I’m the CEO of RYD Nepal Pvt Ltd, a motorcycle and bike rental company for gig workers, delivery riders, and daily courters.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lumetha?

Running RYD is demanding, and managing our operations through paper records had become increasingly difficult as we grew. We approached LUMETHA with the goal of digitizing our day-to-day processes.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

LUMETHA’s fractional CTO delivered exactly what we needed. Their team developed a custom software solution that has centralized our entire workflow. We can now efficiently manage employee and rider attendance, inventory, stock management, billing, reporting, bike scheduling, GPS integration, and much more all from a single platform.
Before working with LUMETHA, most of our operations were spread across spreadsheets, WhatsApp conversations, and paper contracts. There wasn’t a single place where everything came together, which made day-to-day management and reporting difficult. We asked them to design and build a complete system tailored to our business, starting from scratch.
LUMETHA developed a platform that now manages our entire rider lifecycle, from registration and agreement signing to security deposits and bike returns. It also keeps track of bike information, mileage, locations, scheduling, handovers, and attendance.
On the financial side, LUMETHA automated our weekly invoicing process, including penalties, discounts, and payment tracking. The system also manages security deposits, expenses, vendor payments, cash records, and payroll, including local tax calculations, SSF, advances, and allowances.
LUMETHA built workshop management features as well, where servicing is automatically triggered based on mileage, mechanics work through digital job cards, and spare parts are deducted from inventory as they’re used. Accident cases can be tracked from the initial report through to final settlement.
In addition, LUMETHA created functionality for managing corporate clients with bulk bike allocations and custom pricing, along with workflow automation for recurring business processes such as onboarding and inspections. These processes include approvals, document generation, and role-based access controls with two-factor authentication for added security.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Tasks that previously took our team days, particularly weekly invoicing, are now completed by the system in a fraction of the time. We have much better visibility over deposits, inventory, and operations, and when we need enhancements, the team is responsive and usually delivers them within a few days.
Overall, LUMETHA has built a solution that has become a core part of our daily operations, and we’ve been very satisfied with both the quality of the software and their ongoing support.
Since moving away from spreadsheets, we’ve been able to see the impact through the system’s own data. Over 1,900 weekly invoices have been generated automatically, with fines, discounts, carry forwards, and payments calculated without manual work. This has removed one of the biggest sources of billing errors for our business.
The platform has also managed hundreds of rider contracts and security deposits, with documents generated automatically instead of being prepared by hand. 
In our workshop, more than 1,100 service jobs have been tracked through the system, with spare parts deducted directly from inventory and servicing scheduled automatically based on live mileage instead of manual reminders. It even helps us forecast the parts we’ll need in advance, which has reduced delays caused by waiting for stock.
Another major improvement is accountability. Every important action is recorded, giving us a clear audit trail that simply wasn’t possible when we relied on spreadsheets. The time savings have been significant. Weekly billing that previously took several hours is now largely automated, and when combined with contract generation, payment reconciliation, and maintenance scheduling, the system has eliminated a substantial amount of repetitive administrative work. 
As our fleet and rider base continued to grow, we were able to handle the increased workload without needing to hire additional back office staff.
We’ve seen a significant improvement in accuracy across all three areas. Before the system, most of our billing, payroll, and inventory records were managed through spreadsheets and manual calculations, which naturally led to occasional errors and a lot of time spent checking figures. 
Since moving to the platform, billing is generated automatically based on predefined rules, payroll calculations follow local tax and SSF requirements, and inventory is updated in real time as spare parts are used in the workshop.
The biggest change is consistency. We spend far less time correcting mistakes or reconciling records because everyone is working from the same data. The built-in validation, audit logs, and automated calculations have given us much greater confidence in the accuracy of our financial and operational records.

How did Lumetha perform from a project management standpoint?

LUMETHA’s project management was one of the strongest aspects of the engagement. They assigned us a fractional CTO who acted as both a technical advisor and project lead, making communication straightforward and ensuring business requirements were translated into practical solutions.
The project was well organized, with regular progress updates, clear priorities, and frequent demonstrations of completed features. Milestones were delivered on schedule, and we always had visibility into what was being worked on next. They were also very responsive to feedback, and changes or new requirements were typically incorporated within a few days.
Overall, they delivered the complete platform in under six months, on time and in line with the agreed scope. Even after the initial launch, they continued to support us with ongoing improvements and enhancements as our business evolved.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to understand our business, challenge our thinking when needed, and turn complex operational problems into practical software with exceptional speed and responsiveness.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were a few occasions where additional documentation or user guides would have helped with internal training, but the team was always quick to explain new features and address our questions. Overall, we were very satisfied with how the project was managed and delivered.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lumetha provided us with development services on a time and material basis for several projects, ranging from mobile apps (native and hybrid) to full stack platforms, e-commerce, and blockchain projects involving the development of EVM-based smart contracts. For the Genesys project, Lumetha handled the whole project, including containerized backend services, e-commerce frontend, mobile app, and Raspberry Pi-based device onboard microservice.

Lumetha delivered a demo platform. We also saw progress through project milestones and technical achievements along the way, such as being able to start a print remotely.
