition?

We worked with anywhere from 1–7 people from Maxiom Technology depending on the workload.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**

Once we provided them with requirements, we could rely on them to research, develop, and deliver a product that exceeded our needs and expectations.

In terms of communication, their team was always quick to address any questions or concerns from our end. They were very receptive to feedback, quickly making any requested corrections or changes. Overall, the team was skilled and flexible. They offered alternative ideas and strategies to improve on our original vision, and easily adjusted their workflow if we changed the scope mid-project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They always met our needs. Often, their work included additional components that we didn’t even know we needed. Additionally, I appreciate their responsiveness to our rotating requirements.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

**The Review** — Aug 29, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Their team works extremely quickly and follows specifications well. They adapt easily to changes in project scope, make suggestions for additional features that will improve the product, and deliver everything they promise.
"“They’ve done a great job of … ensuring that the platform is intuitive and user-friendly.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of a startup called Alma Mater. We’re a software platform that allows college and university organizations to communicate with their alumni and fundraise directly within the app.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

I’d been using another developer who was simply too inexperienced and couldn’t meet the project demands, so I ended that contract and hired Maxiom to take over all of the app development and coding.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They started by preparing the minimum viable product (MVP). I gave them a concept to work with and they’ve built the app from scratch. They used a Bootstrap form template as a base and are modifying it to include the features I need. The backend is built with Ruby on Rails and they’re using Ember.js for the frontend work.

One of the most important app requirements was a user-friendly alumni database. Organization administrators need to be able to add and modify records, so I wanted that to be straightforward. The app also allows admins to design and send mass newsletters. Another key feature involved some additional frontend work to let each organization create a distinct alumni landing page for users. The final main component is the integrated donation platform.

What is the team composition?

I initially worked with their founder, who serves as the project manager, and I was assigned a full-time developer once the project got underway.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

I found them via online search and reached out to them through email. We had a phone conversation about what I was looking for with the MVP, they gave me a price quote, and I decided to move forward with them.

How much have you invested with them?

The full project cost $45,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2018 and the project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They quoted me ten weeks for the project, but by the time five weeks had passed, they’d completed 80% of the work. They’re currently running QA testing and making minor adjustments to this pilot version of the app before we release it. They’ve also done a great job of meeting my specifications as far as ensuring that the platform is intuitive and user-friendly.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

There’s never much delay between when I reach out to them and when I receive a response. We touch base using email and then manage the project in Asana. Additionally, I appreciate how flexible they are if I want to add or change features. They’ve adapted to multiple changes during the project while still working very efficiently.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They looked over my requirements and immediately said they’d be capable of delivering. Not only were they true to their word, they completed the project quickly and added additional features that improved on my initial concept.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’d like to see a little more communication about how work progresses on the backend because it’s not always reflected on the frontend. It’s not that nothing is happening, but since I’m not as savvy about coding, it can be hard to judge what progress has been made.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As a startup, don’t accept the first developer who’s willing to take the job. It’s tempting, but you’re better off hiring someone who will do the work correctly the first time. In addition, it helps if you plan your app thoroughly before you start. I had wireframed mine and that made it much easier for them to assess how long the project would take and how feasible my ideas were.

**The Review** — Jul 9, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Maxiom’s success has cemented a long-standing collaboration. There has been positive feedback on the website’s ease of use and manageability. Their specialized knowledge of DotNetNuke (DNN) work and effective project management makes them a clear asset.
""They kept pace with our schedule and were patient when explaining project aspects to us."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CIO of the City of Allentown's municipal government.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

We needed support for our website through designing, building, deploying, and maintaining all the phases of support and development.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Over our time working together, they’ve worked on several projects related to the site. We first hired them to support our existing website. It was built on technologies that were in their wheelhouse, so we provided them with wireframes and they configured the application to make sure it was secure and up to date.

Since then, we’ve engaged them on several website redesigns. For the most recent redesign, they altered our pages to be mobile responsive. They’ve adjusted the color scheme and templates, and written custom modules that integrated with other web services.

They have knowledgeable developers and it wouldn’t be possible to list all the technologies they’ve used over the years working together, but the top three would be .NET, DNN, and IIS web hosting.

What is the team composition?

I work directly with Antonio (Founder and CEO, Maxiom Technology), who acted as project manager. He would build his team depending on what the project needed at the time, sometimes a designer, sometimes a coder, or a programmer.

How did you come to work with Maxiom Technology?

We found them through online research and they were the only company we reached out to that got back to us right away.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent $128,000 since beginning our work with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2012, and they are still supporting the website. The main development work ended in early 2013, and the project to alter the pages to be mobile responsive ended in 2015.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our website is managed by a team of content editors and they have provided positive feedback. They manage the site with minimal friction, and I’ve received a very low number of complaints as far as the site’s usability.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

I have no complaints. I speak with Antonio through the phone and email. We also have bi-monthly meetings. They kept pace with our schedule and were patient when explaining project aspects to us. They provide us with a help desk where we log our tickets if we have any support issues. It’s been helpful in tracking the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are well versed in DNN, which is something that only a few people offer—or at least write down as one of their services.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Maxiom is a well-rounded company. If you don’t have a plan they can direct you, but if you do have a plan they’ll follow your lead and listen to your ideas.

"“Their strategies were unique and prioritized our end-client’s requirements.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I manage new initiatives and projects for a hub services company in the pharmaceutical industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiom Technology?

A new client asked us to help overhaul their existing technology system, including database building and various system integrations. We needed a third-party to help with the development and transition process.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Maxiom Tech helped rebuild and update a healthcare services app for our end-client. Using mainly .NET Framework and JavaScript, the team developed backend coding and the necessary web portal and database architecture for a high-functioning platform. They integrated additional systems and security features and provided UX/UI design services to optimize accessibility and user engagement.

How did Maxiom Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

Maxiom Tech worked with our internal development team and diligently followed our workflow through VersionOne. The team showed favorable communication skills throughout the engagement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team was not only creative in the frontend design, but also in the backend coding. Their strategies were unique and prioritized our end-client’s requirements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Maxiom Tech could be more aware of their client’s logistical needs. A local team, or more frequent office visits, would have hastened the project’s progress.

Any advice for potential customers?

I have two main pieces of advice for potential partners. First, I recommend defining team requirements and expectations at the start of the engagement to avoid any misunderstandings or future conflicts. Second, Maxiom Tech’s team boasts a wide variety of expertise and customers should really leverage their suggestions and feedback.
