What challenge were you trying to address with Kerigan Marketing Associates Inc?

We’re a new restaurant trying to get the word out and we’re very keen on having a lot of updates to our menu. Our restaurant has a core menu, but we roll out drinks and daily specials. We hired Kerigan Marketing Associates Inc to help us market the restaurant via social media.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Kerigan Marketing Associates Inc set up our Facebook infrastructure, and they’re helping us craft content for it, including visual elements. They hand the content over to our general manager, who posts the content on a day-to-day basis.

They’re a well-known firm in our neighborhood with fantastic references from people we knew.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested under $10,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Kerigan Marketing Associates Inc in April 2020 and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They were great in terms of setting up our Facebook infrastructure. Thanks to Kerigan Marketing Associates, we have better Facebook numbers than any of the surrounding restaurants. Although we’re now the largest restaurant in our core market, those numbers are a big metric for me.

How did Kerigan Marketing Associates Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Kerigan Marketing Associates Inc’s project management couldn’t be better. Their team is extremely responsive; I reach out to them and I’m either taking the call or they’re calling me. Jack, in particular, was great at communicating with me. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their responsiveness and creativity. They really know their customers; you can throw an idea out to them, and they’ll give you some great marketing options. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t. We don’t have any problems. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take them up on their responsiveness and creativity. Trust their creative abilities.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Executive Director of Girls Inc of Bay County. Our organization provides after school and out of school time programs for girls ages 6-18yrs.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc.?

Two of our largest fundraising events were in need of rebranding/refreshing to give a new and exciting look to the marketing and messaging.

What were your goals for this project?

New logos and marketing graphics for both events along with 6 mini-videos to help us move on of the events to a virtual platform during the pandemic.

How did you select Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc.?

Kerigan had previously helped us with the launch of our new website and had assisted with the rebranding of a smaller event last year. We really enjoyed working with their team and loved some of the creative work we had seen them do for other companies in our area so it seemed like the perfect match for what we needed right now.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We met with the Kerigan team initially to go over what we thought we needed and what our plans were for both events. We provided them samples of previous marketing materials from both events along with other mission focused branded materials so they could get a feel for what we were trying to create. We met again several weeks later to review some of their initial creative ideas and do some more brainstorming, and then completed the rest of the project fairly easily through email communication.

What was the team composition?

We worked primarily with the creative director and digital marketing specialist with close oversight from the president.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The logos and all of the rebranded materials are beautiful! They are exactly what we are looking for in terms of giving the events a new look that truly catches the eye in a positive way.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. They are a tremendous team to work with.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Everything! Their creativity is fabulous. Communication is timely and on point. Very professional and take the time to listen and really learn about what the customer wants to achieve.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothing that we can think of.

We’re Enterprise State Community College, located in southern Alabama, and I’m the public relations and marketing director. We have two campuses, one which hosts our technical programs and the other for our traditional academic-based community college.

What challenge were you trying to address with Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc.?

When I came in four years ago, there were no branding standards, no website, and a lot of other issues that I had to clean up. Once I had the website and branding updated, we needed some help with community outreach to help get our new look in front of prospective students.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They handled pretty comprehensive digital marketing services, which included everything from SEO work to traditional marketing on billboards, newspaper ads, and radio commercials.

The general goal was to build brand awareness among not just our surrounding community, but the larger national community as well, so they engaged in a lot of digital marketing and link building efforts as well.

What was the team composition?

We work with their whole team on the project.

How did you come to work with Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc.?

I interviewed close to 20 different ad firms from all over and even some neighboring states. Their team was just the right size, had experience in working with higher education, and was able to commit to making us their primary focus, so we decided to move forward with them.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost has been around $400,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We brought them in around April 2017 and are continuing to work together today.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The easiest indicator of our success with them is that you can look at our Google Analytics and see that they’ve increased our web traffic by ten times since we started working with them. As far as SERPs go, we didn’t even have keywords selected, and now we’re ranking highly on a significant number of the 4,000 total keywords that drive traffic to our website.

What we are most excited about is the fact that the increase in traffic has resulted in a corresponding increase in enrollment for the college. I do attribute their help to our enrollment increase because we have been the only community college out of 24 in Alabama to have seen an increase in the past three years.

How did Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They have made it clear throughout our work with them that their team is there to listen, help, and adjust their creative strategy based on our feedback. One of the biggest reasons we wanted to work with them is that they provide a level of personal attention that many larger ad companies can’t, and they’re willing to defer to their client’s expertise about their own community.

We are provided with monthly reports and regular status updates about how all of our different digital efforts are progressing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The one-on-one interaction that we get with everybody on their team is an incredible asset to our work with them. I know them each individually and I know their strengths, so I know who to go to about all of the challenges that we have faced throughout our partnership.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There really isn’t anything I wish they did differently, I’ve been totally pleased with their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just be as open and honest as possible, because the more information they have about what you need, the better they will be able to support your goals as an organization.
