I am the CEO of Uppercut Landscaping & Construction. We are a company based in Calgary that mostly does landscaping during the summertime and construction during the wintertime.

What challenge were you trying to address with Kingz Marketing?

I wanted to redesign my website, so I contacted Kingz Marketing to help me out.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided Kingz Marketing with the information I wanted to have on my website and how I wanted the design to like. They also helped me out with the domain. I didn’t second-guess and what they were doing, and everything went perfectly.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Brandon (CEO and Founder), and I don’t know how many other people worked on the project.

How did you come to work with Kingz Marketing?

I was referred to them by a friend of mine. After reaching out to them via email, I had a meeting via Zoom with Brandon. He is a young guy, and he listened to my needs. He has a background in landscaping as well, so he understood what I was trying to implement on my website. They were a perfect fit for me.

How much have you invested in them?

I spent a little less than $1,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in December 2020, and the site was completed in February 2021. Now, I am trying to build the brand out myself, but I will reach out to Brandon again in the future — he knows this.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I have received a lot of good feedback from my family and friends. They’ve all said that the website looks amazing. We’ve plugged in Google Analytics, but I am waiting a little longer to look at them to build up a better average.

They designed everything on the website, moving through all of my suggestions to make it happen. I am really happy with the website, as well as the whole process behind it.

How did Kingz Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Google Meet, which I prefer, and we also used Zoom a couple of times. They did great with their project management. I had a hard time scheduling some of the materials they needed for the website, and they were patient in managing the delay. Kingz Marketing never complained once.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve only worked with one other person before, but as soon as I met Kingz, we clicked. I don’t really know much about their competition as I didn’t need to do research after finding them. Their price stood out to me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think we could have done business in any other way. Brandon was on time, and I enjoyed that his schedule was really flexible. Having a family at home meant that I had to work on my stuff after 8 p.m., and Brandon put his own personal time aside to work on the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Reach out to Brandon to see if Kingz Marketing is a good fit for you. He was 100% a good fit for me. He is honest and excels at the services he offers. I would recommend them to anyone.

Kingz Marketing did branding and designed our logo and business cards. They helped with Gmail and our Facebook page, and they’re working on a webpage for the business. 

They’re also helping us start our business in the massage industry. They’re going to take care of all of the marketing.

A friend recommended them. They gave us the best option at a good price. They speak Spanish as well, which was another reason for us to choose them.

Our organization works in early learning childcare, and my position is with sales and marketing.

What challenge were you trying to address with Kingz Marketing?

We were trying to expand our business, so our goal was to be more visible to a lot of online customers, targeting anyone who was looking into similar childcare providers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first thing they did when we hired them was to build a new website for us from the ground up. That included developing a logo and some branding work as well in order to frame our content on the site. From there, they put us on Google maps and Google My Business and set up a Facebook page so that we could run some ads on those platforms.

They also helped us organize our business more efficiently using a computer system that they established so that we could track how many people are visiting our website, and which sites were bringing in the most visitors.

What is the team composition?

So far, I’ve worked directly with one member of their team, but I’m not sure how many individuals they have working behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Kingz Marketing?

They were originally recommended to me by a friend, so I trusted them to be able to get the work done.

How much have you invested with them?

We got a really good rate with them, so we spent a little under $1,000 for the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

The whole development and SEO setup ran through the month of January 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we started working with Kingz Marketing, our number of inquiries has skyrocketed. We average close to 10 inquiries a week, and we only have one spot left to fill. When we started off, we didn’t have a lot of experience in marketing, so we didn’t know how to aim for specific customers or anything. Their expertise has been invaluable in that regard.

How did Kingz Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well, in my opinion. Their communication skills are great, so we didn’t have any problems or misunderstandings. We communicated primarily over email, and for the most part, when I sent them anything, I could expect a response within an hour or two. Their team was very reachable over the phone as well when we needed to discuss anything in greater detail.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Kingz Marketing is really committed to the project. We weren’t just paying for the services they offer on paper, but the real dedication to our long-term success that they demonstrated throughout our work.

No, I’ve been very happy with all of the outcomes they’ve provided.

I needed a range of marketing services, including logo and business card design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

At the beginning of our engagement, I sent Kingz Marketing some of my ideas for my logo. The next day, the team had prepared three different options ready for me to choose. They also provided corresponding business cards

In terms of digital marketing, the team created a Facebook page for my business, as well as channels for online booking and payments. They also worked on Google and Facebook ad campaigns.

Kingz Marketing’s services have been really beneficial for my business. The number of online bookings I’ve received has increased, and my workload overall has decreased. Their system handles invoices, appointment reminders, payments, and several other beneficial services. The entire experience is more professional for the user, and more simple for me.

The communication between us was great. Brandon and I are both Spanish speakers, so we had an easy time understanding one another’s processes. He was usually able to respond to my questions in less than half an hour. Throughout the project, our correspondence took place mainly over phone and email.
