Initially we were using a services of a company primarily involved in to template based development only and we needed a customised services. Hence we need someone who has an expertise in customised web development solutions with an exposure of digital marketing.

We inquired for a reliable and skilled customised web development services provider in our friend circle and one of our friend gave us reference of MAT Consultants. We called them up and ask for presentation with all technical framework details. MAT Consultants gave best presentation with precise solutions in accordance to our budget.

Scope of work included Design & Development of portal with a responsive layout, lead management system and a CMS based backend. Technology used for it is PHP & Wordpress.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

MAT Consultants developed a fantastic website for us and increased our inquiry submission ratio from 5 - 7 inquires per month to 200+ inquiries per month which added a lot of value to our business and revenue.

We used base camp for project management and slack for day to day communication.

We are an education company who are in the domain of providing quality improvement services, curriculum development, and end-to-end management of educational processes.

We had hired MAT Consultants for creating a comprehensive LMS for educational institutions and also to provide one-on-one standalone educational services to students preparing for various exams.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The vendor was selected on the basis of an open competitive selection process wherein we released the tender with the work description. The vendors were initially shortlisted on the basis of vintage of experience, team size and diversity in terms of previously completed projects, turnover of the firm, depth and breadth of domain experience, and most importantly, review from existing customers.

The work was to develop, install, and deploy an LMS for educational institutions that can be easily but securely replicated on institutional servers with utmost importance given to data security of student, teacher, and educational content data. The technologies that were used were primarily PHP and Codeignitor apart from security protocols for server security.

A total of 4 people interacted from the vendor side including the CEO of MAT Consultants, who we must admit, and it won't be an exaggeration if we say, is a highly professional man with very high standards of quality perception when it comes to customer deliverables and who goes out of the way to ensure the customer is delighted. The rest of the team comprised of a senior developer, software tester, and customer service associate.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The final product that came out after multiple rounds of testing and upgradation cycles (and we must again thank the CEO and his team for their patience to listen to and understand a bunch of technologically-challenged teachers regarding the changes they intend to make in order to make the platform a robust one without much of a competition) was a robust learning management system capable of handling around 2000 students at a time, taking live classes and exams, generating instant test results, and a lot more. The product is an instant hit amongst the school/college community who are using it to ease their burden and taking education to every nook and corner of India even during such adverse pandemic conditions.

The project was managed primarily through video calls of the entire team through Google Meet or Zoom followed by individual one-on-one calls if required for any clarifications. The entire team of MAT was available for us 24x7 which helped us in communicating the changes required or sharing error messages that we got. They maximum time they took to resolve our queries was never more than 24 hours. This was the reason why such a complex and sensitive project was completed in a record time of 2 months.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As far as we are concerned, what is unique and most impressive are the simple qualities of inclination towards customer service, patiently listening to and understanding the customer, give a reassuring smile when you tell them this is not what you intended them to make and they need to make it again from scratch (and this has happened multiple times since we were not that techno savvy), and finally when we compliment them for the more than excellent work they did, just smile again and say that they just did their job. Sometimes uniqueness lies in the amazing simplicity and modesty of things, which is a rarity in today's world.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No...They were excellent in what they did.

Once MAT Consultants completed the demo we moved ahead with full project we broke the project in Backend, API's, Frontend website and Android Application.

We were assigned a project manager, one designer, One Sr. PHP developer and Two Android Developers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

MAT Consultants delivered the App and admin backend along with a website in 4 months and App went live on Google Play store attracted 5K+ users via App and 3K+ user user for web based access.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

MAT Consultants and it's team is fantastic, they are very easy to communicate, Punctual to committed deadlines and they take every remark and feedback with the utmost sense of responsibility.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There are three things that i found most impressive; In-depth technical Knowledge & Analytical Skills, Seamless Communication, Feedback management.

We did not identify any such place in our journey.

I wanted a new website because the old website was poorly done.

They built the website for us based on a model from a UK brand. It was a very simple website. We wanted to have a normal payment gateway so that people could pay with their card as well as through online transfers.

There has been an increase in sales on the website. They have recommended that we do SEO, but we haven’t done that yet.

They were good. We usually communicated through WhatsApp.

It was quite a small project, and I was happy that it didn’t take a long time. They did exactly what I asked them to do.

We started our relationship when they built our WordPress website for us. They followed instructions we provided for the design of the platform. Later, they started offering us SEO services to make us more prominent in our industry.

They started working with us in December 2013, and our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

For a while, our metrics have been pretty consistent without anything too dramatic, but they’ve been reliable and trustworthy in terms of reaching out to us. I often have edits for them in terms of social media posts and terminology. We value them tremendously for their trustworthiness, though. Because they have access to our backend data and information. They always solve issues effectively when they come up.

How did MAT Consultants perform from a project management standpoint?

We can get in contact with them on WhatsApp. Our team hasn’t run into any problems with communication because they always respond to us in a timely manner. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their trustworthiness and honesty are their most impressive qualities.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Occasionally, we have language barrier issues when creating copy for our social media posts. I’d love to see our sales increase even further. At this point, our sales are steady but not increasing. It would be great to see a boost. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Social network management isn’t their strength, so I’d recommend supervising them if you choose to contact them for their services. If you’re on top of that, the effort will work out.

The android version of the app was delivered with minor issues which were solved prior to production. It also meets my expectations in terms of design and functionality.

We established short communication lines, sometimes directly with the developer. This led to effective cooperation.

They get close to the customer to best understand the requirements of the project.
