The new website isn't just sleek and modern; every detail was carefully thought out to represent our firm's values and mission. What's been even more impressive is the content. The writers at Juris Digital really know how to connect with our audience.

Our company had invested a lot of effort into doing SEO in-house, and had great success. Eventually, we grew to be too busy to manage the SEO aspects of our firm, so we tried to find a trust professional to take over and take our SEO to the next level.

They claimed to specialize in providing a high level of detail and service tailored to the legal industry.

Met with sales team VP, discussed scope of work, and goals of increasing our call volume and ability to penetrate competitive, new urban markets.

Worked with sales VP, a developer who was later promoted to a management position (has since left the company) a developer who left the company during the project after causing a series of problems, a back-link developer who caused us to incur $2000 of scholarship expenses without a single backlink to show for it, and a graphic designer who put white link text on a white background and reduced the resolution of our photos to look extremely grainy.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Hired them in 2021. Organization seemed to be dealing with chaos and disorganized systems behind the scenes. Had a problem employee who made an awful mess of our website, then moved on, and it seemed as if they had a lot of new, poorly trained people and high turnover. Seemed to have no quality assurance checks and balances, and ignored us altogether when we complained about their performance.

Expensive, and touted themselves as specializing in providing services tailored to the legal community, but they skipped a ton of the most basic steps of SEO optimization, and had a series of rookie cosmetic errors like grainy photo optimization and white text on white background. Paid a few thousand for a scholarship program, with no backlinks as a result. One employee even tried to hide advertisements and backlinks for a third-party in our website copy. Caveat emptor.

Made no contact after complaints forwarded to their management team, completely ignored.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their team's complete lack of quality assurance and lack of attention to the most basic levels of SEO failed us.

Better employee training and oversight, reduce turnover.

We hired Juris Digital to help with our SEO marketing. We originally had a team in house that had done a good job, but the market was getting more competitive and we needed some extra support. We hired them to increase our organic and local rankings for important keywords related to personal injury cases in northern California.

We received a referral to Casey Meraz and Juris Digital. After our initial meeting we felt like it was the right fit.

We had a big website that had been in operation from multiple webmasters and SEO vendors for a number of years. Casey recommended we start off with an SEO audit. The audit contained a lot of actionable information on what we needed to work on to achieve our goals. From there we worked to implement the items they suggested and started a monthly campaign to continue to grow our presence in our markets.

We have worked with Casey Meraz the founder as well as a few members of the support staff including their paid search person, their content team, and others.

Working with Juris Digital has been the best decision we could have made as far as our SEO program goes. The number of leads has increased dramatically over the years, but more importantly we're getting higher quality cases from the leads.

They are very organized in our monthly meeting and present to me what we are doing to achieve our goals. I'm mostly hands off but we do meet once a month.

I primarily worked with a project manager, who they replaced twice, so I worked with three managers in total. In the background, there’s a team that works on the content, web design, and so on.

I saw some of their work with previous clients and decided to work with them.

The project cost $90,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May 2020–March 2021.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business. 

The results were terrible. They delivered content that had inaccurate legal information. Additionally, Juris Digital presented reports containing another attorney’s name, which meant that they were reusing content. 

How was project management handled?

Initially, they did well. However, it got worse over time. We went through three different project managers, which was inconvenient. Furthermore, when one of them quit, there was a time where I didn’t have anyone managing the project.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

No, they didn’t really do anything right.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on communication by making sure that each client has a permanent project manager. Furthermore, they could make the content unique to each client and improve their research. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don’t recommend hiring them.
