2. Whitepaper Management & Gated Downloads. The team replaced a manual HTML-based publishing workflow with a Drupal-native, editor-friendly whitepaper management system. It includes dedicated content modeling for whitepapers, gated and public access control, built-in lead capture via Webform, secure file delivery, and SEO-safe content migration. Editorial teams can now publish and manage whitepapers entirely through the CMS without touching HTML, and the organization has seen measurable improvements in both lead generation and content security. 

3. Event Notification & Subscription System. Magnetic Point designed and developed a scalable subscription mechanism allowing visitors to receive notifications about newly published events. The solution includes automated event-triggered notifications, background processing via Drupal Queue API, one-click unsubscribe, and full subscriber lifecycle management. The system was built with performance in mind and supports large subscriber bases without any impact on site responsiveness. 

4. Environment Configuration & Deployment Management (Acquia Cloud). Magnetic Point provided support in configuring and maintaining development workflows on Acquia Cloud, including environment setup (dev/stage/prod), Git-based code repository management, and deployment pipeline configuration. The team ensured consistent environment synchronization, safe and controlled releases, and proper version control practices.

1. Strategy, Discovery, and Information Architecture

The project began with a thorough analysis of our requirements and target user groups, including prospective students, current students, alumni, and business partners. As part of a comprehensive audit and optimization phase, the team reviewed our legacy CMS and existing content to provide strategic recommendations for a more intuitive information architecture and content hierarchy. To ensure a smooth delivery, they provided strategic roadmapping by developing a detailed project timeline that accounted for all key development stages, technical dependencies, and testing phases. A primary focus of the platform was achieving total inclusivity by ensuring every functional element is accessible to all users regardless of their physical or cognitive needs. The team implemented an integrated accessibility layer that allows for real-time interface adaptations through pre-configured profiles for users with visual impairments, epilepsy, ADHD, or cognitive disabilities. Most notably, we successfully transitioned to a Drupal Multidomain architecture, which now allows us to centrally manage our main domain and the moja.zpsb.pl intranet portal from a single, unified codebase.

The project also delivered a verified WCAG 2.1 AA compliant platform, featuring advanced accessibility profiles and manual adjustment tools that have made our academic offer inclusive to all users, including those with visual or cognitive impairments. From a functional standpoint, the integration of Drupal Search API resulted in a high-performance, interactive course catalog that allows prospective students to filter degrees in real-time by level, mode, and price. Additionally, the team implemented a site-wide search engine, enabling users to quickly and accurately locate news, articles, and institutional information across the entire platform.

Our internal operations have seen significant progress as well. The implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) integrated with our central Microsoft system has streamlined administrative access, while the new modular component system has empowered our non-technical staff to independently build and manage complex pages. Finally, the seamless migration of over 500 legacy entries, including news archives and research publications, ensured that our institutional history was fully preserved within the modern Drupal structure.

The overall scope of the project is to provide support and ongoing maintenance to the website, as well as providing Drupal/and PHP services in order to implement new features. The first step was to carry out a technical audit and recommend actions in areas such as performance, technical SEO, Drupal modules and PHP versions. The next step was to implement improvements resulting from the audit. 

This stage included upgrading Drupal and its modules, as well as upgrading the PHP version and planning and executing the migration to new servers. As a result, the website performance significantly increased with increase in CTR and overall conversion. Work is currently underway to optimize the code, introduce UX improvements and modify integration with a number of services using the API endpoints.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After upgrading the site to Drupal 9 and migrating to the new servers, we have seen a big improvement in speed and performance. This has had the effect of increasing traffic which has directly translated into increased sales. Currently, we are working to boost the website traffic, which is the main challenge we are facing to make the project a significant success. On top, it made the website ready for gaining SEO positions.

Monitoring as part of the technical audit. We have noticed a few downtimes due to Solr implementation. We couldn’t avoid that and isn’t on Magnetic Point, but we could have invested more in alarming to ensure we were aware something went down.

My company Credit House Ltd, where I held the role of Vice President, decided to expand its offer to online mortgage services.

Based on excellent recommendations, we hired Magnetic Point to build the complex digital experience from scratch: from the discovery and the requirements definition stage, visual identity creation and the UX+layout design through the CMS implementation and the custom modules development.

In addition, during the project's life cycle, the company provided us with aftercare/support services.

We created a request for a proposal and shortlisted three companies. Hiponet.pl is one of the largest mortgage portals in Poland. It is dedicated to people who intend to gain their first mortgage and those who already have basic knowledge about mortgage loans but expect reliable, up-to-date, accurate information. Hiponet.pl was the first mortgage site to provide a creditworthiness calculator integrated with a loan comparison engine - thanks to which it is possible to determine creditworthiness and match the cheapest mortgage offer simultaneously.

We were looking for a reliable company to help us with the project, taking care of the whole project lifecycle from beginning to finish. The first stage of the Hiponet project was the discovery phase. Magnetic Point arranged a series of workshops where they identified our business needs and expectations in detail. The next step was creating a visual identity, which we have used for many years in online and offline operations. A significant part was the detailed approach to the UI design stage.

First, Magnetic Point provided high-fidelity wireframes, followed by clear and user-friendly layouts. The most challenging aspect of the project was the functionality and online tools for the end user to compare mortgage quotes. This was a very demanding project stage on the front and back end. Complex math formulas, algorithms for comparing mortgage parameters, and document generators were just some of the portal functionalities. The company also secured the complete deployment process with the go-live launch of the portal. Key technologies: PHP: Zend Framework, JS, HTML, CSS.

We had an Account Manager, Technical Project Manager, UX/UI Designer, 1 x Frontend Developer, 2 x Backend Developers, QA and a DevOps specialist.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

From project plans to documentation, Magnetic Point produced neat and organised deliverables. A variety of design options were presented to us, and we decided on one. As a result of a collaborative design process, the user journey was optimised and based on best practices. Professionally designed, fast, and search engine optimised, the website is an excellent example of what the company can do. Magnetic Point's scope of work covered 6 main areas:

• discovery stage,
• visual identity design,
• preparation of the information architecture and UX/UI design, development of mortgage calculators and online tools,
• implementation of the CMS system,
• aftercare.

This project’s most significant programming challenge was creating modules to manage mortgage offers from different banks. Magnetic Point developed a set of tools that allowed the editor's team to continuously handle the parameters of mortgage offers based on our analysis of business processes.

A CMS developed by Magnetic Point enabled the editorial team to manage articles, tutorials, and mortgage knowledge bases. At its peak, the project was generating 60,000 visits per month, which were converted into 50 leads per month.

In one of the project phases, thanks to the SEO optimisation and cooperation between Magnetic Point and an external SEO company, the number of portal visits grew by 100%, from 30,000 to 60,000 per month, which significantly impacted the incoming leads. As a result, the bounce rate has decreased remarkably.

Magnetic Point expertly managed the project. It started with a series of workshops. Then, with our constant access, they planned and scheduled the development using the ActiveCollab software (time tracking, planning timeline, kanban cards, and team calendar).

Finally, Magnetic Point kept frequent status calls and meetings to update on the progress of the work. Video calls, emails, and occasionally telephone conversations served as the primary modes of daily communication.
