I’m a co-founder of Backbone Coffee Co.

What challenge were you trying to address with Loupe Theory?

We contacted Loupe Theory to help us develop a business strategy and figure out who we wanted to be and look like as a company. We also brought them on to handle our marketing and web design. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We contacted Max (Founder & Executive Producer) and gave Loupe Theory a brief overview of what we were looking for. From there, Loupe Theory started to help us categorize and visualize what we were trying to communicate. We’ve gone through a discovery phase to build a roadmap that is representative of the company we want to create. 

We’ve started the development phase, and Loupe Theory has brought in potential artists to create the designs we want on our coffee bags. They’ve also provided us a web designer to start outlining the website. 

So far, Loupe Theory has delivered a mission and vision statement and conducted competitor analysis. They’ve also developed a content calendar and assisted us with social media management. We’re currently designing the website and deciding the final touches on the logo and color scheme.

We found Loupe Theory through a referral.

We’ve spent around $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2023, and the engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We don’t have any metrics because we haven’t launched yet. However, we have been thrilled with the quality of work that they have provided. Everything that Loupe Theory has created has been above and beyond our expectations. We would not be where we are without their assistance. 

How did Loupe Theory perform from a project management standpoint?

Loupe Theory has hit most of the deadlines, and they have stayed within budget for everything in their control. The web design phase has been more expensive, but that isn’t their fault. We primarily meet via Zoom. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Max has been incredible to work with. He has not only taken the time to teach us; he has led us step-by-step through the process. He is hardworking and is a wonderful person to be around. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been very impressed with their creative direction and ability to bring our vision to reality. They are organized and effectively coordinate different contractors. Their team is also reliable and dedicated. We appreciate that they challenge us and our ideas to be more productive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we can come up with at this point. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be proactive with their team and ensure you’re responsive to Loupe Theory’s needs. If you’re proactive and hit your deadlines, it will help their team complete things faster.
