We needed help with website and product development, video production, and branding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

LENKER worked on numerous projects for us, including website and product development, promotional video production, and branding. For website development, LENKER used Webflow and integrated a custom ERP system. We also changed tools almost annually to keep up with our digital marketing activities.

For the branding project, LENKER helped us with brand strategy, messaging, and corporate identity. We went through several workshops, and LENKER delivered options at the end of each one. We ended up with a brand package and chose the design we still use today and in all our marketing materials.

LENKER also produced and published several promotional videos. Additionally, the team created a substantial pitch deck that assisted us in selling our company to a private equity group. We used several different pieces of software that LENKER integrated into our CRM system. The tools they implemented were for tracking data and sales, but everything now resides on the Oracle NetSuite platform.

We usually worked with John, who set the path for his team. We also worked with a team member who handled the project.

LENKER was a referral from a friend in our village. I chose the team because of my comfort level with John; he was knowledgeable and a creative thinker. We hit it off and got down to business quickly.

Our spending was in the range of $50,000–$199,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with LENKER in the fall of 2013, and the last project concluded at the beginning of 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We saw an increase in brand awareness. When we started working with LENKER in 2013, we were a startup, and we went from $0 to about $25 million in revenue, primarily utilizing digital marketing techniques. We're now probably one of the largest concrete service providers in the Midwest. We generate about 6,000 leads and build about 1,500 projects yearly, and nearly all leads come from our digital marketing and website efforts.

We're a high-value provider, so our marketing needs to help us win customers over and convince them to spend more money than our competitors charge. LENKER did a good job supporting that.

How did LENKER perform from a project management standpoint?

LENKER always delivered work within the budget. If there was a time overrun, it was probably self-inflicted because we realized how much benefit there was in LENKER's work. Consequently, the price went up because we spent more time. We communicated using the Oracle NetSuite platform.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

John was an outstanding, creative guy. We felt good about spending our money with LENKER because the results were there every time, so we had no apprehension. We’ll work with the team again on another project next year.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were pretty happy with LENKER. The team's service and performance were good, and we received what we requested.

Are there any areas they could improve?

LENKER was a fairly small team, and growing pains were difficult. However, finding the team's level of talent was also challenging. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Start your project with John because he's extremely creative. He's the best at getting a feel for the client's project needs and articulating that to his project managers. We demanded John's presence at the beginning of the project.

Our project is ongoing.  Hoping over time Lenker will review the marketing expenses and results over the last couple years.  After review of the data it will help improve get more converions with clients and have a good ROI on the money spent working with Lenker.

Our company is unique in our industry; Therefore it took some time to research and develop a marketing plan that would work for us.  We are still learning how to market to reach our clients and our hope is to acheive better conversions with alll the data that has been gathered over the years.

Providing a webflow format vs.  wordpress for website development. LENKER was able to streamline other online services that helped benefit our goals.

At times a quicker response to any issues that come up.  More details with marketing results on what did or did not work.  Not given any ads or marketing campaigns to look over marketing ads to give our insight to avoid wasting money on ads that may not work.
