What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our engagement with LunarLab produced several concrete outcomes that moved the project forward:

• Through structured discovery sessions, we clarified the core value proposition and defined user personas, which helped us focus on the needs of donors and nonprofit partners more effectively.
• LunarLab delivered detailed user flows and wireframes that outlined the entire donor experience, from discovering a need to making a contribution, which we used directly in stakeholder presentations and early fundraising conversations.
• The clickable prototype created during the engagement became a central asset in our pitch materials. It allowed us to clearly demonstrate the product experience to partners, developers, and funders.
• The design documentation and strategy output from the project gave our internal team clarity and a shared language to move into technical planning with confidence. This reduced analysis paralysis and internal debate.

LunarLab did an exceptional job of keeping the project on track and on time - not just managing their own deliverables, but also gently holding us accountable to the timeline we committed to. Their approach was structured without being rigid, which helped keep momentum steady throughout.

They were highly responsive and flexible when we had suggestions or requested changes. Importantly, they integrated feedback efficiently and never let those pivots jeopardize the overall schedule. We always had visibility into the project status, upcoming milestones, and decisions needed from our side, which made collaboration smooth and low-stress. At times, even fun!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What really stood out about LunarLab was how they combined strategic thinking with great design. They didn’t just make things look good, they took the competitive research and market analysis we had already done, pulled out the most important insights, and used that to shape the UX and overall product direction. It felt like they really understood where we were trying to go and helped us get there faster. They made the whole process feel collaborative and easy.

Are there any areas for improvement or something LunarLab could have done differently?

If anything, LunarLab brought such a structured and efficient process that it occasionally moved faster than we could internally keep up with. This is primarily due to the fact that as an agency, we are working on many projects at once that split our focus. That said, they were always flexible and responsive when we needed to slow down or revisit something. Their ability to maintain momentum without being pushy was actually a huge asset.

LunarLab has been commissioned on multiple new product launches. Deliverables included usability research, new UI/UX designs for both web and mobile and enhanced features to aid in enhancing the products utility and engagement for customers.

Our primary project is still in the building phase. LunarLabs designs, availability for design reviews with our technical team, participation in user testing and detailed documentation, have aided in ensuring our project meets expectations.

LunarLab is proactive in communication. There was never a time where we were unclear on next steps or who was accountable for a task. They met, and in many cases beat, every deadline we had for our project.

LunarLab is extremely knowledgable and became a valuable part of our development project. They took time to clearly understand our goals and customer needs. Their recommendations and designs reflected this knowledge. In addition, they aided us in refining our objectives after user testing revealed new opportunities and areas of focus that were not as important as we orignially had believed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something LunarLab could have done differently?

No improvements - they really are one of the best teams we have worked within the UI/UX market. I am looking forward to future projects!

Complete Figma files including design for our home screen, search, customer account & onboarding, booking, and payment. I shared with our engineering team who commented on how well the build-out went because of the LunarLab collaboration! Additionally, we received 4 high-quality prototypes and mockups for our pitch deck and website that helped us raise startup funding.

My favorite thing about working with LunarLab is their desire to deeply understand our product and culture. They always appeared fully invested in our desired outcomes, and I never had to question motivation or effort. It felt like they were a full part of our team, not just a third-party contractor.

Are there any areas for improvement or something LunarLab could have done differently?

The only real challenge we had during our project was identifying quality research participants.  If there were some system to make that process more efficient, that would be helpful.  Most of that is outside of Lunar Lab's control because we were dependent on the responsiveness of our users to interview requests.
