The scope of work encompassed a full redesign of our website, with a focus on improving usability, accessibility, and overall user experience while aligning with our brand and technical infrastructure. The project began with in-depth discovery and technical planning, allowing the agency to assess our needs, challenges, and opportunities.

Key deliverables included a restructured information architecture (IA) and navigation system, along with a clear and scalable taxonomy. The agency also developed detailed user personas and mapped customer journeys, which informed the design of intuitive booking flows and content pathways.

Accessibility and usability testing ensured the site met WCAG standards, expanding reach to a broader audience and improving overall site compliance. This has resulted in a measurable improvement in accessibility scores from auditing tools.

The implementation of a visual language library and a scalable Destination design system has enabled faster content deployment and design consistency, reducing time-to-publish for new pages by the internal team. At times, certain phases felt a bit rushed, and with more time, some aspects could have been explored in greater depth or refined further.

In particular, the initial discovery phase could have benefited from a more extended timeline. Given the complexity of our business and product offering, a deeper dive early on might have helped streamline later stages and ensured even greater alignment from the start. That said, Matic remained responsive and adaptable throughout, working closely with us to overcome these constraints and deliver a strong final result.

From the onset, I could tell that they not only truly listened to our needs/concerns, but also cared about them. It was different than other digital marketing agencies I'd met with and used in the past. This is why I initially went with them. I have a lot of business contacts equally frustrated by missed deadlines and poor performance from their digital agency hires who would love a dependable and thought-leading company to call a partner.

Throughout the discovery process and every meeting we have had, it only solidifies my initial hunch. Matic just does things differently. They think differently. They don't try to force you into a cookie cutter solution- they're flexible, they're dynamic, they listen, and they execute. The team at Matic is SO talented. They deliver impressive results/outcomes because they have incredibly impressive people working there.

None that I experienced! As mentioned, this is my fourth "digital marketing" agency to work with and I feel that I have some perspective to offer in this area. In my experience, most other companies have some glaring issue that you have to suss out through working with them. Matic has no "skeletons in the closet", if they make a mistake they'll own it and fix it. They communicate candidly, and they are not scared to offer valuable insight and feedback.

Its just a team of real and authentic and insanely talented people who want to run a good company. It's refereshing and I can't stress enough how DIFFERENT they are from anyone else I've ever worked with in this type of industry. They are now our partner for all of our brands/projects/marketing needs.

This UX/front-end design project was initiated as an execution phase of a rebranding effort. Firstly, Matic was tasked with auditing the existing destination website to recommend a new information architecture. The previous site navigation was a bit clever, making it difficult for site users to find information. 

Once that step was approved, Matic's design team worked on the web design to bring the refreshed look and feel together with the digital marketing objectives. We collaborated on a first pass, then worked through the needed page types and modules to deliver a final design handoff to the developer team.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The speed of the delivery met the project timeline when the internal design team wasn't available to accomplish – therefore the overall project has stayed on time and on budget. Overall improvement in the clarity and usability of the website improved.

The project management from the Matic team on this project was impeccable. They have the systems/tools in place to capture meeting feedback and make it into actionable next steps. While their team always delivered on time, I was slow on the first round of feedback. The PM was patient and clear about adjusting the rest of the deadlines. I felt it was a collaborative process where my ideas were respected and the client objectives were always paramount.

Despite an aggressive timeline, Matic delivered all items ahead of schedule. The team was extremely responsive to all questions and requests, and made themselves available to hop on impromptu calls whenever we needed. Some staffing changes mid-project required shifts in the project scope, but they went above and beyond to ensure all elements were handled and that our team was happy.
