What challenge were you trying to address with K Moody & Associates, LLC?

Our website was relatively new, so I hired their team to handle all of our marketing needs.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They work on all the technical aspects of our website, including working the backend of our site for SEO. For the content, we provide them with it and it’s released on the website. They've worked on display ads, Facebook Ads, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, and all social media accounts for our PPC, SEO, and email marketing needs. 

We just started creating videos for our podcasts, and they’ve come up with a plan to market it and place it on our site and social media channels. They created our own Roku channel from scratch, too.

I hired a strategic marketing analyst and she brought several teams for us that we vetted, and we chose K Moody & Associates. 

How much have you invested with them?

Annually, we spend around $200,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2018 and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve grown our website so our funders are very pleased. Our total website sessions since beginning our work with their team have reached almost 8 million, which is great for a site like ours. 

Our page views and sessions have increased over 40% year-over-year (YoY), along with our users growing 55% YoY.  Our email campaigns have helped double the number of subscribers for our daily briefings within one year. 

Our YouTube has received almost 800,000 views and we have 14 million impressions on Vimeo, which is a lot for a small, relatively new website. Their social media work is great, too — our followers have increased from around 25,000 to over 41,000 across our channels. Our Twitter followers have grown around 10%. 

How did K Moody & Associates, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We go over our metrics every week during our strategic marketing meeting. I get a 17-page report and we discuss it thoroughly. We use Slack for our communication, speaking almost every day. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their level of responsiveness, creativity, and ingenuity make them stand out from others. They’re very easy and adaptable to work with. Their team is open and honest.

For example, our site had been hacked, and they were able to tamp it down and fix the problem, which was impressive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything I’m unhappy with at this time.

I am the owner of an online publishing company competing with such heavy hitters as Amazon and Barnes and Noble. My company sells ebooks and print editions in a variety of genres.

Trying to compete with the larger publishing companies is a serious challenge. I needed to find a way to get my company not only seen, but also make it a consumer-trusted business.

What were your goals for this project?

My first and most pressing goal was to find ways to promote my company. Cost-efficient ways since it is a small business with a very limited budget.

How did you select this vendor?

I first searched online and then compared my top choices. A phone call finalized my decision and chose K. Moody because of the knowledge, professionalism, ideas/plans, and price.

I explained what I wanted to do with my business and they worked with me, giving me numerous options while explaining how each plan would impact my company's goals. Aside from the usual online marketing tactics (SEO, Social media, ads, etc), they went deeper, optimizing everything while staying within my budget. We built plans and schedules, creating a realistic timeline of achievements.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

From the first week I was able to see a nice increase in viable traffic to my website. My target audience was being reached and started contacting me either as authors looking to get published or customers interested in my products.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I couldn't have asked for any better. We mostly communicated via email and telephone conversations because that was my chosen method. I never had to wait and wonder what was happening because communication was always there. If I didn't understand something, they never hesitated to explain it, and if I wanted to try a different approach, they were more than happy to accommodate.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The results, professionalism, knowledge and price.

None that I can think of.

I am a freelance writer and editor who wished to market my professional services.

Social media, search engine optimization, and blog development.

What were your goals for this project?

My main purpose was to expand my brand and reach out to potential clients. With my extensive portfolio, detailed services, and competitive prices, I wanted to reel in these customers.

How did you select this vendor?

One of my clients connected me with K. Moody and Associates. When I was told how effective and comprehensive the firm's work is, I tried it out for a while. It worked out better than I could have imagined. So, I have been using the company's services for about a year since and recommend anyone in need of digital marketing to get in touch with the team.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

So, when I first got in touch with the company, they wanted to know what I wanted and what my objectives were. I listed my aims, but they also provided me some feedback and helpful suggestions.

I had to weigh my options, and decided to take their advice. I was glad I did! We began with social media since I already have a presence on a couple of social networks. After leveraging that, we started doing some content marketing and blog post writing. Suffice it to say, both endeavors turned out to be successful.

I worked with Ken, but I also got in touch with several of his colleagues. They each gave me informative answers to questions I had, and ensured that what needed to get done got done.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Well, before the coronavirus pandemic, I had a huge influx of orders for content. Even during the economic downturn, I still have maintained a steady workflow from individuals across the United States and even around the world. Since one of my goals was to have a consistent workflow, I can say with confidence that K. Moody and Associates helped me accomplish that objective.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

What I liked the most was how communicative Ken and his team were. If I contacted the company at 9 a.m., I would hear back almost immediately. Or, if they were busy, they would update me on that and then get in touch right after. We also scheduled meetings, so they could work around my schedule, too. It was a great team effort with a lot of clear communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Again, for me it was all about communication. Since I am a novice in the digital marketing realm compared to the KMA team, they improved upon my suggestions and offered a fantastic solution to some of the more problematic aspects of my efforts.

I have worked with a couple of other firms, and it always seemed like they employed black-hit methods. I have been worried about this for a long time, but KMA never utilized unscrupulous methods. I felt confident in the hands of the company.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I cannot say there is.
