This document outlines the strategic plan for the development stages, beginning with a Proof of Concept (PoC), followed by a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and culminating in the launch of our first full-featured version.

Proof of Concept (PoC):
Objective:

To validate the feasibility of Baddel by developing a simplified version of the app that illustrates the core functionality of item swapping among a limited group of users. 

Mobile app Key Features:
            a. User Authorization: Allow users to sign-up/sign-in using email authentication.

Testers allowed access and are able to use the App - bugs and mistakes in business logic and development are less with time bust still there

KeyToTech Team were present and delivered a bit later than time envisaged, but many tweaks were requested, and some of the features like API Integration with shipping companies, took more time than originally anticipated

The flexibility and enhancing the deliverables with deep dives in business logic and value porposition. They did not throw technical jargons around, and always tried to deliver the messsages in an easily digestable non technical formats

Include more people in the Dev team - especially senior ones
work on educating the client on the platforms used, the repositories, source code, PM Software..

Over the past year and a half, we have managed to attract 800+ thousand users, reach the top 10 in the category of business in the markets, and improve many internal processes.

We are already communicating with their project manager like old friends, without exaggeration. We need approval at higher levels - we use correspondence, we need to resolve an urgent issue - a phone call and we are always in touch. We hold daily standups to stay on the same wave.

They always have their own opinion on the implementation and development options in making the right decision. They are also worried about the project and we are all happy with our results.

What challenge were you trying to address with KeyToTech?

They’ve been great in terms of the development of the iOS side of the app. They’ve done all the development work so far for the past 3-4 months.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They looked at all the requirements, did a thorough review, and came back with next steps including how to access it, what measures were in place, and so on. From there, we put a proposal together and agreed on milestones and deadlines. The work is completed (I tested and checked it) and they released it to me through TestFlight.

What is the team composition?

I’m working with three developers. I’ve been meeting with one who’s the lead.

How did you come to work with KeyToTech?

I found them on UpWork. They had excellent reviews and a very good portfolio. They were responsive to queries as well.

We’ve spent £1,000 ($1,250 USD) so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in April 2020. The app is in the beta test phase right now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Aesthetically, the app is up to my expectations. There’s still more work to do on the app overall, but KeyToTech has been very transparent throughout the whole process. We’re on the same page. Everything thus far has been to scope, and when I ask them for things they come back with a plan to accomplish it. And if they can’t do something then they’ll tell me and then create a workaround. The workaround is sometimes better than my original idea.

How did KeyToTech perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s very strong. We communicate every day. They’re professional and deadline-driven, which includes telling me along the way if things need to be extended.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attention to detail and ability to go above and beyond the tasks set stand out. There were instances between milestones with a large amount of work and they never said no. They haven’t said no at all throughout this relatively complex project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In certain ways, they could have dug a bit deeper into some of the issues. We got to the destination in the end but sometimes a bit more due diligence would have been good. I’m satisfied with what they’ve done overall though.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very detailed and know exactly what you want from the start. That’s the most important ingredient going into a relationship with any developer. For those who have a steep learning curve, it’s important that documentation is reviewed thoroughly.

We initially needed a developer for our iOS app, which is part of a whole array of products that we’re using for our platform.

KeyToTech started by developing our iOS app. We have a process in which we integrate a developer into our company. We have all sorts of kickstart meetings that we talk about the process and how we do development in the company. Then we just started working. 

We were satisfied with the app development and decided to enlarge KeyToTech’s scope. We then hired an Android developer and a backend developer from them.

There’s currently one iOS developer, one Android developer, and one backend developer. We’re thinking about hiring more in the future.

I found KeyToTech on Upwork a year ago. The CEO contacted me and I saved his contact details because we liked how his company felt to us. We didn’t hire them then but we were still in touch via Skype. We eventually decided to hire one of their iOS developers.

We started working together in April 2019. and the work is ongoing.

Everything has gone well with KeyToTech; in fact, we’re thinking about hiring more personnel from them.  

We had a lot of features that we entered into our iOS and Android app and that KeyToTech implemented successfully. They partially did some pieces of work and fully completed others. 

We’re satisfied with their performance. They’re pretty clear, and we can see their dedication. They try to get to the bottom of each task to understand exactly what we want from them and how to perform it in the best way possible.

Our team handles project management. I speak with KeyToTech’s developers on a daily basis. We talk about the tasks and how we should move forward with the tasks. I speak with the CEO depending on the need. It could go a month without me talking with him, but it could also be a period of time I speak with him weekly.

KeyToTech’s resources are dedicated—they care about the project and put their heart into it. They work very hard and are professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When I’m looking to hire more of KeyToTech’s staff, I often have to ask about the status of available developers in the company. If they could be more transparent about those processes, it’d be easier for me to make those decisions.

Be sure the communication between you and the hired developers is smooth and that everyone is understanding each other. Aside from that, go for it—we’re having a great experience with KeyToTech.

I'm a co-founder of the Korean learning platform. We are a team of translators and language specialist helping to make the process of learning a new language easier.

Korean Phrasebook is an easy to use mobile application for anyone who is interested in studying Korean language. An application includes a list of essential words and phrases, dictionary and dialogs. You can save favorite phrases, add notes and search by words inside the app.

We were assigned with Project Manager, Designer, Native Android, and IOS developers and QA engineer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Both apps work great. The number of our users is rapidly growing and we've received pretty good reviews. Right now we are in the process of creating new content for the phrasebook and figuring out what functionality we need next. I hope we would be able to continue further development work with KeyToTech team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project went smoothly from start to finish. They kept us updated throughout the process. We used Skype and email to communicate. They're very prompt and have never missed a deadline.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Working with them was a pleasure. High-quality developers and great communication! As an early stage startup, we had a lot of pitfalls but KeyToTech team helped us all the way through, making very useful suggestions on how to improve our applications.
