The team at Kozak has provided us with very smart engineers with a great attitude who have been with us for several years. We treat them as team members and they act as them. They are very communicative and regularly get tasks done on time and with good documentation around their work. We feel lucky to have collaborated with them. We have seen the team evolve into great engineers who learn our way of thinking and we're proud to call them a trusted partner.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Because the team has worked with us across over 4 years now they have had measurable impact on a number of products and different systems. But two such examples from the first months working with them are that we launched a custom helpdesk site with deep Zendesk API integrations as well as a mobile app within two months of adding them to our team with mostly them and myself (technical CEO) managing workload and tasks for them. 
One of the engineers there proved to be incredibly senior and has served as somewhat of a PM for us when needed as well and regularly made sure that the work was always split up well and well documented. They also regularly adopted new technologies and tech stacks we were learning along the way.

Though we did not set tons of hard deadlines we always have been impressed at the timelines delivered and the quality of the work from the team

One thing I have always been wary of with agencies is that you get a person onboarded and trained and then they roll off your project just as you get used to working with them. In over 4 years of working with Kozak we still have one of the original engineers on the project and one of the other ones has been here over 3 years. 
the model of truly feeling and becoming part of your team is great and we are so glad to have them work with us, especially for the long haul like they have!

One of the most recent projects we worked on together and that's still ongoing is IT Staff augmentation of a Vue/Node developer that has been on our project for more than a year now. He was responsible for direct communication with the client and obviously, engineering itself.

Kozak Group was tasked to build various rapid prototypes of small, self-contained web apps like a staking rewards comparison chart, an onramp evaluation page, and a token swap aggregator. They also built our full-stack portfolio dashboard product from the ground up, which involved several key deliverables: 

• Evaluation of engineering partners and integration of their external APIs 
• Backend deployment of an AWS RDS PostgreSQL database to store relational data 
• Backend deployment of an AWS Elasticache Memcached instance to cache data from external APIs 
• Frontend implementation of our Figma design specs using React, Next.js, and TailwindCSS 
• Native wallet integration built into the app across four EVM-compatible blockchains 
• Separate pages for tracking overall portfolio balance, individual asset breakdowns, transaction history, native and ERC-20 tokens, non-fungible token collections, and individual non-fungible tokens.

Kozak Group was able to implement and deploy all webapps and the portfolio dashboard ahead of time and under budget.

We utilized Jira and Linear for task tracking and time management, and Kozak Group was able to deliver all items on or ahead of time. As a small startup, our needs change on a day-by-day basis and their engineer was able to respond flexibly to many last-minute changes in requirements.

Kozak Group was able to implement high-quality products very quickly at a fraction of the cost of hiring a dedicated in-person engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area.

As a blockchain company, Kozak Group could have spent more effort finding an engineer with significant previous experience in blockchain. Nevertheless, the engineer we are working with was a fast learner and quickly got up to speed, so we are satisfied with the results.
