LC was hired to refresh our old website in 2018. They have since done that and more as we have repeatedly used them since the website refresh to help with marketing materials and the like.

SOLUTION

How did you select Liquified Creative and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed a few firms, but LC was the most cost effective and quickest to respond to our inquiries and they had some fun ideas.

LC moved our website to Wordpress and hosted us for a how-to seminar on its back end use. They stayed up to date with our deadlines for having the site go live and were very transparent with each step. Key deliverable was going live.

3 people were on the team. We had the communications manager and our personal associate.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Very happy with our new site. We have had feedback that the back end is more user friendly for clients.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Communication tools were email. Generally, everything is delivered in a timely manner. We usually follow up near the deadline to check on status, but overall very happy.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have fun ideas of imagery for our site, and we appreciate how close they are to our office as well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Only feedback would be to email more often with progress reports. But hasn't been much of an issue.

I’m the business development manager. We provide operation support, maintenance, and asset management services to the solar energy industry.

Our website was outdated, so we needed a new site that was fresh and modern.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first gave them an idea of what we wanted. Based on that, Liquified Creative designed and developed a site from scratch. The purpose of the site was to provide customers information on our services.

Our point of contact was Caitlin (Director of Marketing), who pretty much took care of everything. There were also some teammates working behind the scenes.

Someone referred Liquified Creative to me.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–June 2021. We continue to work with them on other projects.

We don’t have any metrics yet, but we liked the website.

How did Liquified Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Liquified Creative performed really well. They adhered to the milestones they set. We communicated through phone calls and email, and they were always responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their work was amazing. The team was also very responsive.

I have nothing bad to say about the team — everything was perfect.

Have an idea of what you want, but remain open to their suggestions.

I’m the managing member of a law firm in the DC area that primarily represents design professionals.

What challenge were you trying to address with Liquified Creative?

We were starting a new law firm and needed assistance with our branding strategy. A new logo and website were the key items we were looking for.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Liquified Creative met with us to understand our business goals. After that meeting, they identified and delivered 5–10 options for our logo. Once we selected the look and feel we wanted, they developed a larger style guide. They adhered to these new branding elements in building our website, pitch decks, letterhead, and collateral.

They now provide ongoing website maintenance and develop content for emails and social media.

What is the team composition?

We dealt primarily with Shawn (Founding Partner & Creative Director) and John (Principal & Director of Business Development).

They identified the initial scope of services before they turned it over to their larger team to develop our website and other materials. We typically work with Jamie (Marketing Manager), who provides updates and ongoing maintenance for our website.

How did you come to work with Liquified Creative?

They were a referral by a previous partner of theirs. We met with Shawn and John and immediately saw that their approach was aligned with our firm’s needs.

What is the status of this engagement?

We engaged them in December of 2017, and we have an ongoing relationship. We primarily work with them on a one-off project basis.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have any hard numbers, but they’ve delivered high-quality branding materials — like our new logo — that have met our expectations. We’ve received exceptional feedback about our new look and feel. Our clients have inquired about our design partners upon looking at our sleek website.

How did Liquified Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re generally very good. Shawn is typically very hands-on about following up on items and addressing issues as they emerge.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t have experience working with other vendors, but I’ve been very happy with the icon and logo they’ve delivered. They’ve been able to establish a coherent visual representation of our brand throughout the different materials they develop for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think so.

Be proactive in engaging them. That helps them understand their client’s needs and expectations.

I’m the VP of operations at Five Star Physician Services. We provide multi-state physician services to post-acute and long-term care patients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Liquified Creative?

We brought Liquified Creative in to help update our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team rebuilt our website from start to finish. We had an initial discovery session, where Liquified Creative helped us understand what areas we should be covering based on our market. They helped us develop phrasing for our content to play up our company’s strengths.

We refined our strategy several times as the engagement went on with Liquified Creative’s help, and each time we did, they consulted with us on how to market most effectively. 

On top of that, the team also designed a range of collateral, including our name badges, graphics, and flyers. They finetuned our look, feel, and brand, and put it all together in one package.

All of my dealings were always with John (Agency Partner) and Shawn (Founding Partner & Creative Director). Others from my organization dealt with their team directly.

How did you come to work with Liquified Creative?

I worked with Liquified Creative in a prior role; they were chosen by our inhouse marketing person. They had great ideas, and we were happy with their services, so when I came to my new company, I decided to bring them on. 

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost was between $100,000–$150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from May 2015–December 2017. The team still maintains our website and the system as needed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Liquified Creative helped us develop a message and focus in on that message so that we could execute it. They did a phenomenal job of grasping what it was we were trying to convey and putting it into graphics, writing, and the website.

How did Liquified Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well. Any time we asked them to do something, they would bring us in and we’d sit down, identify what we wanted it to look like, and have a discussion. Then, they’d execute.

They’re right down the street from us, so we frequented each other’s offices throughout the engagement. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their individual customer service sets them apart from their competition. They built their organization as a friendly marketing company. Liquified Creative has a vested interest in their clients’ success. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish they were cheaper, so that we could utilize their services more. I really enjoy working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what you want when you walk in the door. Be able to draw something up for them so they understand what you’re looking for. They’ll take your ideas and expound on them.

I’m the director of development at the American Breast Cancer Foundation, which is a national 501(c)(3) charitable organization. I’m responsible for raising funds for the organization to help individuals who are either under-insured or have no insurance.

What challenge were you trying to address with Liquified Creative?

Our organization’s three main goals are to get the word out about who we are and our programs, to educate our clients on how we can help individuals in need, and to fundraise. Liquified Creative helps us achieve those goals by driving our digital marketing and increasing our brand presence.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Their team has done numerous projects, including marketing materials, SEO work on our site, proposal work, and more. Our PR and marketing tool kits are particularly important because we send those out to our corporate partners and individual donors who host fundraisers on our behalf.

We also task them with designing graphics for our print and digital materials. For example, we’re currently raising money to provide 5,000 mammograms to women in need. Their team created the digital artwork for the campaign, which we promoted through our social media channels as well as our website and newsletter.

I primarily work with Jamie (Marketing Manager) on the website materials and Shawn (Founding Partner) for the design work on our marketing materials.

How did you come to work with Liquified Creative?

I knew them from my previous work at a medical center foundation. Liquified Creative was a sponsor there, and that’s how I became familiar with their work. Everything they produced was just excellent, so the center relied on them more and more for creative projects.

Our shared history in philanthropy and their location made it easy to bring them on for this project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve paid them around $30,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

In my current position, I started working with them in early 2018 and continue to work with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Both our recurring donations and online donations have gone up, in part due to Liquified Creative’s work. The products that they create for us are really innovative and beautifully done, especially when compared to other organizations with similar purposes.

The artwork in our newsletters and on our website also gets a lot of praise. Fundraising professionals have come in to look at our materials, giving positive feedback there. We were even chosen by the US State Department to host a delegation event. The guests complimented our artwork and asked who’d done it. 

How did Liquified Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They work mostly with our media person who’s in charge of our social media and educational outreach. But, if there’s a project that suddenly pops up and we need a 48-hour turnaround, we can call Shawn and get that delivery. Occasionally, we’ll have to do a few rounds of revisions, but they often are right on target with their deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their expertise is essential to us, not to mention their quality of work and creativity. Since we started exclusively using them for our assets, they’ve really upped our game. I’m excited to see what they’ll do for the website we plan to launch in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any criticism of their work nor responsiveness. They beat their deadlines, and their assets are above and beyond what we want.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have them take a look at your marketing and branding materials at the start. One of the best things in this day and age is that any company can have great curb appeal through their materials. Liquified Creative can give you that brand facelift.

I recently did a proposal and asked for some creative assets, and they blew us away. In all of my peer reviews, everyone, including the director and other people I highly respect in my field, were amazed by the appeal of it.

I’m the CEO of Leadership Anne Arundel, a community leadership organization that focuses on inspiring, developing, and connecting local leaders.

What challenge were you trying to address with Liquified Creative?

I’ve been in my role only for last year, so I wasn’t here when Liquified Creative was first brought on board. When I came on board, I had a meeting with them about how they could help us with our 25th-anniversary event. We were looking to do some creative and video for that event We also wanted to shift our website to a new platform that’s more a membership portal.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Liquified Creative produces creative deliverables — banner ads, videos, and print materials — to amplify our presence. We recently did a tribute to our community leadership, and Liquified Creative made a program that we printed and sent to graduates. They also provided a flipbook format that we could post on our website and Facebook. They’ve also made all of our signage, both in-person and digital, depending on our events. The banner ads they make for us come in different sizes and formats so we can send them out to our third-party partners when we want to do advertising.

The new website is a SaaS platform that comes with a template. Liquified Creative didn’t code the site from scratch, but they customized the template so that it looks original. I can use plug-and-play features and WYSIWYG editors, but anything that’s unique or custom, Liquified Creative jumps in.

After we launched the site to October, Liquified Creative did some optimization so that we can manage our Google stats. I haven’t had the bandwidth to take advantage of that, but they have it set up and are happy to help us when we’re ready.

How did you come to work with Liquified Creative?

Liquified Creative was already working with us when I joined the role. I believe they acquired a company that used to help our organization. I also think they specialize in helping nonprofits in the local community.

They were initially in a more technical role, helping the backend of our website. I don’t think our previous leadership of the organization fully understood the breadth of Liquified Creative’s capabilities, so I decided to expand their services.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started my role in May 2019, and they had already been on board for some time. We still work together.

We’ve gotten a great response throughout our community from Liquified Creative’s work. The video they did for us for a big event got a lot of praise.

How did Liquified Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re really responsive. We always have a tight timeline and tight budget, and they make us look bigger and more proactive than we really can be with a small staff.

Liquified Creative is also upbeat and positive with a can-do attitude. For example, when COVID-19 hit, we had to transfer a live event to Zoom and Facebook Live. When I first reached out to Shawn (Founding Partner) to ask him if we could do this, he said, “Anything is possible.” The event was a huge success largely because of their team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I love their connection to the community and their passion for doing good in their own backyard. Having a partner that can embrace challenges and really support us has also been really great. They take big challenges in stride and can diffuse our small organization stresses.

No, we really just work well together.

Any advice for potential customers?

Talk them through everything you’d like to achieve so you can learn the whole range of possibilities. When I started working with them, I wasn’t familiar with all the ways they could help us. Let them in on everything so they can help fit pieces together.

I’m the president of Barbecue Battle Inc. We’ve been in business for 28 years. We market name brand foods to supermarkets. We also produce events to promote our barbecue products, the largest of which is our namesake event titled “Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle”.

We needed help developing and managing our site. We also needed help with social and digital media.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed a new website for us from scratch that’s more modern and much faster than our old site. They also manage our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter presences. The team now manages most of our advertising, which entails creating television and radio commercials, PR, press releases, and representing us to our client, Giant Food. Additionally, they do all of our graphics and enhance our site.

They keep us informed and respond when I need something from them. Shelby sends me a recap email every day of things that have happened. That’s really helpful for me so I know which action items need to be handled.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a great front-of-the-house company. In the past, I’ve worked with different graphic designers and web designers, but we never really saw them. The difference with Liquified Creative is that they always show up and represent our company. They truly represent our brand and feel like part of our team.
