Starting up the business in the middle of the pandemic, we were short of staff for marketing activities so we wanted to outsource marketing. We hired Magister for the branding service and social media marketing service.

I searched for marketing outsourcing in Vietnam and Magister is one of the top searches. Magister fulfills my criteria as I need a marketing team that can cover target customers who mostly are foreigners. I talked with Chris – Magister representative, he has explained in detail to me about the process of work, what kind of solution Magister can offer and later, provided me with a break-down estimation. I could see great potential from the collaboration between Magister and Red Lion Hanoi so I decided to work with them.

There are two main objectives of this project. One is do branding for Red Lion and another is managing Red Lion's social media accounts. Everything was built from the beginning, setting up the foundation for the whole development later on. A strong digital presence will be a good and stable start for Red Lion.

The two main tasks of the project branding and social media marketing are started at the same time. The process - Planning and creative thinking: branding and social media plan proposal from Magister - Red Lion Hanoi feedback, adjusting process and approvement - Magister performed marketing activities according to the plan - Evaluation and report - Hand over when the project ends

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We started the project 4 months ago. The brand-building process and social media have been carried out bringing great results and feedback from our customers. The sale increases greatly since the opening. Even in the pandemic lockdown, the bar can still offer to take away the brand presence online. I received monthly reports which explained how the process is going and the records of implementation. This helped me a lot with operation management.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The working timeline is followed strictly by Magister team. Information transfer between the 2 teams was effective, with no misunderstanding. Magister’s project manager is always ready to support us which is appreciated.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Magister working process is professional that makes it easier for both teams.

Nothing for now.

I’m the former Marketing Manager at ... (School). In the early 2019, we target to collaborate with corporate partnership programs to make our subjects more attactive, then we can have more students enrolling in, therefore, I have to deal with the new Brand Building Strategy for this purpose of the school.

To support our partnership programs, we compiled monthly data reports on each organization’s web performance and marketing efforts. However, it was a time-consuming process that involved manually pulling key performance indicators (KPIs) from 6–7 sources and putting them into an Excel-based dashboard. Magister Marketing and Consultancy came onboard to overhaul our reporting processes, developing a series of robust dashboards to better track our program metrics. Besides, they provided me with the persuasive proposal of how to buil a brand, what should be done, who should be targeted and where to launch the promotions.

I was recommended by my old friend from the college. Her current company, BeetSoft also worked with Magister then they achiecve the success here.

Magister Marketing and Consultancy created an example of dashboard based in Google Data Studio. Their team wrote custom scripts and APIs that would automatically aggregate data on each of our partner organizations. That dashboard would then generate reports based on the programs’ website, social media, email analytics, paid advertising, and newsletter inclusions. After that, we have worked in a smooth way of reporting. One of the most beneficial features was a horizontal overview of all of our partner organizations. By comparing metrics across programs, we could establish benchmarks to better improve individual program performance.

Christopher Ranasinghe (CEO, Magister Marketing and Consultancy) initially worked with us to establish the project details and tailor the solution. Celine Ng (Head of Marketing, Magister Marketing and Consultancy) and the team of 5 members.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The new dashboards have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both our internal team and partners. The interface is visually appealing, and the automation makes it much easier for our team to update the data. I was particularly impressed with how well they tailored the solution considering that they’d never done anything like this at such a large scale.

Meet tight the deadlines, supportiveness, clearly plans and targets for each period of time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Magister Marketing and Consultancy had a solution-oriented mindset and tailored their work to suit our needs. Even if I didn’t have a concrete idea in mind, they always found a way to deliver so long as I defined the desired outcome.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, nothing comes to mind. From my understanding, this was a relatively new area of business for them that they hadn’t grown out yet, but it was incredibly helpful for me. They should consider dedicating parts of their business to helping clients visualize marketing KPIs because there’s a lot of demand for that.

When working on the translated text, if there is a portion that has not been rewritten do not include it in the work product submitted. It's confusing to the client when garbled machine translation appears after well-crafted manual translation.

For this project, the main objective is to optimize 49P website visibility online, targeting more customers. As the pandemic disrupted many business buying processes, staying at a high-ranking position on search secures a high possibility to meet potential customers. Additionally, 49P want to target more business customer to build more diversity customer profile. SEO effort is the answer for all this. This project includes 3 main parts with specific tasks

Part 1: Magister did an audit on the current website, analyse 49P market and positioning

Part 2: - Magister proposes a plan and an estimated timeline - Magister does as in the approved plan: technical optimizing, content developing, link building

Part 3: - Magister does report and evaluation.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have been doing the project for 3 months. I can see an increase in the number of leads coming which is one of the ultimate goals. Website content and social media content are gradually structured, made with a lot of effort. I really appreciate Magister team as dentistry content is not common knowledge. Every month, I have the report of work result which is very helpful for me to catch up with the process.

Mai Linh, the project manager of Magister is smart and hard-working. She has provided me with support in time, detailed in reports. Magister team follow the working timeline strictly so it is easy for 2 teams to catch up with other works.

The team’s professional working style and their creativity are the most impressive thing to me. I also learned a lot from them.

Nothing much for now. I think it will be smooth until this project finish.
