Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the CEO of Conversio, a tech software startup. We are focused on providing a productivity tool for property managers. Our tool sits on top of email, SMS messaging, and chat to help them be more productive in handling apartment and home renter and vendor interactions.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with M & M Multimedia LLC?

We had a big trade show coming up and wanted to feature a short video on our site that explained our product because it was very innovative in the space. In order to quickly show off our product and its capabilities, we wanted a looping video for the trade show booth.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

M & M Multimedia LLC produced a video for us. They were instrumental in our storyboarding phase. Their team helped us determine the messaging of the video and selecting motion graphic styles. 

We provided them with examples of videos we wanted to emulate, and they worked to achieve that look. This video did not involve shooting any footage, it is animated shots of our software in action. The M & M Multimedia LLC team also helped us pick out the background music.

We worked with three members of their team, including a project supervisor, a video editor, and an administrator. 

How did you come to work with M & M Multimedia LLC?

When we were looking for potential partners, we viewed their portfolio. M & M Multimedia LLC hit the sweet spot where they could create a high-quality product without costing an exorbitant amount. Their portfolio showed they have enough motion graphics capabilities to produce the type of video we were looking for.

We invested about $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement ran from February–March 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The video made it quick and easy for our sales team to demo our software. We showcased the video on our website for a year and a half, took it to every trade show, and sent it in every email. We got a lot of use after it. When we talk to our customers, they have a much better understanding of our product because of this video.

How did M & M Multimedia LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Due to our compressed time frame, our teams mostly communicated via Skype. They were also available over text. M & M Multimedia LLC is very open to using multiple channels of communication.

They are willing to work long hours. Once I requested revisions on a Friday, and they got the changes to me Saturday morning. Thanks to that, we were able to have the video up at our trade show booth. Their incredible accommodating.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We received a very high-quality video for a reasonable price. It looks like a product we could have paid thousands of dollars for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything went really well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t underestimate the importance of the storyboarding phase. It wasn’t until I talked to the team at M & M Multimedia LLC that I realized how important having our messaging figured out was to the video. Investing time in the storyboarding phase paid off, they really helped guide us.
