Malevich Company developed a Mobile App that enables users to register as clients or service providers. Clients can search for services, book appointments, and communicate directly with beauty masters via an integrated chat feature. Beauty masters can post their services, manage bookings through a convenient calendar system, and receive ratings and feedback from clients. The app also includes a robust rating and feedback system to ensure quality and trust within the platform.

Malevich turned our ideas into a full-featured mobile app that meets all of our needs. The quality of their work is outstanding and they were incredibly patient and supportive throughout the process.

Intially we were a Product team in an established company running an incubation project to look at new ideas. Recently we spun out to focus on this new idea full time. Today we are a funded startup building a new B2B SaaS offering.

We were looking for experienced web developers to help with frontend development to build a prototype web app that we used for user testing. In that stage it was about speed of prototype building as there was lots of re-work from user testing so we didn't want to waste much time on perfecting details in the early days.

From phase 1 we built an very impressive prototype that stood up very well during user testing and was then exhanced and beautified for investor presentations. For phase 2 an MVP was created in just 3 months that has been used live at events, rolled out to 100s of users so far

We had the developer on a daily stand-up so commination and management was via the stand-up

They did a great job! It was great - whenever our developer he would ask his colleagues and they would brainstorm things and it meant he normally came back quite quick with a suggestion and improvement.

The developer was early career so it took a little while to ramp - he was a very sharp individual so we stuck with it and it worked out very well for us over time.

We have interviewed a few vendors and Malevich was the one who did not talk about "rocket science bullshit". They show involvement in the project by asking concrete questions about our expectations on how should they develop specified functions.

We provide Malevich with quite detailed backend and frontend tech specifications and the full UI kit. There was one main delivery and a few post-delivery feature requests done. They used node.js and react.

There was a project manager, CTO, and a few "developers", I'm not sure about their actual positions.

The work was done well and it was done strictly on time and on the agreed budget. I worked with dozens of teams and would recommend them for sure!

We have used telegram group chats. I had just a few conversations with the manager and CTO while the main delivery and direct communications with developers on bug fixing and additional feature implementation.

They have just done it all on time - really rare finding in our times )

Looking back I can say that it would be very helpful to get not only code and installation service but also some docs about "how is it working inside". But it was not specified in our requirements, so I can't complain.

At the moment, 400 users are already registered in our system. The number of orders is growing by about 30% month on month.

We use an Agile approach. We use Slack, Bitbucket, Jira. I communicate regularly with everyone involved in the development process. We also regularly organize general calls to discuss current and future tasks.

I like the product that this team is developing. I feel a customer-oriented approach.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes I find some bugs, but the team fixes them quickly. Therefore, I consider this a normal workflow.

We hired Malevich Studio for our website design and development. Our goal was to get a nice-looking, useful, and bugless eShop. Then we continued our collaboration with Malevich with the request for business automatization - in the past, we used Google sheets for order management and communications with the storage operations team. It was hell! Now they are working on a new version of our site with renewal design, SPA and PWA technologies, and new features.

I based my decision on feedbacks on freelance platform. Key reasons were a good cost and team location.

We had a call with the manager and developer of Malevich Studio. We discussed technical issues and design and describe our vision of the site. They sent us a few design options. I discussed it with my cofounders and we select one of them. Soon we got a ready working site. It is based on PHP and Yii2 framework.

About CRM. Malevich Studio for deep research of our business operation process. They proposed a few solutions for our issue. We didn't believe in the success of this project because it was very difficult and confusing. But all issues were solved. All processes became automated and clear to understand and our team is happy.

Our recent collaboration regards the renewal of our website. The approach was similar to our first experience - we had a meeting with the manager, designer, and developer of Malevich Studio and we discussed our vision of the new website and how it can be implemented. Then they provided us with the design, and after some changes, we approved it and started a development which is ongoing now.

We worked with a manager, two designers, 4 or 5 developers, and 1 QA specialist. In total up to 10 people, but not at the same time.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As I mentioned before we received a cool CRM system - made to cover our business needs. We reduced the time of operations (for the new order) from approximately 2 hours to less than 15 minutes from receiving an order to preparing it for delivery. Decreasing amount of mistakes in operations (wrong delivery adresses, etc.). Also, our new website is much more fit for mobile devices, because we realized that over 80% of our orders are made from phones.

Their manager always collects all information before the start of work, including deep consideration of our business processes. Then we receive a detailed estimation of the cost of each stage or task, and terms of implementation - so we can plan our expenses. About communication - their answer us even on the weekend. We have direct communication with the development team and developers can ask about all unclear issues or warn about unexpected issues.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They surprised me with their attention to listening and hearing what I was telling them about my business. Also, they have made propositions that could improve my website even if the cost of development became less - I appreciate it.

We needed to create a backend database linked to a user profile web application which contained a lot of steps needed for a user to create a custom profile. Malevich assisted us in the development of the front end website, backend database management, and API communication between our backend and browser extension component of our product.

We were looking for a team that understood our product requirements, was available to communicate, had experience in the relevant technologies used for our project, and had successfully completed previous projects.

There were two people in the code engineering team (front end / back end) as well a product manager that I communicated with frequently.

The product was completely exactly as specified and within the estimated budget and timeframe. Any future bugs were fixed even after the completion of the project and in general, it was extremely easy to work with this company, and they were very flexible with our product adjustments as well as very good in communicating timelines / steps.

They shared a Jira and Bit-Bucket account so I could review steps and code updated. We mainly communicated via skype chat and google meet video calls weekly.

I appreciated their initiative in proposing changes to the product and offering ideas for how to optimize. Their understanding and expertise within these technologies allowed them to recommend to our company great solutions backed by solid reasoning.

While the quality of work was great, we did have to extend the timeline of the project. This was no one's fault, but more so a result of unexpected bugs and added complexity to the project that we simply could no foresee beforehand.
