We asked Lantern to redesign our website which included content and the way it was laid out.   They took the backbone of our existing website and gave us a new more modern design.   At each step of the way, Lantern listened to what we wanted and did not redirect us.   They took our direction on the design and created a website we love.

The speed in execution is the most important measurable outcome.   We started from ground zero with a few images and case studies.   The framework was assembled quickly.   We did not have to go back and forth on small details or recommunicate direction.

The Lantern team combines the knowledge of building websites with a clear design perspective. In order to build a great website, you need to be able to have the design knowledge to translate ideas.   That is what Lantern provides.

I am the Managing Partner for China's leading experiential learning and educational travel provider. We create travel experiences throughout China for students from international schools around the world.

We wanted a new website which focused on the educational branch of our business. Our aim was for the new website to represent the company we had become, and also communicated a clear vision of where we were heading.

Through our China-based network, we reached out to five different agencies. We selected Lantern based on their professionalism, experience, and references.

We had a designer who created assets and a website layout using Adobe XD. From there, we had an initial meeting with Lantern to determine project scope, as well as to settle on some technical/design compromises.

From there, we delivered all of our assets to them, and they stuck to their Schedule of Delivery. They also conducted a short training and handover, so that we can now manage the website.

We worked very closely with Felicia, who was our project and account manager. In addition to Felicia, we had two meetings with Andrew, who is the company owner.

We are independent fashion brand focusing on creative fashion. our main markets are Japan and China. I am one of the 2 founders and creative director of the brand.

We hired lantern to develop a new website as well as online shop for the brand. We wanted to have a highly creative and fun website that in a simple and user friendly way reflected the brands core values. It was also important for us that the brand remained visible and that the site was working seamlessly both in China and abroad.

Initially we talked with a few different companies but we really appreciated the friendly yet proffecional approach of Lantern. They where always very clear with us about costs, timelines etc that was very important for us and we immediately felt we could thrust them to be our long time partners.

We had initial meeting about our bigger goal and ideas for the website and brand. Lantern outlined for us the basic requirement to run a smoth website in China and abroad. After that we made an initial design for how we wanted the website to look .

That was followed by several meetings and tryouts to translate our design to a functional and user friendly website. through the process we made several adjustments to the initial design.

The online shop we developed at a later stage but it followed a similar pattern. Since then Lantern have been handling the website maintainance, SEO and several website updates and adjustments.

I think it was mainly two people mainly account manager and designer

We don't have any metrics to compare with since it was our first website for the brand. However we have got a lot of compliments from both partners and customers for the website and shop. People really appreciate the innovative and fun designs wile still being very user friendly.

We mainly been communicating by email but they have always been very clear with attaching time frames and budgets for all the projects and updates that we been working on. They also often sent us step by step guidlines for problem that we had with Shopify etc.

The team has been very receptive to our ideas and needs. They have always in a professional and transparent way explained every step for us.. We see them as a very reliable longtime partner and friend to our brand.

What were your goals for this project?

Original project in 2006 was to make a new brand VI and make a really outstanding website, to get some new client inquiries.

I knew Lantern's founder before had very good designer and programmer skill and very talented people. So when I want to build my company's website I decided to hire them. And I think their team looked very professional and had good taste.

First we did a new logo and VI, we had some meetings first to talk about our ideas then I received some options. Next we did the website, follow and develop the style based on the VI concept. Then they did programming and made a very attractive animated effect.

What was the team composition?

I worked with the Founder, Creative Director, and Art Director. They all joined for each meeting in person. I could also contact them directly any time.

Because of the new website, I got huge amount of inquiries. And a lot of international famous company started to contact me.

They delivered all the work on time with good quality. Easy to talk to. Total schedule was on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I think they are very creative, and they can combine design and programming together and also understand the marketing and business part. And can accept some creative idea. And very responsible and organized.

After the first website which made in Flash, later I ask them to make new websites based on my own idea which is super simple. But compared to the first one, the newest one is not very exciting. I hope I can work with them on a new site.
