Adara Collection is a fashion brand for headbands and we expanding the initial idea to apparel. I'm Francy Orellana the creative director and founder of the brand.

For what projects/services did your company hire Jose Hurtado, and what were your goals?

I'm fine Jose company through a friend of my and some recommendations with the idea of naming and logo for the brand, after our first meeting he suggest to expand the request to more than a logo, and be able to sell my products online under my own website, and also start the trademark process to be able to also sell in third party marketplaces.

After this initial meeting he blow my mind and basically I started to follow him directions and suggestions to meet my goal.

How did you select Jose Hurtado and what were the deciding factors?

Expertise and knowledge in different industries to me is the key, Jose have a great knowledge in new technologies and different ways to expand my brand on digitial environments.

We starting with the Naming of the brand, after that we received a moodboards proposals for the logo explorations and after decide which logo was the appropriately designed in base of our requests, we starting with the trademark registration process and in the main time the wireframes and designs for the website made under Shopify with some custom features to drive user to purchase, via website or using email marketing campaings.

2 persons: I Meet Jose and also a web developer to work together in my request.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Jose is honest, smart and balances the thought-out technical aspect of him personality with creative, out-of-the-box thinking...a rare find. After him implementations we starting to sell products through Shopify and also expand products on Etsy platform Waiting for approvals on Amazon

He very clear and formal with the process how we work, to me was nice to received documents and contracts to sign per phase, this show me a professional method and also the type of person Jose is. We use google forms.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

To me the knowledge about markets, industries and technologies was the key for my decision, he basically starting the conversations with suggestions and with no pressure to work with him, he was very honest and worry about my company and brand goals, and to me was the best experience. 

The team has a strong knowledge of the market and tools to measure my business goals.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

To be honest maybe he need to explore another way to send approval forms, sometimes google forms is limited and also for some reason in couple times I submitted the approval and he ask me back about the same approval via email.

Jose helped us put together two websites and branding for two companies. He did research and provided options based on demographics, image and existing branding, design the entire website, navigation, galleries, and all other screens necessary. He uploded all the content we provided: images, text/copies, and help set up the user experience as well as SEO to improve reach and traffic.

We ordered a previous website audit build on a CMS with low conversions, and after the presentation, we decided to continue working with him based on recommendations and expertise and move our platform to Shopify. He build for us all design and custom theme development based of our industry and also make some inventory and tracking implementations with our existing system.

We increase time on page and also conversions and sales, in conjunction with the email marketing strategy suggested but not managed for him, to us the overall experience was a key factor for the future investments in resources to be more effective.

He worked with us very close, with weekly meetings to show progress and continue email communication, something that give us more transparency because we notice the difference in comparison with previous designers. He is very well organized and respects the initial timeframe designed for the scope of work.

To be honest something that could be improve is on the continue reminders for overdue invoices, even is something that is our responsibility to pay on time and maybe is automated, for us was a little stressful.
