We're a company from the US that creates motion-based, interactive games. We believe that physical activity is important, and their games can be played on a variety of devices with cameras. The games use motion sensors to track the player’s movements. We also offer a development kit so that other companies can create games for their platform.

It was challenging for us to capture unique user motions with limited training data for the pose estimation model development. Labeled datasets lacked variety, while vast public data (unlabeled) was hard to integrate effectively, hindering accurate motion-to- gameplay translation.

Our retail client asked us to build an analytical marketing solution for their chain of offline stores. To do this, we needed to train the in-store cameras to detect interaction with products and categorize them into categories like looking at, touching, comparing, returning, etc. Since the client had lots of recorded footage and we couldn't label all of it by ourselves, we contacted Label Your Data to help out with this project.

The cooperation was very successful because they achieved our goal of 100k hours per one store. Now, we can transform their work into the ML dataset to be used for product engagement metrics.

The fact that they could work inside our client's custom annotation tool. We expected they'd work inside their own tool and just export the results for us to convert it into a tool-ready format. But when they heard about this pitfall, they suggested to work straight in our tool!

During the pilot, there were some mild inconsistencies with customer interaction labeling. But that's what the pilot is for. In the first week, we got every object definition down to specific terms that the data quality has never fallen off since then.

We've initially tried building an in-house team for data labeling our upcoming NLP model, but we quickly noticed it wouldn't be a scalable solution. The turnover for annotators was high and it was too costly to expand. That's when we realized it's cheaper to hire an existing team because they work with similar projects and have the long-term labeling expertise.

One of our key goal was to reach 2 million annotated rows of data per month. So we've sent our sample data to well-known vendors and checked the results. Label Your Data was by far the most impressive. They were the first to process the sample during our pilot and they managed to get it 100% correct because we've gone through a quick brief call with all clarifications.

After starting working together, they overachieved our goal, hitting 300,000 more rows of data than we expected. We're grateful for this cooperation beyond the fund transactions and are now looking forward to recommending Label Your Data to our network as well.

It is an ongoing project, and we're not sharing intermediate results. Current results are promising, and collaboration with Label Your Data is essential to the project's success.

We've established a very efficient way of communication and data exchange. Whenever a dataset on our end needs labeling, we upload it to Label Your Data servers and notify the team via email about the new task. Our Account Manager responds quickly, and the team starts working on the annotation. The turnaround time is quick, and the annotations are correct. Whenever there's a comment or a question from our end, it gets resolved in no time.

We did not have to chase them for the results, they met the deadlines and were able to deliver the desirable outcome.

Hiring them to perform data labeling and annotation was the right decision in terms of time and budget. After the work was done, we ran a few tests to make sure that the data was labeled correctly. To be honest, it was even better than we expected. This was a time saver for our developers, so it was definitely a successful cooperation.

We had a couple of scheduled meetings, left comments in their tool, but mostly we communicated via email. We were getting updates regularly which let us to be in the loop. So we were happy that we didn't have to manage the process and could focus on our main tasks.

No but broadly speaking, the data annotations provided significantly improved the performance of our algorithms.
