BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a manufacturer of hospitality items such as hotel room safes and minibars as well as other accessory items. My role in the company is sourcing and marketing the products. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with JXT Group?

We were trying to be a little innovative and get leads coming from the internet, so we wanted to advertise our web properties online. When someone does a search for hotel safes or minibars, they would come to us and request a quote. At that point, we would follow up, and this is where JXT Group came in and helped us. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

JXT Group does the pay-per-click (PPC) marketing and lead generation for us. We set up two websites for this purpose: one is called BuyHotelSafes.com, and the other is iMinibars.com. We would direct the PPC traffic to these pages, and they would manage our ongoing spend for these campaigns, primarily with PPC advertising and tweaking the campaigns, making sure the right keywords are displaying. If there's any adjustment they need to make on the site, they come in. If there are new features that Google or other PPC providers introduce, they take advantage of it and overall manage the cost per lead for us and get us a very good ROI on the dollars that are spent.

In terms of the keywords, we came up with an initial list to get started on the project, and then they took it from there. They managed and customized the iminibar landing page, adding photos and fixing up the questionnaire, which they also did on the buyhotelsafes page. There were definitely changes that they incorporated and suggested that we should make, which we did, and they’re kindly managing that also for us on those sites.

How did you come to work with JXT Group?

It was a referral from a friend of mine from a while back who had a good experience with them or someone they did business with. After working with several other agencies on different projects throughout the years, I found that JXT Group has the expertise, results, and execution in getting the project to fruition and that the ROI is ultimately there.

How much have you invested with JXT Group?

The cost was approximately $20,000. There's a lot of spend that goes into it. I don't know exactly when, but we'll also spend a lot more than that.

What is the status of this engagement?

On this project, we started working together around August of 2016. Our collaboration is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

The main things that we look at internally—they look at different KPIs—is making sure that the cost per lead goes down. That's a very important thing. On JXT Group’s end, they're constantly working on getting the cost per click, cost per mention, and bounce rate down. They’re more focused on the detailed KPIs, but we are mainly focused on the cost per lead. Overall, after seeing the reports and speaking with them, we definitely see and feel that we're going in the right direction.

How did JXT Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They have very good communication, which is key. If we want to change something, understand what's going on, or simply communicate, they're very quick to respond. I can imagine that they have a good system in place to make sure that the project is running smoothly on an ongoing basis.

For the project management and moving forward, we have phone conversations once a month or every two months just so that we have a better idea of what's happening. We do a lot by email primarily throughout the day. We have met occasionally, but meeting is not something that’s necessary for the ongoing involvement in the project.

What did you find most impressive about JXT Group?

Results are very key. Working with a lot of different vendors throughout the years, we've found that a lot of them have good intentions and ideas about what to do, but the project essentially falls by the wayside. They work on other things or get too busy, so they're not giving us the proper attention. We feel like we're getting the attention, and, most importantly, the results are there. We have a results-driven relationship with JXT Group that we haven’t found with other providers.

Are there any areas JXT Group could improve?

Jeff Bezos said that he believes somebody will come and outperform his business and provide a better service; he just hopes it's not going to be in his lifetime. So, I believe there's always room for improvement in terms of the campaign and their internal processes. The reason why we're working with JXT Group is to make sure that the campaign gets improved continuously. Otherwise, we would just have the campaigns running on their own, but they definitely need a set of eyeballs to make sure that everything is running smoothly.
