What challenge were you trying to address with KUBAS Labs?

We needed web development services because we didn’t have an in-house development team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

KUBAS Labs developed our website using a landing page web design. First, we gave them the terms of reference for what we needed. We then collaborated on a prototype with them, and then we worked on the UI design and color. Once we approved it, they proceeded to develop and launch it. The team used custom code and Tilda, JavaScript, and PHP to create the site.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a web developer and a project manager, who handles the web design and general project management.

How did you come to work with KUBAS Labs?

They developed my friend’s website.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost was between €25,000–€27,000 (approximately $30,000–$32,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from March–August 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our goal with the website was to convert visitors to sales, and we are pretty satisfied with what KUBAS Labs did. They really followed the guidelines we gave them, and we were happy with their work. Generally, the primary KPI was to meet the deadline, which they did.

How did KUBAS Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

I didn’t have any concerns about working with them. We usually met up every week to discuss their milestones for the week. The team would then show us their work by the end of the week, and we would move on to the next. In terms of communication, we used Messenger and Asana.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed that they met the deadline we set. Most companies in the digital space don’t meet deadlines, but we were satisfied with KUBAS Labs’ work. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They have a vast space to increase their potential in web design. It is a very challenging industry, and skills always need to be improved.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do your homework and prepare the terms of reference so that the web developer can understand what your dream is. You have to write them out, give the tasks for each element, and explain everything you want to see in the end. This will help to avoid extra fees.

I'm the owner of a booking platform for vacation camps. We provide users with a wide range of camps that are bookable on our website.

For what projects/services did your company hire KUBAS Labs, and what were your goals?

Our website was created a few years ago and didn’t have a reliable backend in place. Also, it needed a face lift and improved usability.

Since we didn’t have in-house developers to invest in a new website, we hired this team to design and develop a WordPress website based on the existing website.

By doing this, we were hoping to have a

1. reliable and distinctive backend integrating an external software and
2. a much faster and more user-friendly website which leads to a higher conversion rate.

How did you select KUBAS Labs and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for web developers in our area and shortlisted a few. After interviewing them, we chose KUBASlabs based on their detailed analysis of our briefing, which proved that they understood our needs, and based on their cost and time estimate.

We had a kick-off meeting in person with their CTO, discussed our goals and objectives, and defined a list of requirements.

From there, the designer delivered mock-ups, wireframes and design for both mobile and desktop while the developers performed a deep architecture analysis.

After a few feedback loops, their team developed a WordPress website integrating an external software. They copied the content of the old website while improving functionality, design/layout and page speed.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The CTO was our main point of contact throughout the process. There were also a full stack developer and a designer working on the project with whom we had direct communication as well.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our website, the page speed improved significantly. Users love the new filters and now navigate through the website a lot more easily which leads to an increased conversion rate.

Furthermore, the administration of our database is significantly more reliable and less error-prone. The integration of the external software works reliably and fast.

We used Zoho projects as our project management and main communication tool. Tasks were clearly structured and progress transparently laid out.

Communication was on demand and always fast. If there were any changes, they let us know and explained in detail.

Furthermore, we communicated via email when suitable. The designer used Figma to show the prototype and design.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They improved the existing website professionally and paid attention to details. The team was always reachable and patiently explained and commented on any questions.

They did not simply fulfill the requirements but shared their professional opinion, made thought-out suggestions and were honestly interested in delivering the best possible product. They were fully committed to their highest standard.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At one point, they could have let us check the status quo a little earlier so testing could have been finished faster. Nevertheless, the project was delivered timely.

I am an owner and CEO at professional SEO company TrustCorp. We deliver digital marketing services to mid-size and enterprise clients around the world.

KUBAS Labs was recommended to us by a partner, it was enough for us to trust this company and initiate the contract after they briefed us.

They built a website. Using Tilda, their team created tools for customers and in-house administrators, which allows them to easily order company services. KUBAS Labs built data-tracking technology for us to capture visitor behavior. They continue to work on website enhancements.

We primarily communicate with a project manager, but there were a few team members who work on the technology, development and QA automation.

Our client likes new website, and sales team is satisfied with sales and data-tracking tool they got.

- Brief (1 day) - Terms of reference (3 days) - Contract (1 day) Already in 1 week they started the development. We use Zoho projects task management to manage all of the tasks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They demonstrate a high level of professionalism and take pride in their work. They have a very high-skilled ecommerce development divison with experience in Magento, Wordpress and Shopify.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There’s always room for improvement. Continued investment in skill sets and multi-language communication would be what I expect from them.
