I hired them after doing some research on other markets with personal injury lawyers. I saw that LawRank did a good job ranking other law firms in competitive markets like ours.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure success by our rankings and by the quality of leads we’re receiving. LawRank does a fantastic job with SEO, and we’re seeing some good progress with the PPC ads. The results started off okay, but the PPC ads have gradually become more optimized. Everything is satisfactory so far. 

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

LawRank is very transparent about the schedule, which they’ve stuck to. There aren’t hard deadlines, but LawRank has met all the expectations they’ve set about when tasks would be completed.

If I need to get a hold of LawRank, they’re very available. LawRank looks for feedback; if there’s an issue with something, they want to know so they can remedy it. We communicate through emails and phone calls.

The owners of LawRank are relentless; they work all the time. They’re there for their clients, and they listen; this speaks volumes about the product they provide.

• We keep track of the Key Word indexing, also the Call Volume. Since working with LawRank, both metrics have improved drastically.

After discussing my needs with the Founder, Maria, she was able to answer all my questions that other SEO companies avoided or refused to respond to. I then had a full diagnostic of my site and marketing completed. Based on the results, LawRank had a detailed action plan to implement, along with a timeline to complete. 

From the first day to our work now, I'm always taken care of by my customer service representative, and my technical support, and Maria frequently checks in with me to see how the results are coming along and check my concerns or questions. They are a great company to work with, and I think they exemplify the concept of follow-through.

When I started searching for a new SEO company, I had a list of questions I needed to address. Many of the vendors couldn't or wouldn't answer them. LawRank addressed every single issue I had.

The onboarding process has been smooth, and updates and questions are addressed quickly. At this time, I don't think I have any areas of improvement.

The primary selling point for LawRank is that lawyers write the content. Previous attempts at dealing with SEO or digital marketing companies was that I spent way too much time proof reading content, because it wasn't written by an attorney, and therefore the investment wasn't worth the cost. LawRank takes all of those issues off the table. I trust their team, their content, and their direction for my firm.

I’m the managing partner of a personal injury law firm specializing in wrongful death and catastrophic injuries in Augusta, Georgia.

What challenge were you trying to address with LawRank?

We had worked with a marketing company for about 10 years that could not break us into the first-page rankings for our local market despite 35 years of experience, advertising, and a television show connected to our website. We couldn’t figure out why we couldn’t get on Google’s organic ranking pages and wanted someone to remedy that after struggling for several years.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

LawRank provides us with SEO services. First, they implemented a system to ask for our expectations and timing goals. Once we laid that out for them, they gave us a picture of what would be required by way of investment, time, and fee. They also helped us reframe our expectations based on what was possible in reality and gave us a 3–6 month timeframe for what we asked them to do. 

From there, LawRank redesigned and rebuilt our site from scratch. The goal was to have a site that Google would pay attention to. They gave us some templates to provide oversight over what we liked, the images we wanted to use, and the site's overall style. The team made suggestions about the design and presented us with options. Additionally, they got the data from the server hosting our previous site so that we didn't have any losses when we switched over. 

The site gathers information about what's necessary after someone suffers a wrongful death, is injured in a nursing home, or has a car accident. Users can access public information about the law and the rights and obligations of the parties involved in these cases. We make ourselves available for users to call us for help.

The team handles SEO with the goal of increasing our footprint in organic Google searches. We've asked them to focus on wrongful death, 18-wheeler or trucking accidents, and nursing home negligence. LawRank has developed a strategy to get better results in those areas, intending to get us in the top three spots. Their strategy includes blog posts.

During the sales process and discovery phase, we worked closely with one of LawRank's co-founders. Since then, we've worked with an account manager and an SEO manager. 

How did you come to work with LawRank?

One of my law partners interacted with one of LawRank's co-founders and had a good rapport. Then, I looked at what attorneys and law firms were producing the best results in every major city n the US and then went to see who was making their websites and managing their SEO. From that search, I stumbled upon 5–6 different companies that were consistently ranking in the top 10, including LawRank. We did an interview process, and LawRank won out.

We've spent around $112,000.

We started working with them in September 2001, and our engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Within three months of having the site up and running, LawRank got us on the first page of organic search results in every major category we asked for and in the first three spots. They've outperformed what our previous provider couldn't accomplish in 10 years. Today, we often tank at number one in these categories and almost always in the top three spots. LawRank has also achieved the same results for our five local offices when users search our keywords with different city names. There are only 1–2 areas where we're below the top three. 

How did LawRank perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet deadlines and stay on our budget. Most importantly, whenever we've run into a hiccup, they through with it. Although it's good when everything is going well and there's no disagreement, we appreciate that when something needs fixing, they adjust to keep us happy. 

We use a project management tool to share materials they need, such as images, log-ins, and passwords for sites we're registered for. As for communication, we set up meetings through email and Calendly, and we meet via Zoom. I appreciate that they work across the country without communication issues. They promptly respond to my questions and concerns, even though they're not local to us. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

First and foremost, LawRank's expertise in SEO for law firms distinguishes them from the competition. The founders were war attorneys at some point, so they know and understand the industry, how competitive it is, and what it takes to move up in the organic search rankings. They also have a staff licensed to practice law to write some of the blogs. As a result, I no longer have to write blogs once a week or month because they have the expertise to achieve those goals without my oversight. 

Additionally, they have a limited client base on purpose, so they can focus hard on their existing clients and keep them happy. They value their expertise and charge for what it takes to achieve the goals we want. Meanwhile, we can be sure they're focused on our needs due to their limited client approach. 

I appreciate that they've been very helpful and adjusted to keep our good relationship and help us out. For example, we have a unique situation where one of our competitors has the same last name as us, and they tried to hire LawRank, too. The team has a tier system, and the next tier up would have kept him from being able to use them as well, but we couldn't afford the investment at the time. LawRank modified their agreement to put this limitation within our budget, so our competitor isn't able to use them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Even though I'm pretty good at picking flaws, I've been extremely happy with LawRank.

You shouldn't be focused on how you want your website to look. Instead, listen to LawRank about the site's structure to produce the desired result. Even if a site is flashy, people will never find it if it isn't designed in a way that Google values. They're an SEO team that understands the industry; let them be experts in their area while you focus on practicing law.

My team and I launched an investigative search for SEO marketing firms that could achieve our goals. We found approximately 10 possible companies that would provide us the quality results we were seeking. After interviewing each prospective company we narrowed our list to three candidates.

All emails are responded to within 24 hours and calls have been scheduled with ease whenever I have a question about the project. Everyone on the team deeply cares about the success of the project. Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 2 months from the contract date, our new website was launched. We have seen our rankings climb every day. The website traffic, number of calls and leads generated have increased dramatically. Within weeks of the launch date, our SEO rankings shot to the top 10.

We currently have 19 terms ranked in the top 10, including our speciality--automobile accidents ranked number 1. We are regularly seeing 500+ organic searches each month, averaging 45 monthly calls from the website, 70 monthly calls from GMB, and had our best month of conversion this past December. It has been a pleasure working with LawRank and accomplishing these milestones together.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Exceptional. LawRank was extremely patient with our in the beginning of the project, explaining the objectives to less tech-savvy members of the firm. As mentioned above, any time there is a question, LawRank responds immediately to any and all inquiries.

When the project began, we were in constant communication--hopping on calls, email inquiries and discussing website edits. Every 6-8 weeks LawRank, my team, and I discuss the project, where the project is currently, and what the next goals should be. I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The website design, branding, rankings, improvement, personalize attention, experience, organization and overall competence have been very impressive. As stated above, they always respond within 24 hours to all emails and questions.

They are extremely willing to jump on calls to discuss the project and are always very prepared. They are also extremely motivated to beat our and their competition. The make the success the project their number one priority.

What was the scope of their involvement?

LawRank has been working with us on SEO in worker’s compensation and personal injury, in English and Spanish, and in Atlanta and Savannah, our two office locations in Georgia. We just started a paid search campaign.

They also helped us create a new WordPress website. They did everything, from the design to getting a really good picture for the main page. They went as far as flying a photographer in to get my image, which just shows the detail of their work. They’ve helped significantly with a lot of quality, consistent content on the website in both English and Spanish.

I’ve been very happy with the number of cases that are converting. The ROI has been excellent as well.

They’ve been excellent since day one in terms of communication, consistency, and responsiveness. I’ve worked with some very reputable SEO firms in the past that started strong and then fizzled, but LawRank has been amazing from day one until today, and we’re continuing to use them.

They’ve been on it. I’m a very detail-oriented person, so I appreciate someone who has a plan and can explain the context of what they’re doing. There has been follow-up and communication through the process. I’d give them an A+ when it comes to those things.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their organization, follow-through, and consistency set them apart. There’s excellence in every facet, from our account rep to the owner constantly responding to me and answering questions. The whole point is to help more people working through a difficult time in their life, so LawRank is helping us to help more people, which is the ultimate goal.

As I said, I’ve worked with multiple companies that start strong, and then you start noticing the difference at month four. To me, LawRank is improving in month nine, so the consistency is there. I’m looking forward to a long relationship with them.

They’ve been doing such a great job, so it’s hard for me to think of one thing. Of course, you always want more conversions and ROI, but we’re still in that initial phase, especially through COVID. COVID was a big deal when it came to the expectations of signing cases. I’m grateful we’ve had them before and through the process, because I think on the backend of it, we’re going to be in a much better place than other firms that may be reducing their marketing.
