What challenge were you trying to address with Join.To.It?

We engaged Join.To.It to develop the frontend of our website after we had already worked with another developer on some of the initial development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Join.To.It redesigned the frontend of our website, using Laravel Spark and CSS. They redesigned the booking engine, front page, and other features, including promotions, subscriptions, and indexing system.

What is the team composition?

We work with three to four developers, as well as a couple project managers and a QA lead.

We found them through Upwork after we decided to stop working with another agency.

We've invested about $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working with them since July 2018 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven't launched yet, but the site has been very well received internally thus far. Join.To.It has significantly raised the site's standard of quality, resolving a lot of issues we had with the previous version built by another vendor.

How did Join.To.It perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very responsive and proactive about using project management tools, including Trello, Bitbucket, Slack, and Skype. We also hold daily standup meetings, so nothing falls through the cracks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Join.To.It's team is very hardworking compared to other agencies we've worked with. They're one of the few firms we've found capable of taking on our large and complex scope of work, navigating any obstacles quite well in the process. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Althought I'd always like to have things done faster, our database is very large and complicated, so we're very happy with everything they've done overall.

Communicate the company's needs and scope of work in as much as detail as possible.

My goal was to build an amazing, highly customized platform. Unfortunately, a lot of freelance developers that I found online weren’t willing to build the interface in the detailed way that I wanted.

Join.To.It has been an amazing developer for us, building everything from the ground up. They are helping develop the product and the website using Laravel, PHP, and JavaScript.

A former colleague had used them in the past and highly recommended them, so I decided to get in touch via email.

I have spent around $30,000 so far.

We started working together in February 2017, and the work is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Compared to our old platform, the new one is much better and actually works. The Join.To.It team is way better than anyone I have used in the past.

How did Join.To.IT perform from a project management standpoint?

They keep things quite organized. The project manager sends regular updates, including new work estimates to approve. I can also chat with both developers about what they’re working on in real time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I can draw up anything imaginable and give it to them, and they will do it. Other programmers complained about my specifications, but Join.To.It was the first and only firm I found that was willing to build whatever I wanted.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I am really happy.

Join.to.IT was to deliver a mv.p. SAAS product with AI integration that was ready to market. 
1. Project Description The project is to build a web application that helps users to win more deals by automating the analysis of why deals are won or lost. The analysis is done with the help of integrated AI that will interview customers for a good understanding of why deals are won or lost. Users of the application will receive a report after every analysis and have a dashboard that gives them strategic insights on how to win more deals. 
2. Scope of Work The project will incorporate several web application development services. 

• Draft project requirements based on the Clients’ needs. 
• Advise on technologies, services, platforms, and tools to be used. 
• Advise on programming languages to be used. 
• Create high level functional description for all functionalities. 
• Create UI designs for all functionalities. 
• Create detailed descriptions and instructions for programmers.

They were very responsive in taking the lead in moving the project forward. The designed sprints and planned weekly calls to discuss the delivered work

Their involvement was great, but what was impressive was that their business analyst was so intelligent and involved, that she was able to add a lot of insights and suggestions that helped the product be so much better.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Join.To.IT could have done differently?

Tracking the handeling progress of detailes that needed to be changed after each sprint (my feedback on the delivered work) could be better. Sometimes I lost track of what we already did and what still needed to be done. But when I asked for a way to track this better, they immediately came up with a solution. Their sales department also planned regularly call to evaluate the things thatgo well and the things they could do better.

Join.To.IT was able to build us a solution that stream lined our business, and create something ground breaking and an industry first, and has giving us a competitive edge in the marketplace.

The project took a little longer, but that was because the requirements expanded. The Business analysis that got assigned to our project was absolutely outstanding, she understood our business and what we were trying to achieve. Asking questions that reassured us they knew what were were trying to do.

We found Maria the BA to be an amazing support throughout the entire process. If there was an issue or obstacle she would try to find numerous solutions to fix this and present them to you rather than stating a problem. We found her to be amazing to work with. Very efficient, conscientious and productive in her role with a high content knowledge. She always kept the project progressing forward.

So far all is good. They do their best to support you as a start up and we are very happy to continue working with them on a maintenance front and for any future platform developments.
