We hired Key Jordan to provide us with Outsourced - Secondment Administration and Interpreters to facilitate and conduct the refugees interview with the cooperation of different parties as government, INGO's and embassies

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

We considered multiple companies to provide the outsourcing service in Jordan - Amman as we had a very tight time. Key Jordan was the first responder and provided us with 60 outsourced professionals in 2 days with a competitive fee, Therefore, it ended up by hiring them.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

Key Jordan was responsible to hire outsourced English <> Arabic Interpreters and Administration team to manage the interpreters in our locations. They used to help in issuing the permits for the interpreters, manage the transportation, attendance, payroll, contracts, and the performance for the outsourced staff. We started with 13 outsourced staff and within 3 days we increased the number to reach 60 with different Interpretation specialists such as Medical Background, Military Background, and Humanitarian Background. They were so cooperative in terms of responding, follow up, management and replacement.

We worked with Key Jordan in 3 different projects and periods until present , In the first Project our main point of contact was the project manager, with a team of 3 onsite Administration supervisors and 57 Interpreters. Second project our main point of contact was the project manager with a team of 30 interpreters Third project our main point of contact was the project manager with a team of 10 childcare specialists

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Key Jordan handled our outsourced team project operations in a very professional matter which made us focus on the big picture of the project. Their team was working 6 days a week 8 hours a day for 4 months nonstop in the first project. We got a thanking letters from our partners in the project for achieving the target of interviewing more than 50K refuges in a very short time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were quick to jump in any assignment assistance needed due to time sensitivity. We used to have a brief daily meeting with the team. Key Jordan were so accurate in terms of attendance, HR management and invoicing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

If there were an unplanned situation such as an absence of a staff memeber they used to replace the staff in less than 2 hours and manage to get them onbored with no issues and that was our target when we hired their services. The main challanging point was the tight time for the project as of the different parties engagment so no delays were accepeted and they approched the challenges proactively.

I’m a manager at an international software company. Our headquarters is in Boston and we have a small office for the Middle East in Jordan.

What challenge were you trying to address with Key Jordan?

We needed to outsource our staffing needs for a couple of positions. We didn't have a business affairs manager, or what we call here in Jordan an office manager, and also needed to fill an HR supervisor position. At the time, we had lost a previous manager and needed to keep work moving.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Key Jordan provides us with full-time staffing for the two positions. The business affairs manager works on finances and HR needs including payroll and benefits. They also support maintenance, logistics, and procurement. The HR supervisor fulfills all of our HR needs. They also help train staff so that we know how to manage that position, which is a very high one within the company.

We initially contracted them for one month and have extended that contract. We anticipate closing it by next year since we need to hire permanent employees. They will help us to recruit those permanent staff.

How did you come to work with Key Jordan?

My manager in the US searched for an outsourcing company and found Key Jordan. They’re one of the leading outsourcing firms in Jordan.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend $10,000 to $15,000 per month so have spent between $200,000–300,000 total.

What is the status of this engagement?

They started working with us in March 2017 and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve helped us a lot. For example, when a previous manager left, they committed a range of misdeeds like deleting employee files. The staff from Key Jordan came onboard at a critical time at which we needed to pay salaries but didn’t have the necessary information about their bank accounts or taxation. We couldn’t make the payments to either staff or the government tax authorities. They used their skills and connections to make the payments on time. It was a real success story.

How did Key Jordan perform from a project management standpoint?

They gave us a specialized account manager with a high-level position because we’re such a large client. They hit deadlines whenever we request something. If something will take more time, they inform us in advance. They communicate well and have in fact improved the communication within our company.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication, their follow-up, and their ability to achieve objectives.

Are there any areas they could improve?

From my perspective, no. They need to have more employees available under their umbrella because they do a great job.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about the project timeline and contract length. We weren’t clear about how much we would need them so only contracted them for one month and had to extend, which caused administrative complications on our end. It’s better to have a clear vision of what you need.
