I am the co-founder and Chief Creative Office (and de facto CMO) of Boredwalk, a lifestyle brand selling art and design on functional consumer products.

Simplify our product feed so it updated in real time between our Shopify store and Google Merchant Center, and increase our spend on Google Shopping while maintaining a minimum ROAS of 2x.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We followed a referral and exchanged Slack messages and emails with Menachem before doing a full onboarding over Google Meet. We appreciated his transparency and his clear understanding of where we were and what our immediate and long term goals were for profitable growth.

• Get us off the manually updated/uploaded CSV feed and create a new feed integrating our Shopify store with Google Merchant Center that updates automatically as changes are made in Shopify
• Segment product catalog and build out more sophisticated account structure in Google Shopping and Dynamic Retargeting Ads
• Increase Google PPC spend profitably, meaning ROAS must be at 2x or higher
• Avoid artificially inflating Google numbers by not bidding on our own branded keywords

Menachem was our only point of contact. I'm not sure who else has worked on our account, though.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

PPC ad spend is up ≈ 400% while return on ad spend (ROAS) has remained above 2x over the approximately 60 days that JXT has managed our account. GMC feed is now synchronized to our store without the need to manually upload CSV files.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Weekly high level reports in PDF form showing rolling WoW and MoM performance. Primarily communicates over email, which we prefer.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their professionalism, expertise, and responsiveness are all top-notch; I never have to wait more than one business day to hear back if I have a question. Also appreciate the openness and flexibility with taking in information and not ignoring us when we bring up concerns. I can tell that Menachem and the JXT team are actually listening/reading thoughtfully when we communicate with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

So far we've been pleased with the partnership we've developed over the last two months and look forward to it continuing into the future.

I’m the COO of Evergreen Insurance. We market to real estate investors and I run the day-to-day operations of the company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their services have basically cut out cost-per-lead (CPL) in half. We’re getting more leads for less money. The overall optimization has been beneficial and has helped us figure out how things work. 

How did JXT Group perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve been really satisfied. They’re very patient. We receive weekly reports and once a month they deliver a complete comprehensive report. They’ve spent time with us not necessarily within the scope of the contract and have done a lot more than was called for.

They go above and beyond the contract and help us with everything related to our online presence. Their level of knowledge is nice, too.

I don’t have anything negative to say.

We were trying to generate leads to our website from people looking to sanitize their online search results. The scope included setting up landing pages, testing for conversion rates, and getting the right keywords. They set up the clickthrough and other functionalities.

We were very happy with the results. I have an online technology background and I’m amazed at the speed that they’re able to perform the tasks that we need. They provide all of these to the end-user without exorbitant prices. The speed and quality are amazing. They could build a page and a PPC campaign in hours.

They have enterprise-standard in-house tools.

They should be very clear about their requirements and scope of work. They should know about their long-term and short-term goals.

They’ve greatly reduced our marketing costs while enabling us to continually grow. They came on board when we were just starting out, but they helped us achieve annual growth of over 200%, year over year. They don’t just take your credit card and spend away; they work to understand your business needs to come up with a solution that you can really benefit from.   

How did JXT Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We collaborate on a few platforms, and they’re available at all times. They’re always only a text, email, or call away.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to understand your needs and implement a solution really distinguishes them. They’ve been exceptional at managing our Google Ads, which has been our biggest source of income.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since working with JXT Group, our qualified leads have increased by 40% and our client base has grown by 30%. Our PPC budget rose 20% as well, but its cost was more than justified by the performance.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

JXT Group is always responsive to our needs and available to discuss our campaign. Whether through face-to-face meetings or phone discussions, our communication is good. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We're impressed by their experience with running successful campaigns. They have a large arsenal of specific tactics to increase performance. As new technologies emerge and customer behaviors change, JXT Group is always ready to implement new ideas.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They should add more areas of expertise to their portfolio. We sometimes use other agencies for marketing, but having JXT coordinate those tasks or collaborate with them would be helpful.

In addition to driving traffic and potential leads, another one of our main goals was to decrease our overall cost per lead ratio.

JXT Group planned and implemented strategies to maximize our outreach efforts. The team consistently evaluates our progress and makes optimizations as necessary. Their staff handles everything internally, there was minimal effort on our end. They continue to support our campaigns.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After partnering with JXT Group, our website’s incoming traffic increased almost immediately and we received more incoming calls from new leads. Additionally, we were able to optimize our marketing spends to increase our return on investment (ROI).

JXT Group ran a very smooth and seamless project. They took care of all of the work and provided us with detailed reports on the campaign’s success.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team’s level of professionalism and industry knowledge was very refreshing. We’ve encountered many agencies who “promise” results but fail to deliver. JXT Group didn’t make unrealistic guarantees and definitely delivered the results we were hoping for.

We’re a manufacturer of hospitality items such as hotel room safes and minibars as well as other accessory items. My role in the company is sourcing and marketing the products.

What challenge were you trying to address with JXT Group?

We were trying to be a little innovative and get leads coming from the internet, so we wanted to advertise our web properties online. When someone does a search for hotel safes or minibars, they would come to us and request a quote. At that point, we would follow up, and this is where JXT Group came in and helped us. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

JXT Group does the pay-per-click (PPC) marketing and lead generation for us. We set up two websites for this purpose: one is called BuyHotelSafes.com, and the other is iMinibars.com. We would direct the PPC traffic to these pages, and they would manage our ongoing spend for these campaigns, primarily with PPC advertising and tweaking the campaigns, making sure the right keywords are displaying. If there's any adjustment they need to make on the site, they come in. If there are new features that Google or other PPC providers introduce, they take advantage of it and overall manage the cost per lead for us and get us a very good ROI on the dollars that are spent.

In terms of the keywords, we came up with an initial list to get started on the project, and then they took it from there. They managed and customized the iminibar landing page, adding photos and fixing up the questionnaire, which they also did on the buyhotelsafes page. There were definitely changes that they incorporated and suggested that we should make, which we did, and they’re kindly managing that also for us on those sites.

How did you come to work with JXT Group?

It was a referral from a friend of mine from a while back who had a good experience with them or someone they did business with. After working with several other agencies on different projects throughout the years, I found that JXT Group has the expertise, results, and execution in getting the project to fruition and that the ROI is ultimately there.

How much have you invested with JXT Group?

The cost was approximately $20,000. There's a lot of spend that goes into it. I don't know exactly when, but we'll also spend a lot more than that.

What is the status of this engagement?

On this project, we started working together around August of 2016. Our collaboration is ongoing.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

The main things that we look at internally—they look at different KPIs—is making sure that the cost per lead goes down. That's a very important thing. On JXT Group’s end, they're constantly working on getting the cost per click, cost per mention, and bounce rate down. They’re more focused on the detailed KPIs, but we are mainly focused on the cost per lead. Overall, after seeing the reports and speaking with them, we definitely see and feel that we're going in the right direction.

How did JXT Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They have very good communication, which is key. If we want to change something, understand what's going on, or simply communicate, they're very quick to respond. I can imagine that they have a good system in place to make sure that the project is running smoothly on an ongoing basis.

For the project management and moving forward, we have phone conversations once a month or every two months just so that we have a better idea of what's happening. We do a lot by email primarily throughout the day. We have met occasionally, but meeting is not something that’s necessary for the ongoing involvement in the project.

What did you find most impressive about JXT Group?

Results are very key. Working with a lot of different vendors throughout the years, we've found that a lot of them have good intentions and ideas about what to do, but the project essentially falls by the wayside. They work on other things or get too busy, so they're not giving us the proper attention. We feel like we're getting the attention, and, most importantly, the results are there. We have a results-driven relationship with JXT Group that we haven’t found with other providers.

Are there any areas JXT Group could improve?

Jeff Bezos said that he believes somebody will come and outperform his business and provide a better service; he just hopes it's not going to be in his lifetime. So, I believe there's always room for improvement in terms of the campaign and their internal processes. The reason why we're working with JXT Group is to make sure that the campaign gets improved continuously. Otherwise, we would just have the campaigns running on their own, but they definitely need a set of eyeballs to make sure that everything is running smoothly.
