**The Review** — Nov 17, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Jacob Tyler, the client’s leaders are happy with the website, which has also gained positive feedback from their partners and customers. The team has an excellent project management style, and their resources are communicative and responsive. They’ve met the client’s strict standards.
"“It’s been an excellent experience working with them, and I’m confident in their work.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the director of marketing at Dempsey Construction, a mid-sized general contractor in San Diego, California. We have around 95 employees and do about $200 million per year in business.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler? We hired Jacob Tyler to rebrand our organization, starting with building an entirely new website from the ground up.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Initially, we did a day-long onboarding session. The entire Jacob Tyler team was going to work on our account. It was a four-and-a-half-hour working session where they met our group leaders and learned about every aspect of our business. From there, we looked at templates for where we wanted our website to go. We locked into a new color palette and developed a new brand guide. Once we all agreed on the direction, look, and feel of the website, I took over and worked closely with Jacob Tyler on building our content, copy, layout, and site map. They refined our copy and new tag lines. Everything was built from scratch on WordPress so that it’d be easy for me to make edits and maintain the site once we moved through the QC process. We also integrated other things, such as site maps and SEO. Moreover, I had a portfolio of beautiful images and videos, so we didn’t need a lot of new media. The team utilized those assets and developed a horizontal scrolling feature instead of a vertical one.The next part of our engagement will start in January 2024, and they’ll develop our new logo based on the brand guidelines we’ve established during phase one. What is the team composition? We’ve worked with a total of seven teammates from Jacob Tyler, including Samantha (Director of Marketing Strategy & Accounts). Around 4–5 teammates are involved in the majority of the work, while their president gets involved as needed. Another team member has helped us launch the website as a technical expert. How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler? Our team found Jacob Tyler on Clutch via Google. They’d also done a couple of projects for companies in our industry, giving them some validation aside from what we had already read in their reviews online.Meanwhile, we did 3–4 rounds of interviews with creative agencies, starting with phone calls and Zoom interviews. Our team had an internal meeting to review the interviews. From there, we requested proposals from the agencies and conducted interviews with their senior leadership. Jacob Tyler came into our office, where the interview essentially turned into a collaboration meeting that lasted two hours. Our owner decided right away that they were the ones we wanted to work with, and that kicked off the engagement. How much have you invested with them? We’ve invested around $80,000. What is the status of this engagement? The project started in February 2023, and we finished the first phase in November 2023. The partnership is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Our senior leadership team is truly happy with the website, and that’s great considering that it’s difficult to get them to all agree on something. That’s a success in itself. Besides that, we’ve received a lot of positive feedback from our clients and partners who have seen the website. It’s modern and forward-thinking for our industry, which means not everyone is going to understand it. However, it resonates with the most important people from our audience. As far as I’m concerned, that’s a complete success. Overall, Jacob Tyler’s work has been excellent. How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?Jacob Tyler’s project management is good. They meet our deadlines and stay on budget. For communication, we mainly use texts, phone calls, Zoom, and Google Meet. I have relatively consistent communication with them throughout the entire process. What did you find most impressive about them?Samantha has been great, and she treats our project like it’s her baby. She’s highly communicative and responsive. Our organization has tight brand standards and high expectations, and she’s taken all of that in stride. She’s easy to work with on a difficult project — she’s been incredible. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there aren’t any. It’s been an excellent experience working with them, and I’m confident in their work. Do you have any advice for potential customers?Decision-makers are often hesitant to build a new website because of the price. However, a new website can modernize your organization and brand, so it’s worth every penny. In our industry, we want the best quality product. You want a building that’s going to be there and that you’re proud of — it should be top of the line and stay standing for a long time. The same goes for marketing. You want something you’re proud of, so remember that a good product isn’t cheap, and a cheap product isn’t good. You can’t be afraid to spend real money in marketing if you want great results.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We were primarily trying to raise awareness about our company and our offering. Secondly, our products are fairly complex to talk about and to create a value proposition amongst our target customers. Thus, we needed an agency to help us educate our target customers and have them understand why they should purchase our products and build other products around ours’.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Jacob Tyler helped us with our messaging. The onboarding process lasted six weeks, during which we went through a thorough learning exercise to understand what needed to happen.

Since then, Jacob Tyler has helped us execute a comprehensive awareness strategy, which has included SEO, keyword research, backlinking, content strategy, brand strategy, and demand generation. Our different efforts take different positions in our priority list. Still, we’re constantly reprioritizing one thing over another, depending on our needs, the products we’re trying to move, and the gaps in the market’s understanding of what we do.

We have a creative budget as part of our contract, so Jacob Tyler has also helped us develop the creative assets needed for our strategy. These assets include social media posts, blogs, and other types of content for marketing purposes. Additionally, they’ve helped us redesign our website so that we can capture more traffic.

Currently, we’re working with Jacob Tyler on a demand generation and database development project. This project will be a LinkedIn-focused initiative to help us get more people into our marketing and sales funnel.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with Tom (President), Samantha (Director of Accounts & Strategy), and various copywriters, as well as with other people from Jacob Tyler, depending on the project we’re working on. Samantha is our account manager, so I collaborate with her daily.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I was looking for a local agency so that we could work collaboratively and create a close relationship. I wanted to meet with them in person. Jacob Tyler has a very good reputation in San Diego, California, and around the world, so they were a perfect fit for what I was looking for.

I was referred to Jacob Tyler’s president and reached out to him. From our first contact and all the way through the bidding process, they took very good care of us, so my initial experience with them was very solid.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $135,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around April 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thus far, Jacob Tyler has done everything they’ve promised, so we’ve been very happy with the results of our engagement; they’ve been a great partner. Their team has been very good at synthesizing our message into what resonates with our target customers. They’ve successfully overcome the learning curve around what we do, taking our complex and nuanced messaging and transforming it into what we wanted the market to understand about us.

Moreover, Jacob Tyler’s SEO efforts have helped us reach the number one search result on three keywords. We’ve also consistently seen our rankings improve on the different keywords we leverage. Thanks to their SEO work, we recently had our biggest month ever of website traffic.

We have a very rigid compliance stance because we’re held very accountable by the FDA on a number of levels. As a drug development company, we’re held accountable for all compliance around FDA drug development. Still, we have a commercial side to our business, so there’s a lot of scrutiny from the FDA around what we can and can’t say.

Thus, our compliance stance has been yet another learning curve that Jacob Tyler has needed to overcome. Their team has done a tremendous job at ensuring that what they do stays squarely on the right side of FDA compliance.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Jacob Tyler has performed exceptionally well. Typically, the delays are caused by our organization. Still, they’ve effectively and politely pushed us toward the end goal of the project. Their team has never missed a deadline; they’ve always delivered on time and under budget.

In addition to that, the onboarding process was very thorough and rewarding, and Jacob Tyler handled it like a professional. Thanks to that process, we were able to get off the ground very quickly. We use email for quick communication, Zoom and Google Meet for our weekly meetings, and Airtable for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jacob Tyler has been flexible around our needs. Whatever we ask them for, they’re very willing to help us get it done, and they’ve been very accommodating to our requests. They’ve even done work for our partners who don’t have a marketing budget, helping them push out messaging around products that will ultimately help us gain new customers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing Jacob Tyler could do better. They’ve been very consistent in their approach and support, and we’ve never had an issue.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take the onboarding process very seriously because it will determine how successful your engagement will be.

**The Review** — Oct 4, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Jacob Tyler was instrumental in designing the new aspect of the client’s brand, and the client is thankful for their work. The team is committed, knowledgeable, available, and communicative, and they offer a flexible work dynamic. They adapt to each clients’ needs and make work enjoyable.
"“Jacob Tyler makes the work dynamic enjoyable, and they’re incredibly intelligent.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the acting CMO of Greenerways Organic, a household goods company specializing in organic products like outdoor bug repellents and personal care products. We also have private label and contract manufacturing capabilities, and we have over 350,000 square feet of warehouse space in downtown Los Angeles.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

In the late part of last year, we decided that we were in the right place to do a proper rebrand commemorating the 10th year anniversary of Greenerways. At the time, our company was only in the bug repellent and cleaning category, so our products were very seasonal.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Jacob Tyler is not only our rebranding partner, but they’ve also become our agency of record. Initially, they did some good customer insight studies to learn more about our followers. Then, they helped us come up with a new logo for our company.

We’ve worked separately with our chemist to create new formulations, but Jacob Tyler has been in charge of all of the packaging design required. Currently, they’re also building our website.

They’ve already delivered our branding guidelines and logo, but we’re still in the rebranding phase. Once we’re done with our rebranding, packaging design, and website development, we will start working with them on creative digital marketing.

What is the team composition?

We have eight different people assigned to our account working on different parts of the project. Their team includes two designers, a senior account manager, a copywriter, and 2–3 people in charge of the digital and social media strategy. Jacob Tyler’s owner is also very involved in the project, helping us ensure that everything is on point.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I found Jacob Tyler while searching for top rebranding and PR companies on different sites like Forbes and Financial Times. I had put together a proper RFP, so I interviewed a total of 20 different companies. From those 20 companies, we narrowed down our options to 10 and then to three; Jacob Tyler was among those three companies.

We finally awarded them the business because they were incredibly personable. Their personalities shined during their presentation, and the owner was present in every meeting.

They also proved to be very dedicated to their work. For example, once we hired them, four of their team members, including the owner, drove from San Diego to Los Angeles to meet us in person despite COVID-19.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around March 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have results yet because our project hasn’t moved into anything actionable, and our customers haven’t seen anything related to our new brand yet. However, the extensive study that Jacob Tyler did for us became the benchmark for our new ethos. Additionally, they’ve been very helpful in the design of our new logo and packaging.

When Jacob Tyler asked me to leave a review for them, I immediately agreed because the dynamic of our work, the rate at which they do tasks, and their level of accessibility and flexibility are great. I see them as an extension of our group, and our teamwork is really positive.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Jacob Tyler is fantastic from a project management standpoint. We have a scheduled Monday check-in meeting with the account manager, where we align on the goals for the week.

Every Wednesday, we have a call with the owner and the different stakeholders of both companies to touch base. Finally, on Fridays, the account manager and I get together to see if we met the deadlines and see if we missed anything.

Apart from those three standing virtual meetings, most of our communication is via email. We also communicate via text messages. Overall, they’re very available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jacob Tyler is incredible at making a bespoke dynamic. They recognize that not all small brands and clients are the same, so they adjust to what works best for each company. They don’t make clients follow a strict format or regimen, and they adapt very well to their needs.

Jacob Tyler makes the work dynamic enjoyable, and they’re incredibly intelligent. Additionally, they’re culturally the right fit for us. We believe in transparency, and they operate the same way; everything they do is honest and easy to follow.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t know what Jacob Tyler could improve on because I haven’t hit a bump in the road. The only hiccup we’ve had was regarding their expectations communication at the beginning. However, they changed the account manager, and that was fixed. Everything else has worked well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Come to the table prepared with what you want and the timeline in which you want it, and be open-minded to the way they will present their pitch back. What worked well for us was that we were prepared for what we needed to do, making the kick-off easier and more seamless.

**Feedback Summary**: The company’s website has become more intuitive and clean. It’s also easy to navigate, thanks to Jacob Tyler’s work. The team has been highly communicative and willing to take on the challenges of the project, earning them the client’s confidence in their ability to deliver the necessary work.
"“Jacob Tyler has truly modernized our brand with a clean, smooth, and easy to navigate website.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior director of digital marketing at a company that offers software data and analytics to pharmaceutical and healthcare businesses around bringing drugs to the market.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We hired Jacob Tyler to update our brand identity and create a new modern website for us to bring into 2021.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We took three websites and consolidated them into one, and Jacob Tyler handled the design and development of that website. We also did a brand update, and their team handled all of our company’s branding materials, visual guidelines, and new mission statement.

To tackle these deliverables, we had a number of meetings with Jacob Tyler to develop our tone and personality as a brand. They wrote website content and formulated its look and feel based on the brand personality that we identified. That included all the imagery, color palette, and typography that we used. Once all of those were developed, they translated them into actual website design.

So far, we’ve launched the first phase of this project. We’re currently working on phase two, which will be finished in November 2021.

What is the team composition?

I work with three people from their team regularly.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I worked with Jacob Tyler on a website refresh project 10 years ago. Given that, I wanted to bring them in to create our new branding and website. Meanwhile, the other companies we considered thought the project was a big one. In fact, one vendor bowed out of it because it was too large for them to handle. Another vendor had a similar price point as Jacob Tyler, but their communication style wasn’t as great.

By contrast, Jacob Tyler was communicative. Les (Founder & CEO) reached out to me multiple times to talk about different points of the engagement. Their project manager was also amazing, flexible, and extremely communicative. In other words, their communication style truly won us over; they were also enthusiastic about our product — they were willing to take on this large, intense project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project in January 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Jacob Tyler has truly modernized our brand with a clean, smooth, and easy-to-navigate website. Overall, intuitive website development and design are their high points.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has been highly effective.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jacob Tyler is truly passionate about our project, and they have a personal approach to our engagement. Some of the other companies I’ve approached seem to be on it for the money. By contrast, Jacob Tyler seems to care about their clients. In fact, Les reaches out to us when we’re in sticky situations trying to resolve issues.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would love to see them working more closely with their developers. Sometimes, the project manager promises me things that haven’t been cleared with their developers, who end up having a whole different idea about the timing of the tasks.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tell Jacob Tyler everything you need from the start because they can deliver.

**The Review** — Jun 2, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The work made by Jacob Tyler has helped the client to progress. Now, the client is going to engage with them for digital advertising and marketing efforts thanks to their quality. The team is communicative and transparent, and they allow COVID-19-safe in-person meetings to help the creative process.
"“I like the ease of access that they offer and their transparency whenever I have a question.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and president of a company that manufactures dermatological products for men.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We needed help with our marketing and advertising to boost our digital presence.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We were a new company, so Jacob Tyler started doing marketing research to help us establish our branding, positioning strategy, and messaging.

After that was completed, they helped us design and develop our Shopify website and related social media pages, as well as manage our social media campaigns. The site is a traditional e-commerce platform that incorporates all of the modern tools.

They also designed the packaging of our product. We sell our product directly to consumers, and it’s available wholesale to dermatologists, so Jacob Tyler helped me develop a traditional sales sheet used by our salespeople when soliciting dermatologists — that was an old-school type of marketing material.

What is the team composition?

We work with a team of five people from them, but various other Jacob Tyler’s members have participated when we’ve had questions requiring certain expertise. The core team includes developers, designers, and a copywriter.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

Our project started during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I primarily researched online, using Clutch as the starting point. I made a list of companies, reached out to them, and looked for referrals.

Jacob Tyler was the only company that allowed in-person meetings, which was very important to me. I believe that in-person collaboration is critical in a creative process, and I don’t think that working remotely can facilitate true collaboration.

I liked the access I had to Jacob Tyler’s portfolio information as well. When I first started communicating with the candidates, Jacob Tyler was the most open in providing me detailed information on their entity, including work they’d done and clients I could contact. I was able to see those clients’ online presence.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent $180,000, and we have another $70,000 sitting in reserve for the first round of digital advertising.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in May 2020, and we’re going live at the beginning of July 2021, but we’re just waiting for a final packaging component. The delay was due to FDA timelines.

I’m going to be working with Jacob Tyler on an ongoing contract for digital advertising and marketing content management.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had great progress working together.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Jacob Tyler’s communication has been great at all levels. The most important part is that we’re still working together. We’ve been working in person with them, which is very important for me in this creative process. They have protocols in place for COVID-19, and everyone on the team is vaccinated.

Although they have a hybrid model internally for project management, we have weekly meetings together. The project was broken down into 10 components, including branding, copywriting, packaging, and logo design, and all timelines set have been met.

They utilize standard tools for working online, including Zoom and Basecamp. They also use integrated Adobe technologies to view, change, and annotate mockups. I also have their CEO’s phone number, and I can reach out whenever I have a question.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What really distinguished Jacob Tyler from the beginning was that they assigned a large group to me, even though I was a new client. I like the ease of access that they offer and their transparency whenever I have a question.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I could provide greater feedback if the product was live. At this point, Jacob Tyler has followed the agreement.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

You should clearly state your needs and request a full definition of the services that Jacob Tyler will be offering you. I had a startup project encompassing a lot, and branding, positioning, and messaging were the foundation that, ultimately, lead to all the work across the project.

Clients should focus on understanding how Jacob Tyler manages that process and getting examples of it. That really helped me see how their team worked, and I used it to compare them to other teams. I felt very comfortable understanding how they were going to develop those key elements.

Their photography is especially captivating for users. The team is responsive and available. Jacob Tyler is a friendly vendor that understands consumer behavior.
"“Jacob Tyler is probably the best company I’ve ever worked with in terms of project management.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re the United States distributor for a Japanese skincare line. I’m the CEO.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We needed help with web development and branding. We wanted to improve our customer acquisition. We also were looking to turn our brand messaging into visual components and a customer journey. On our previous site, we had very low conversions because we didn’t understand the guest journey.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Jacob Tyler created our entire Shopify website. We started out with several discovery meetings. From there, they built out our site and took time to understand all of our social integrations. The team also built out our product pages and cleaned up our content.

Jacob Tyler also implemented gift cards and integrated multiple ways to pay. The team recommended Okendo and implemented Klarna. They also downloaded a gift card software.

Additionally, they redid the photography on our website. We had some photos from a prior photoshoot, and Jacob Tyler went through and edited all those photos so they would follow the same format.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Jennifer (Account Supervisor) as a main point of contact. I also worked with Tom (Creative Director), an owner, and a team that handled site mapping.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

They were recommended to us by another vendor. We met with 3–4 other companies and we ended up choosing Jacob Tyler.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $52,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in November 2020, and our work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We only launched a couple of weeks ago, so we don’t have any metrics to share yet. We asked several dermatologists for their feedback; they said the site was authentic and easy to use. Current users also enjoy the black and white photos we incorporated.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re fantastic. The team is extremely responsive, easy to work with, and available. They always respond within a few minutes if not a few hours. Jacob Tyler is probably the best company I’ve ever worked with in terms of project management. We use BugHerd and Basecamp for project management. We communicated via phone, email, and text. We’ve also met in person a couple of times.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like their site mapping and how much they understand consumer behavior. The team has a good understanding of how to map out and build a website. We formed a good relationship, and they even asked us to participate in a video for Jennifer’s birthday. I trust them, and I know they have my best interest in mind.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to make sure you give them as much information as possible. They do not mind readers. Be able to portray what you’re looking for. The more you communicate what you want to see, the better the end product will be.

The Jacob Tyler team uses tools that streamline communication and project management. Their creativity is notable.
""Each member of their team has a different creative outlook. It’s unique and comes together nicely."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a project manager for United Fulfillment Solutions, Inc. We’re a third-party logistics, fulfillment, and shipping company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We’re in an industry that’s harder to understand, and marketing isn’t our strong suit. We didn’t market ourselves properly, so that’s why we turned to Jacob Tyler — to bring us to the next level.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

When Jacob Tyler came on board, we started to work on our branding. We started from scratch, and they came up with our brand guidelines and updated our internal documents accordingly. Their team created all the content and creative materials. They’re now working on our sales deck and other marketing materials. Their team currently works on our SEO initiatives too.

We’re taking a phased approach to the engagement. Once we finish the two phases we mapped out, their team will start working on our website. That phase will also include photography and videography services.

What is the team composition?

I have ongoing contact with our senior account manager, a creative director, and an art director. We also work with a content creator and speak with their CEO.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I researched marketing companies and talked with about 50 different companies. I then narrowed our list of prospects. Jacob Tyler made it through the process. We just connected.

How much have you invested with them?

The first phase of the project cost around $50,000 and the second phase will cost around there too. We also have monthly services that cost about $3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2020, and it’s ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Jacob Tyler’s work blows us away. We didn’t have documented brand guidelines before working with them. The guidelines helped us step up our game and captured our audience. They gave us a different perspective on how we work. The guidelines will also play into our sales collateral, which will produce a good ROI.

We’re excited about our other projects becoming a reality with them. We’re excited to start the photography project.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They use Basecamp as a communication and project management tool. Their team creates a timeline for projects in Basecamp that they update. There are also checklists within each project’s scope. It’s a great way for us to communicate as well as through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Each member of their team has a different creative outlook. It’s unique and comes together nicely.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have anything negative to share.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure that you partner with a vendor that’s willing to learn about your industry. It was hard to find someone that was willing to learn about what we do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so. We’re satisfied with our choice.

**The Review** — Jun 19, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Jacob Tyler’s efforts have been extremely helpful in terms of providing materials that the business can use to interact with clients and developing solid brand messaging. Not only are they a thorough and communicative partner, but they also deliver their work on time or ahead of schedule.
""Their responsiveness and experience set them apart."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a specialist at a dental services company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We wanted to have a degree of marketing visibility. We’re a startup, so we needed to have an aligned message and a good marketing strategy so that our customers could see us and find us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Jacob Tyler is designing our web presence, as well as some ancillary materials that we’ll be giving directly to some of our partners. The team is also helping us with overall marketing strategy, brand messaging, and personality.

They take our model for delivery and create a more comprehensive strategy for reaching the people we need to reach. They’re also working on updating our logo design and designing and developing our website.

Some of the features that they’re creating for the website include video testimonials as well as functionality that enables patients to contact their own dentists.

What is the team composition?

There are 7–8 teammates working on the project including Les (CEO & Chief Creative Officer), Maddie (Brand & Communications Strategist), Jennifer (Senior Account Marketing Manager), Jeshua (Art Director), and a copywriter

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

We looked at companies that do specialized marketing within the dental field. Because we’re a dental service, rather than a one-off dental practice, it seemed like Jacob Tyler was the company that was able to deliver a complete package and was more experienced with doing something on the scale we were looking at.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $90,000 thus far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in April 2020, and it’s ongoing. We hope to continue working with them as a longterm partner.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Jacob Tyler has helped us in terms of our messaging. Even though the project isn’t completed and we don’t have the website up, just doing the messaging has given us materials that we can use right away to pitch and talk to our customers.

This also gives us the ability to make smaller-scale marketing materials like flyers which we can do on a short-term basis. Doing that upfront research and brand messaging work with the team has allowed us to have some early deliverables.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

The team is very thorough when it comes to project management. They are communicative, and we use Basecamp. Jacob Tyler gets back to us within the same day, and they deliver on time or early. Additionally, they solicit feedback and quickly do edits when necessary.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness and experience set them apart. Jacob Tyler has experience working with big contracts and companies nationwide. I talk to the owner and the team members regularly, and the same people who sold us on the project, are the people who we’re working with.

This is usually different in large agencies, where the people you speak to hand off their work to less-experienced teammates. Jacob Tyler strikes a balance between having nationwide experience while remaining small enough to know the people they work with by name and face.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing stands out.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know that they’re very responsive, so it will be helpful for you to be equally as responsive in order to get the project done on time.

"“It was enjoyable, and we would work with them again in a heartbeat.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the President of Bitcentral, Inc. We provide software solutions to help people maximize the value of their media. We have several large broadcast tv news customers, and we do provide on-premise software solutions. We also are in the digital space for video, as well. It allows the customer to own their content and monetize it. We are #1 in the country in the broadcast news space, holding 50% share, which is more than our competitors.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We had a new project, called Fuel, entering the digital media space. So, we needed branding. We also were looking to build our reputation in the digital space.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They came up with the whole brand messaging guide, including the brand story, the reason this solution exists, for our internal team as well as external audiences. They did a positioning statement, describing the core of what the product does, brand promise, tagline, and entire brand personality to define who we are, how we work and how we communicate with our audiences. There were key characteristics of the brand personality, such as nimble, brand-tested, knowledgeable, and a brand voice, setting the tone of the language as passionate, empathetic, confident, and more. They created a consistency between the brand messaging and language.
They came up with unique selling propositions for the various targets/personnel we would address, including CEOs, general managers, head engineers, and users.
They did a similar, less full, branding for Bitcentral.
They also did brand design and backend development of the website; a landing page, called Streamingfuel.com. It’s a lead generation site; they optimized it for SEO and SEM, and tied it into the graphic design and creative of the brochures they created.
They created a four-page Fuel brochure, and a two-page quick sheet.

What is the team composition?

Tom (Creative Director) was the lead creative; there was an account manager and someone working on graphic design. There may have been other working, but those were the three main points of contact.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

We found them on Clutch. When we spoke with Tom, we felt they could translate our message well. We liked the way they delivered for their other clients; simplified and creative messaging.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2019 – June 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We needed the branding done quickly, and were impressed with how quickly they worked without sacrificing quality. Their work hit the right tone; our founder felt it was brilliant. We really liked the way they translated the words into visual concepts for the brochures and website. Feedback from everyone has been quite positive; great output.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They were extremely responsive and available. We communicated continuously, mainly via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They deliver on their promise in a timely manner. Their process was great; they interviewed key people and really listened, implementing all the necessary key things into their work. They felt like a partner rather than a vendor. It was enjoyable, and we would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some of it could’ve been on our end, but there were times when some of the efforts on the website didn’t solve the problem with the first, or second, attempt.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing and communications manager for Helix Electric, we’re a specialty contracting Jacob Tyler.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We had a 10-year-old website that needed to be revamped.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We contracted them for branding and messaging and the design and development of our new website. We wanted a whole new look, and we wanted it to be clear as to who we are and where we’re going.

We provided them with a bulleted list of issues we were having or ideas we wanted to include in the sight. We also did a bit of research on other sites, new technology, and modern looks. We just gave them an idea of what we did and didn’t like on some existing sites.

For the branding part of the project, they put together a meeting and started interviewing leadership in our company. I think they sat down with all of our executives at one of our offices to talk about what our brand is. We determined who we are, what we do, and why we do it.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a branding manager and two other employees. Then once we went into the design part of the project, we worked with the coordinator that was with us throughout the service and a designer. After that, we worked with a developer.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

Our VP put out some feelers while looking for a design firm and Jacob Tyler was provided as a reference. Then we did some research and spoke with them and determined that they were the right fit.

How much have you invested with them?

The contact was close to $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from October 2019–April 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were very patient with us. They were flexible and we were able to introduce new ideas. They gave us some feedback as to if there were any limitations, but there were very few. They were just very proactive about finding alternatives. They listened to our needs, and overall, they’ve provided a very good service. They offered a lot of modern technology for the questions we had regarding how the site would look in the future.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Basecamp. The coordinator was always on task. They introduced us to a schedule of delivery and we knew all the milestones we needed to hit. Working on this throughout COVID-19, they kept moving forward and delivered within our deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their creativity really stood out and the designers were awesome. They took our ideas and were able to come up with solutions. Every time we met with them, we were productive and moved the project forward. They’re always looking for the newest tech to make a website stand out from anyone else’s.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t really have anything on their end that needs to be improved.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open. You don’t need to hold back on any ideas that you may consider crazy.

Jacob Tyler’s designs are on point. With the label design, they were able to give me exactly what I wanted. I love the website’s design, which is clean, simple, and modern.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing for them to improve right now.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re good in their focus industries. If what your company and project fits into those categories, I recommend them.

Meeting project deadlines, they couple professionalism and organization to deliver high-quality work.
"“Jacob Tyler’s rebranding services have enhanced our image.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of marketing for the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation. We’re responsible for supporting the National Naval Aviation Museum.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We were looking to rebrand and develop a new identity. Our engagement included redesigning our website and branding efforts for both organizations.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

In terms of deliverables, Jacob Tyler provided a website, logo, and brand guide. They completely built our website from scratch. This included a new logo, fresh designs, and improving the platform’s clarity. Their team came up with all the mockups and wireframes. After that, we reviewed content and gave them basic copyright information and photos.

What is the team composition?

I’ve had a couple of main contacts depending on the project stage. There are about 3–5 people on their team.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I found them on Clutch.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested approximately $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership began in June 2019 and is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website’s new modern design and ease of navigation are great. Jacob Tyler helped us organize our exhibit and aircraft web pages by enhancing the UI. Our platform is now user-friendly and brings us into the modern era. We’re now in the same competitive space as other museums in our field. Before, it was challenging to get all that information to the user in an easy, navigable way. Now, users can navigate our site with ease.

Jacob Tyler’s rebranding services have enhanced our image. It’s made us more credible and able to stand our ground in the aerospace STEM industry. Our logo and visuals are all enhanced. We can compete with the big players now.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve exceeded our expectations in meeting all the project deadlines. Their team is very professional and organized in their timelines. Project and time management are definitely their strong suit. We use Basecamp as a tool for communication and collaboration.

We have phone calls once or twice a week to set deadlines, and it works really well for us. They’re easily accessible through video conferencing. If I have any questions, they take the time to fully answer them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There was natural ease of communication. The project manager is great about holding us accountable, without being pushy. They don’t get caught up in technical aspects and deliver down-to-earth open lines of communication. I really feel that I’m a part of their team and vice versa.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any areas for improvement.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to provide examples of what you do and don’t like. Setting those standards ahead of time will make it easier for their designer to streamline the process.

**Feedback Summary**: The new site has recieved positive feedback from the company's CEO and board members on it's updated design. Jacob Tyler establishes consistent communication with the client to ensure successful collaboration. The team is organized, attentive, and creative.
""They were incredibly organized and kept us on track."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior director of marketing at PWN Health, a national telehealth company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We needed to come up with a brand-new website from scratch, with copy and branding.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We created a brand-new website using WordPress. Their team created everything from start to finish, from our color palette to copywriting. We used them to design a logo refresh. We completely overhauled our web presence, tying into the branding element.

To speak to the copywriting element, our business model is heavily complex. It’s B2B and B2C healthcare, and it’s difficult to understand. We had to work very closely with them to get the messaging right. In the end, we were very pleased with the product.

Our former site was just horrific. In terms of new features, we have a video that plays when first landing on the page, there’s a “Contact Us” form, a page about us in the news and media, and users can get to our social channels from all pages. Jacob Tyler completely overhauled our website, bringing in a fresh, proper design. Additionally, they’re also hosting our site.

We also got into branding a little bit. We had them design a new logo for us, based on the old one. We’re very particular and didn’t want to veer too much away from our traditional logo and icon image. Les (CEO and Chief Creative Officer, Jacob Tyler) did a fantastic job of keeping us close to what we formerly had, and did the logo refresh in a very smart way. We went through many, many iterations. Their team is very patient and reliable.

What is the team composition?

We had a project manager, a copywriter, a designer, and two developers. Les was always involved to make sure things were running smoothly, always checking in with us to make sure we were happy and that things were going well. There were around six people involved, and Jennifer (Senior Account Manager, Jacob Tyler) was our main contact. She kept us on track with everything moving along.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I think a former colleague told me about Clutch, and actually mentioned the name Jacob Tyler. We looked into them and had an interview call. For the price, they were willing to offer us the scope of work that was involved, and w thought they were the perfect fit. It’s also worth saying that we didn’t go with them at first. We had calls with three other similar companies, and we priced them out and had phone interviews. After all was said and done, Jacob Tyler proved to be the right people for us.

How much have you invested with them?

It’s ongoing, and I don’t have an exact cost. They were relatively fair, compared to the other companies we spoke with. We set a scope for each of their rates, and they went above and beyond every single time, from the logo design to the website iterations. They gave us much more than what we contracted.

I’d say the cost has been $50,000–$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Jacob Tyler in July 2019, and the collaboration will be ongoing. The bulk of the work was finished right before the holidays, in mid-December 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everyone is extremely happy with everything, from our CEO to our board members. We have major people from the health tech world sitting on our board, and I haven’t heard one complaint about the site. Everyone’s been very pleased with its functionality, navigation, and everything else.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated through every medium at all times, at all hours. Our company is based in the East Coast, and they’re on the West Coast. They may have gotten irritated with me calling them very early, but they were still always available to answer at any time, including weekends. We used text message, email, phone calls, and video calls.

They were incredibly organized and kept us on track. We were going through Thanksgiving and all the other holidays, and we were asking for a pretty tight deadline. We had very tight turnarounds, and they kept us on track.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One thing I appreciated very much was that the president of their company called quite frequently to check-in, just to make sure that things were going well and we were happy. If there was anything we wanted to be different or that we just weren’t pleased with, he would be very quick to course-correct and make sure we were happy with the final product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m pretty pleased with everything they did for us. We weren’t an easy group to work with. We weren’t really sure what we were looking for, so we really needed some creative direction, and we had them go back to the drawing board a lot. For the most part, they did everything really, really well.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients should talk to them first and look at some of their work. We saw the other websites that Jacob Tyler had created and the brands they helped bring to life. They have some really substantial work behind them. That, combined with the price, was really good for us.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We initially hired them to reconfigure our database, where our customers go to create a profile, upload photos and information about their pets, and receive an ID. We’ve since brought Jacob Tyler on to do work on our website. Our website was a few years old and wasn’t functioning very quickly, so it was getting bad Google PageSpeed reviews.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The first project that Jacob Tyler completed was reconfiguring our database. They fixed some issues we were having with it and added more functionalities. Then, they rebuilt the backend of our WordPress website to speed it up. The project they’re currently working on and are almost done with is a complete redesign and rebrand of the website. We’ve approved all of the design elements, so now they’re going to coding.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is Les (CEO & CCO, Jacob Tyler). We also have another contact who is more on the technical side of things.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I’ve known about Jacob Tyler here in San Diego for the past ten years.

How much have you invested with them?

My company has spent about $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our work together began in August 2019, and it’s ongoing. We’re hoping to launch the new site in about two weeks.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is now performing really well in terms of speed, and the database functionality is significantly improved. The new website hasn’t launched yet, but the design looks really good.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They have excellent communication. We talk over the phone, text messages, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their design team is excellent; they’ve gone way beyond what I was expecting on the design side of things. They’re also in contact with us almost every day. Their design and communication skills are better than what I’ve seen in the past working with other agencies.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not that I can think of.

Any advice for potential customers?

They respond very quickly to emails and phone calls, so just reach out, and they’ll respond to you.

**Feedback Summary**: The new platform is mobile-friendly and can easily be updated by an internal team. Jacob Tyler incorporated their partner’s ideas and gave them the tools they needed to independently manage their own site, ensuring that the platform will stay engaging and current even though collaboration ended.
"“Their rapid feedback was very helpful, and we were always able to lean on them.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing director for a general engineering and landscape contractor that specializes in habitat restoration.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We hadn’t updated our site since 2012. So, we needed a more mobile-friendly and dynamic platform that could be viewed from any device, whether it’s a laptop, phone, or iPad.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Jacob Tyler redesigned and built our parent company’s website using WordPress, so we wanted to use the same template and tweak it to fit our business’s needs. We had several discussions with Jacob Tyler about how to customize the template and make it more unique for us, and they built it out from there. We simply had to give them our ideas and they would implement them into our template. Almost instantaneously, I would see the changes on our draft site.

Now, when users are directed from our site to our parent company’s site, they’re going to have a similar UX. It was also really important that we were able to update content so the platform was more engaging. Their team trained us on how to update the platform and advised on content.

What is the team composition?

We had a primary point of contact and a director that we talked to regularly, but the development team has about five people on it.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

They worked with our parent company, who then referred them to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $10,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from October 2018–March 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Now we have a fluid, active, and current site. Giving us the ability to publish new content, they’ve definitely set us up for success even though they’re out of the picture.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Basecamp, which catalogs comments, and information we’ve exchanged, so they’re easy to refer to. I was also able to post questions to our shared site, and instead of going through management, I would get a direct response from the right person. Overall, they have a great team that is super responsive and collaborative.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Even though I knew very little about web design, they made everything really easy. I could ask questions or provide content, and they would respond within the day. Their rapid feedback was very helpful, and we were always able to lean on them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn’t see anything that they need to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take full advantage of Basecamp— they’re team is very responsive through that platform. We’ve had other experienced where the project got off track, but this tool was very useful in creating a seamless workflow between our teams.

**The Review** — Aug 21, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: The new site has drawn about 7,500 new users within a month of launch and has allowed the sales team to focus on qualified leads rather than cold calling. Jacob Tyler offers direct access to their designers and creative team, and this collaborative style makes them a reliable partner.
""Jacob Tyler offered feedback and group discussion directly with their experts, which made a difference."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

New Horizons Learning Group is a franchise of New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, an international training and development company. Our firm teaches everything from how to turn on a computer to high-end network security and IT training, as well as what we call leadership and development. The skills we offer include effective communications, project management, how to develop a team, and how to be a leader for tomorrow.

I'm the director of marketing. I manage all of our marketing and sales for our franchise, which is based in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

Our corporate franchisor had rolled out a new product line called the Center for Leadership and Development about two and a half years ago. When they rolled out that product line, their go-to-market plan was sales training. Given the way the consumer buys in a modern environment, that plan was not sufficient for us to grow this product line and to successfully sell that and educate our clients. We were relying entirely on our sales force making calls rather than a true go-to-market plan.

We were referred to Jacob Tyler through a couple of different people, and we decided to work with them to put together a brand guide, a style guide, and a communications guide. We wanted them to guide us through a launch for this product line as an independent microsite with a brand and social channels.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Our local website mirrored our larger corporate website but included additional local offerings. The master site directed people down to localities, and then in our local territories, we had over 65 to 70 different product lines. We could not educate our customers about that website from SEO or UX perspectives. That website still lives; however, Jacob Tyler built us a new Center for Leadership and Development site.

Jacob Tyler started with a discovery session. We reviewed their work and gave advice based on our product knowledge. They created a new logo and voice for us, with a communication and style guide for internal coaching.

They built our new website with independent social channels and they continue to run social media marketing campaigns along with Google Ads. Other services included showcasing pages on our LinkedIn account and running digital advertising campaigns. They did copywriting, design, and built and launched the website.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 8–10 people in total, including a team of copywriters, a team of creatives, and a team of developers and project managers.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

We were referred through a personal relationship with somebody on our team who had been in a professional forum with them. Our sales leader told us we were struggling with sales and needed marketing help, and that’s how the conversation started. We considered other vendors, but Jacob Tyler stood out.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $45,000 on the initial project and we continue to spend $6,000 monthly.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2019 and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the first 30 days, we had almost 10,000 sessions on our site and about 7,500 users. That's a brand-new audience that we've captured. We’ve been able to do this because our new site has allowed us to educate our market and our clients, which in turn has allowed sales to focus on truly qualified prospects rather than cold calling.

According to our team, the new website is unlike anything they’ve ever seen before. We can now connect with human elements in our marketing, and it’s been very exciting to see something of that nature.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management went well. Our communication was open and I received status updates either weekly or biweekly. They gave us an overview of everything that was happening and the timeline of events. We used Basecamp for project management and communicated through email and conference calls on BlueJeans.

We did struggle to coordinate eight people's schedules with a couple of stakeholders on our end. That became difficult at times, and it’s just the nature of working with a lot of people. However, it was something we overcame.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really liked the size of their team and their specialization. A lot of other marketing vendors that we've worked with we had a project coordinator who served as our main interface. With Jacob Tyler, having direct access to the copywriter, the design team, and the creative team was a great way to streamline communications and eliminate those potential barriers for miscommunication. Jacob Tyler offered feedback and group discussion directly with their experts, which made a difference.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would love to be able to come up with a better long-term strategic plan. Right now, we are not at the point where Jacob Tyler and our team are both contributing to content, whether that be social media posts or new content that we can create. As a marketing director, I feel a little bit at the mercy of a vendor right now because we don't have access to the website. If I need to go make a change, I have to submit it directly through them.

That's a Catch-22. We want to preserve the integrity of the site, but if I have to make some changes, I want to be able to just do it. Moving forward, I would like to improve how can each side contributes and how our involvement can scale in that sense.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get all of your stakeholders involved. I pulled in our products team, our sales team, and a variety of different resources to really make sure that our vision was communicated, not just the marketing vision. A lot of times, a marketing team has one vision, product has another vision, and operations and sales all have different points of view. Having all of our stakeholders commit to the time investment upfront made for a much more successful and seamless launch as well as a better buy-in from the entire team.

Jacob Tyler helped us become a player in the biometrics space. We’d been struggling to come up with the right wording for months, and Jacob Tyler’s unique and compelling messaging resolved this problem. They also provided high-impact graphics that really conveyed our message to customers.

**Feedback Summary**: Jacob Tyler facilitated a significant increase in brand awareness. The team maintained an open and collaborative relationship throughout the engagement, functioning as if they were an integral part of the client’s firm. Customers can expect a remarkable work ethic from each team member.
""Even when the scope of the project was small, they were willing and able to do an excellent job."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I was the director of operations, and then, shortly after, a senior account director at a company that managed incentive rebate card programs. We offered mobile phone rebates and other types of discounts via prepaid bank cards and private label—also known as closed-loop—cards.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

Initially, all we were looking for was an updated website. That’s what the initial bid was for.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Shortly after getting them going on the website, we did an overall rebrand with them. The team redid our logo and created a corporate identity package for us. They used the traditional scope format, where they asked a lot of questions at the beginning. Afterward, they sent a creative brief and spent time meeting with the executive team to discuss their vision for the project.

Once they completed the website, logo, and corporate identity package, Jacob Tyler began to function as an external creative team for the company. This included card art and designs for other digital and POS assets.

What is the team composition?

I worked with a variety of people from Jacob Tyler.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

My ex-husband had previously worked with Les (CEO, Jacob Tyler). I was familiar with some of the work that he’d done for different agencies and was always impressed with his creative output.

How much have you invested with them?

The company spent somewhere between $250,000–$500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The company first partnered with Jacob Tyler in 2011, and I know that the engagement lasted after I left in 2017. I believe that the company kept them on until the end of 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In terms of exposure, the impact is difficult to quantify. We were working with some massive international companies, so the exposure with any of our campaigns was in the multimillions. Their card art, which integrated branding that was constantly changing, went out to tens of millions of people.

I can’t speak to the profit margins that we experienced, but the exposure from dealing with well-known brands was extremely high. This came not just from the media, but also through the cards that people were carrying around in their wallets.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They had a clear, concise methodology that they used to hone in on what we were looking to do. They were committed to following that structure, which was comprehensive and integrated with all facets of the business.

As I said before, they eventually became our creative department and served as an extension of our company. It was as if we had an in-house creative team. We worked with them almost every day on daily or weekly deliverables

They used Basecamp, which helped us track various tasks and served as our main communication channel. The team was great about answering the phone, especially when I had questions or concerns. They were always helpful and responsive. We eventually started to do weekly or monthly status update calls, depending on what our focus was for that month or quarter.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Number one is their consistency in hiring exceptional people. Everyone from Jacob Tyler performed as if they were part of our team. True partnerships like that don’t seem to exist anymore. There’s usually a delineation between the outsourced team and the internal team, but I never felt that when working with them.

I love that Les holds his team to a high standard in terms of work ethic. No matter how busy they were, they finished their work and did it well. With every single person—every account supervisor, every account director, every project manager, everyone that worked on the digital assets—I was so impressed with their work ethic, which was something that I didn’t believe existed anymore.

The team was also very respectful and appreciative. No matter who it was coming into a project, it was always obvious that they wanted to do right by us and do right by the work. That consistency, along with the high quality of the creative work, was impressive.

I also appreciated that, although the team had creative integrity, they understood that some tasks didn’t require an extensive design phase. They were willing to make the process quick and painless when they needed to, especially when we didn’t have time for a sophisticated creative brief. Even when the scope of the project was small, they were willing and able to do an excellent job.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only area of improvement—and they did improve on it when we pointed it out a couple of times—was the turnover within different departments. Most agencies experience these types of problems, with people moving up or moving vertically, especially within the graphic design field. There were times when we felt like there was a slight loss of integrity, and we had to retrain people on rules, regulations, and guidelines.

There was a tremendous amount of regulations that we had to deal with because our clients were big financial institutions. We had to be extremely careful about performing within those guidelines. The rules that we had to adhere to were very stringent, so the stakes were high.

Thankfully, we were able to work with Jacob Tyler to create some documentation for new people. It only took a couple of instances of us noticing the problem until we resolved it. They were able to remedy it quickly once we identified the gap.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would let them know that Les is accessible even though he's an executive. Also, Jacob Tyler has great talent and resources, so make sure to utilize that. Know that you can trust them because they’re great partners. You definitely can count on them and their process.

**The Review** — Jul 22, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: Jacob Tyler excelled at meeting high site performance expectations, and their high-caliber work has garnered positive feedback. The team, including the CEO, was accessible and attentive. Their responsive nature complemented their efficient and organized professional management style.
"“I was blown away by the quality of their work.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an entrepreneur and small business owner. I’ve founded the SEAL Awards, an awards-driven environmental advocacy organization, and APPEALIE, a customer data-driven SaaS awards and insights platform.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

I initially hired Jacob Tyler to help me with APPEALIE’s logo design and branding.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Jacob Tyler oversaw the logo design process for APPEALIE. I had a meeting with a designer and account manager to discuss our goals, audience, and vision. We went through three rounds of logo design. They also designed and developed the APPEALIE website using WordPress.

When they finished all of the different design and branding tasks for APPEALIE, I was contemplating a new brand I wanted to launch: the SEAL Awards. I had significant aspirations for how the brand would evolve and the impact it could make, and I turned to Jacob Tyler to provide advice on how to position the brand. They helped me build the brand from scratch, including coming up with a company name. Jacob Tyler also developed the SEAL Awards website, once again using WordPress.

What is the team composition?

I worked with different teams depending on the project. For APPEALIE, I worked with an account manager and a graphic designer; for the SEAL Awards, I engaged with a 4–5-person team, which included Amy (VP, Operations and Project Management, Jacob Tyler). I even worked directly with Les (Co-Founder, CEO, and CCO, Jacob Tyler), who got involved in the naming process and proposed the brand name that we ultimately chose. For the websites, I worked with a web designer, copywriter, project manager, and some technical people.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I researched several vendors on Google and reviewed their websites and digital portfolios. I did a client intake process with Jacob Tyler that was smooth and professional, and then we had a good first meeting. I felt comfortable moving forward with them.

How much have you invested with them?

My initial bill for the logo design was around $10,000. Then, we combined the remainder of the APPEALIE and the SEAL Awards work into a larger contract that was about $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The APPEALIE project spanned September 2017–June 2018, and the SEAL Awards work was from November 2017–July 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we did the websites, I had high expectations in terms of site performance. I held Jacob Tyler to a high standard of what my Google PageSpeed and GTMetrix scores would be, and they were able to hit them.

The feedback I get on both brands from a design perspective is always very favorable. When one of my friends became CEO of a software company that had an old and tired brand, his first question to me was where I got my APPEALIE logo done; he wanted a logo just like it for his company.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Jacob Tyler was responsive, which was a very valuable part of the projects we did together. Everything was carefully assigned, and they always followed up on calls with the next steps. They used Basecamp to manage the project, which prevented messy email chains and helped keep the work organized; this was particularly key with the website design, when we often had fifteen issues to deal with at once. I could easily provide feedback, which Jacob Tyler got to the technical people so that they could make the appropriate changes and adjustments.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was blown away by the quality of their work. For each round of logo design, they’d present around 16 alternatives, and the majority of those would be excellent. Even the elements that didn’t make it to the final cut were really good. I went into the partnership with some skepticism since I’ve never engaged a full creative agency like Jacob Tyler before, but I very quickly saw the benefit of working with a true professional.

I was also pleasantly surprised at how accessible Jacob Tyler’s CEO was. Les has significant experience working with some of the biggest companies in San Diego, so I really appreciated the extra level of attention he gave us when he helped us come up with a brand name.

Finally, their responsiveness stood out. About a week ago, I tried logging onto my Google Analytics account to add a consultant to it and found that the account ownership had never been transferred away from Jacob Tyler. I sent an email to their customer service at 9:00 PM, heard back at 9:30, and had the issue resolved by 10:00. I was impressed that even though I’m not a paying client and haven’t been for two years, they still responded quickly.

Any advice for potential customers?

Do a good job communicating with them and give them context. For my two projects with them, I’m glad I spent time delivering a PowerPoint of relevant brands in the industry and what I wanted to accomplish. If you’re hiring someone of Jacob Tyler’s caliber, you should do everything you can to enable them; they can’t know your industry, company, or vision if you don’t tell them.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

At the time that I worked with Jacob Tyler, I was the SVP of marketing for the Ken Blanchard Companies.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We needed to redesign our website to accommodate a fairly complex product portfolio. My company already had a brand strategy and foundation, but we needed help in deploying them on our website. We wanted to express the brand hierarchy of our product line on the site.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

During the discovery process, I held in-house meetings with various stakeholders, conducted card-sorting exercises, and created the first wireframe. Jacob Tyler used this internal information to provide an outside perspective. The team leveraged our brand assets, library, and guidelines and extended them for the web. They helped us connect the B2B and B2C parts of our business. Jacob Tyler also created a navigation design and menu structure.

What is the team composition?

We engaged with a lead strategist, a creative director, and an analytics specialist.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I put out an RFP to local agencies in San Diego. Of the three agencies that we invited to present their work, Jacob Tyler seemed best-prepared and offered the most economical quote. They also took some creative risks that caught our attention.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from March–November 2013.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

By thinking through how different users would navigate the site, Jacob Tyler helped us accomplish meaningful improvements in visitor flow.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

We had in-person meetings since Jacob Tyler was local, but we mostly interacted over weekly calls. They did creative presentations during scheduled milestones, either by phone or virtual meeting. We used Basecamp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They created a web-based user journey with different personas in mind. Jacob Tyler maintained high standards for their creative work. The team strove to understand our business and test new ideas to add value and bring outside objectivity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Any advice for potential customers?

A client should think through what their goals are. They should also set expectations with internal stakeholders so that they have the proper context when Jacob Tyler presents their creative ideas.

**The Review** — May 16, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: Despite the complexity of the antiquated software and the wide-ranging scope of the project, Jacob Tyler satisfied the requirements and excelled at managing expectations. They communicated seamlessly.
"“Jacob Tyler is well-known in the design industry for going above and beyond and exceeding expectations.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing director at Typhon Group. We sell web-based software that collects data and tracks students in nursing and health education programs.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

My company was over twenty-years-old at the time, so much of our software was outdated and didn’t work with newer technologies, like phones and tablets. We needed to redesign our interface for both mobile and desktop environments and modify the software’s UX/UI. The challenge was updating the interface while maintaining the data we had in the system.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We held preliminary meetings to discuss our needs and map the project out. Jacob Tyler gathered information on what our needs were and what data students were entering into the system. Then, they optimized our software for the web. They also redesigned the UX/UI for mobile, desktop, and everything student-facing.

What is the team composition?

My team primarily engaged with Les (Co-Founder, CFO, and COO, Jacob Tyler). He worked closely with front- and backend developers to ensure that they integrated new designs with our existing software and data.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

Les is a long-time friend of mine. Jacob Tyler is well-known in the design industry for going above and beyond and exceeding expectations.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from May–November 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still rolling out the software since we’re handling several other redesigns and software updates. However, we’re very satisfied with the work that Jacob Tyler did for us.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Jacob Tyler fostered constant communication. We had weekly meetings with Jacob Tyler’s team, including Les. Somebody on their team kept track of conversations so that we could easily outline the project’s next steps. We used Basecamp to organize meeting notes and monitor things that needed to be changed or updated. We made great strides during these meetings; we were really pleased with how they managed the project and the progress that we made week-to-week. The team was attentive and provided frequent updates.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t think Jacob Tyler’s team initially understood the large scope of our project or the complicated software they’d be dealing with. They worked diligently to understand the software and our needs. If the need arises, I will definitely hire them again.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I didn’t see anything. Since they’re in California, we never had issues with time constraints. Also, Jacob Tyler was experiencing a bit of turnover at the time of our engagement, but they maintained open communication about this and made the project seamless. They got new team members up to speed quickly. I’m sure this was challenging for them, but they handled it well.

Any advice for potential customers?

Keep an open mind. When you’re working with a design company like Jacob Tyler, it’s important to give them everything they need and remain open to their ideas. Even when they propose a big change, remember that they’re the experts.

**Feedback Summary**: The team’s efforts continually yield exceptional results across the board. They always help to increase brand awareness and work diligently to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Jacob Tyler consistently contributes as a valuable partner, resource, and referral guide.
"“It’s a one-stop-shop, and if they don’t do it in-house, they have partners that can assist us.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the marketing manager at a sports nutrition company and am responsible for all aspects of branding, marketing and advertising efforts within the sports nutrition and everyday wellness/healthy aging markets.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Jacob Tyler?

We were in search of a partner that could support us in building a stronger brand identity with consumers within the sports nutrition market. Jacob Tyler was brought on to assist with messaging and digital marketing, including videos, landing pages and paid advertising.

What were your goals for this project?

Our desire was to increase brand awareness with consumers and sports nutrition brands alike, by educating them on the benefits of supplementing with the scientifically-proven dose of our patented product.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

My team searched online and via word-of-mouth conversations within our industry for branding agencies across the U.S. We narrowed the list of qualified contenders down to two and ultimately selected Jacob Tyler Agency, as they provided all of the services we were seeking at the time and it was a huge plus that they were based locally in San Diego.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Through a series of discovery meetings and calls, we worked in tandem to develop a branding and advertising strategy and SOW. This included messaging, creative concepts, digital tools such as videos and landing pages, social media, and paid online advertising.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The results have been very solid across the board. On Google Ads we’ve seen a 2-cent cost-per-view across our TrueView campaigns. We’ve also seen a 7-cent cost-per-click across our display campaigns; based on my knowledge and experience in the industry, these metrics are incredible.

One of the main goals of working with an agency like Jacob Tyler is to increase brand awareness. We launched our initial campaign in June 2017 to increase consumer brand awareness for our company; Jacob Tyler has been instrumental in enabling us to do so across social media, Google Ads, landing pages, sales collateral, and most recently our new website that set to be released in late September.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate very routinely via email. We have weekly status calls for both social media and account management in general, which shows how responsive their team is. We also work in their internal BaseCamp platform, which helps with a lot of the heavy files we transmit back and forth. Everyone on the team can see them, comment, and share the information.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We like that they have numerous services under one roof. It’s a one-stop-shop, and if they don’t do it in-house, they have partners that they work with that can assist with social media. For example, we just signed with their PR partner for a 90-day campaign. It’s nice to have referrals from a trusted word-of-mouth source and valued partners we can turn to.

Are there any areas for improvement?

While nothing is ever perfect, we’ve made a lot of gains, in terms of improving our collective communication skills, and sharing our input. If we, as the client have any thoughts or opinions, we’re able to come to a mutual understanding to make sure everyone is happy.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Communication is crucial. It’s important to make sure that everyone is on the same page as far as expectations. It can be a challenge for both sides to understand priorities. The routine check-in-calls we have are important, especially since we have so many projects going on at once with them; it helps us know we’re achieving our deadlines and our goals.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing manager at American National Investments. We invest in a variety of brands in different industries including retail, food & beverage, and corporate hospitality. Our company functions differently than the average investment company due to the vast number of brands and properties we serve.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

Our VP of marketing recently left the company, and we needed someone who specialized in marketing. We also needed an agency to deal with media relations and interface with our internal stakeholders.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Jacob Tyler was hired to audit our marketing team, looking into how our team functions and how they could supplement us from a strategic and organizational standpoint. For the past six months, Jacob Tyler has stepped into the VP of marketing role by guiding the team, conversating with executives, and supporting all things marketing.

Jacob Tyler provides feedback on a lot of marketing plans. They’ve built out our Q1 matrix, ran through our 2019 marketing goals, spearheaded organizational meetings, and assisted with competitor analysis and market research. Their team has also dealt with HR related issues. In my experience, I’ve never seen an agency work with this unique of a scope, helping with high-level concerns as well as day-to-day organizational structure.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with around four people in total but mainly deal with Les (CEO & Chief Creative Officer, Jacob Tyler) and Amy (VP of Operations & Project Management, Jacob Tyler). Amy acts as our VP of marketing and works with us day-to-day, while Les comes in with strategic and creative input.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I believe our CEO met Les at a networking event. They discussed our marketing needs and issues. Les came into the office and talked about what their team could potentially do for ours.

How much have you invested with them?

I would say around $100,000 or so.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Jacob Tyler in September 2018, and the engagement is ongoing. We recently hired a new senior director of marketing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Due to the uniqueness of our partnership, it’s difficult to measure any statistics. There’s been success in the organizational structure they’ve implemented for the marketing team and from the executive level. Amy has been an integral part of our team. She’s easy to work with. Les brings fantastic ideas to the table. Everyone, including the executive team, has enjoyed their insights and guidance.  They assisted with creating brand guidelines for one of our entities, and it was well-received from the entire company. Overall, the team has enjoyed Jacob Tyler’s presence and working with them.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team helped manage our current priorities. We work with a lot of brands. Jacob Tyler’s role is to guide which priorities, brands, and initiatives come first and let our executive level know what the team is working on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jacob Tyler has become an extension of our team, filling in a critical role. I’ve worked with agencies in the past, and it’s difficult sometimes to fully trust someone. I can truthfully say that this isn’t an issue with Jacob Tyler’s team. It’s a fantastic feeling to believe an agency truly and know that they have your best interests in mind. I’m incredibly grateful for them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so. We’ve worked on something different with them. I’ve never seen an agency involved in this scope of work. Jacob Tyler did what we requested and delivered the best service.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clients should make sure they have an idea of what they want. Our scope changed severely over the past couple of months, and their role morphed into something different. Even when you have to change a few things, make sure you understand your scope and what you’re signing up for.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the former advertising and marketing director for Stan Miller Yachts.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

At the time of the engagement, the company had been around for about 50 years, and it was not progressing in the way that we had hoped. We determined that our image was stale, and worked with Jacob Tyler to develop a new website and a new logo.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Jacob Tyler built a new website from scratch because we barely had one to speak of to begin with. I wrote all of the content and relied on their team to coordinate the design and the layout. They created a new logo for us and implemented it on all of our collateral and marketing materials. They also produced new advertisements and promotional items for boat shows.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

A friend of mine worked with Jacob Tyler at her company and recommended them after a job well done.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated mainly through emails, but we also met in person a few times. The owner was always very responsive to our needs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I had worked with other branding companies before Jacob Tyler, and none of them had the same initiative. Jacob Tyler’s responsiveness and transparency were the hallmarks of their service. Everything was structured well so that nothing fell through the cracks, which was critical with so many projects in motion at once. We also appreciated the team’s enthusiasm to take part in the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t pinpoint any needs for improvement.

**The Review** — Jan 29, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: The branding process was smooth from start to finish. The deliverables are produced in accordance to project guidelines and exceed expectations. Jacob Tyler’s unique expertise in the industry makes them a valuable asset and helped secure continued work between the teams.
""They understand our business’ language and what our customers want, which differentiates them from other vendors."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the COO of Planck Aerosystems. We build small, unmanned aircraft systems that operate from moving vehicles. Our clients are primarily government and industrial agencies looking for security and defense applications.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

Initially, we hired Jacob Tyler to help our branding efforts. We were struggling to create a messaging strategy that targeted our customers, potential partners, and future investors effectively.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

To begin the project, Jacob Tyler held an in-person discovery meeting so we could inform them about our business and overall goals. They interviewed several members of my team and our customers to glean feedback on our company’s value in the market. With this information, they formulated a formal proposal that included a set of key milestones, a budget, and schedule.

From there, they iterated several versions of a brand guide. This package included an overview of our company, our products, a positioning statement, a personality identification, and our key messages. Their team broke the approaches down into multiple categories to target more specific audiences, ranging from commercial customers to potential investors. They delivered the guide as a complete document to enable my team’s internal training efforts.

After wrapping up the messaging process, we began another project focused on product naming and other customer-facing items. They’re working on our logos, business cards, and other aspects of our visual identity.

What is the team composition?

Tom (Director of Creative Copy and Messaging, Jacob Tyler) is the lead for our projects. Marcela (Account Supervisor, Jacob Tyler) helps with the programming work. Les (CEO, Jacob Tyler) is our management contact and several others help organize meetings and answer questions.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

We used our network to find recommendations, as we wanted a team that had experience in our industry. We narrowed our list to three companies and brought them in for interviews. I liked that Jacob Tyler was local and they were the best fit for the project.

How much have you invested with them?

Including both projects, we’ve spent between $30,000–$35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on the branding efforts from October–November 2018. The engagement is continuing with the second project.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have any external metrics, so the way we measure Jacob Tyler’s success is through deliveries. They’ve delivered everything on time and within our budget, which perfectly fulfills our expectations.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They manage the project well. One of the initial traits I appreciated about Jacob Tyler was their great responsiveness. They use BaseCamp to communicate and share documents between our teams. They’re always ready to take my call and solve any issue. Their division of labor is very clear, so I know who to reach out to for any of my needs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their experience working with industrial and government-facing companies is valuable to us. They understand our business’ language and what our customers want, which differentiates them from other vendors.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their only limitation may be the smallness of their firm, but it works perfectly for my team and is a great fit.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Not only were they approachable, but they also provided honest feedback and guidance. I particularly appreciated how quickly they responded to our inquiries.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a bit clearer about how much time it takes to print deliverables.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**

We didn’t have a social media presence or strong SEO. We hired them to help with our overall online presence, which included a video and some email marketing strategies.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
They did a study of our company and our competitors during a discovery process. Once they figured out our goals, they built a proposal of what they could offer us in terms of email marketing, a video, social media work, and our SEO. They also created our landing page and content for our blog.
What is the team composition?

We’ve spent between $75,000–$100,000.

We had almost no followers before this collaboration. Our social media presence has increased and we have much more of a following than we did. Interacting with our base is much easier now.
How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is good, and they’re very communicative. We have a weekly call and manage everything through Basecamp.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their responsiveness is great. With any outsourcing or marketing project, it’s important to have good interactions with your vendors. Whenever we have issues or problems, they’re very good about solving them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not really; they do a good job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I don't have any specific advice for future clients. They're easy to work with.

**Feedback Summary**: Internal stakeholders praise Jacob Tyler’s creative materials for their ability to convey key messages in an impactful way. The team is ready to tackle any challenge and is passionate about their craft. Open communication and impressive branding skills have helped secure a long-term engagement.
"“They have a nothing-is-impossible attitude and always strive to surpass our expectations.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and president of BIOS Lighting (Biological Innovation and Optimization Systems). We specialize in R&D for biologically related lighting that corrects for or responds to biological systems such as people, plants, and animals.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

Because we’re doing something that’s new and unique in the lighting industry, we needed an agency that could help us create and define our market. We wanted to be able to effectively communicate our marketing message while also educating relevant stakeholders to purchase our products.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Jacob Tyler spent a significant amount of time learning about our industry and company, since they were unfamiliar with our market. They then distilled all of our conversations into an extensive brand essence document, highlighting who we are, what makes us unique, and how our passion translates into our work. After we went over and refined the document, they used it as a roadmap for our marketing approach.

The team developed a new look and feel for our brand, updating our logo, refreshing the design language for our collateral, and generating brand guidelines to lead our efforts moving forward. Currently, they’re converting all of our old materials to meet the new standards, utilizing our revamped marketing and branding language to convey information in a more powerful way.

What is the team composition?

Les (CEO, Jacob Tyler) has been my main point of contact, but we also have frequent check-ins with Kate (Account Director, Jacob Tyler).

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I found them through Clutch. When we briefly opened an office in the San Diego area, I was unfamiliar with any of the local agencies, so I used Clutch as a resource. I started with five agencies, narrowed the list down to three, and then interviewed the candidates.

How much have you invested with them?

By the end of 2018, we’ll have spent just under $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Their work started in April 2018 and is ongoing. We foresee this to be a long-term relationship.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still at the foundational level, so it’s too early to see any metrics. However, Jacob Tyler’s deliverables have consistently exceeded expectation. The team enjoys what they do, and it shows in our interaction; we’re just two passionate groups that work well together.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

The project managers do a great job, coordinating everything through Basecamp so that all projects are visible at any given time. Communication is also transparent. We have ongoing meetings to discuss project status, and they inform us in advance if there are delays or schedule changes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a nothing-is-impossible attitude and always strive to surpass our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything that’s been a challenge so far. I’ve been very impressed.

**The Review** — Oct 18, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: The new brand has garnered overwhelming praise and pride from internal stakeholders. Jacob Tyler’s holistic approach allowed them to deeply understand internal needs and goals. Despite the extra steps, the team delivered high-quality tangibles with speed and efficiency and at a great value.
""We chose Jacob Tyler because they showed great care and attention to detail from the get-go."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a mobile-based ad agency. We use machine learning and artificial intelligence to perform media buying for programmatic advertising in the mobile ad space.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

Since 2004, our company has operated as an online business. However, we’ve pivoted into the mobile market and now offer services like data science and analytics. We hired Jacob Tyler to help modernize our website as well as our corporate branding and strategy to better represent what we offer to potential clients.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We first met with senior management and gave them a sense of where we came from and where we wanted to go. We initially thought the team would focus only on frontend aspects such as our brand’s look and feel, but Jacob Tyler instead took a holistic approach to the discovery process. They interviewed members of our team and worked to deeply understand our identity, story, and goals for the future. They then created an image and overall brand appearance that represented our aspirations. After that, they quickly implemented new products: a new logo, design elements, media kits, and an updated website.

What is the team composition?

I worked primarily with Les (CEO & Chief Creative Officer, Jacob Tyler), who led a larger team.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

We found them through an online search. However, Les and I also happened to belong to a mutual business organization and connected there. We chose Jacob Tyler over other agencies because they showed great care and attention to detail from the get-go. While all the agencies we vetted had excellent portfolios, Jacob Tyler took the time to deeply understand our business—both its past and its future. Their holistic approach impressed us and distinguished them from the competition.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $50,000–$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them between July 2017—February 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before we engaged Jacob Tyler, our image had undergone so many revisions that the brand became diluted. Jacob Tyler helped us create a uniform brand identity that our company can rally behind. A few subtle changes by Jacob Tyler have boosted team morale and cooperation dramatically. We’re now proud to put the company name on the side of our office building.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team demonstrated excellent organization and efficiency; everyone had a clear role to play. Also, because they thoroughly study a business beforehand, Jacob Tyler can accelerate a project and develop and deliver products quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their sophisticated style and substantive client list speak for themselves, but what stands out to me is the company itself. Jacob Tyler has developed a brand, culture, and leadership team that I can believe in and associate my company with. For years, I’ve thought their company employed far more people than it actually does because of the work they’ve done. They have a clean and polished presentation, a good focus, and a well-organized team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

One element I look for in a vendor is whether they have a lot of experience in mobile app development. Jacob Tyler’s portfolio, while impressive, doesn’t make it clear or obvious if they’ve done app development, which might dissuade potential clients in the mobile sphere. However, Jacob Tyler still outshone the competition in our initial meeting, and we’ve been very satisfied with their results.

Their team of creative professionals constructed an innovative marketing campaign that entices valuable clients. The website now receives more traffic than ever before. They’re reliable, experienced, and charming.
"“They’re basically a part of our company’s ecosystem now.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the vice president of Dynamik, Inc. We’re a wholesale distributor of industrial electrical products. Some of the many products we supply include solar photovoltaic system equipment, electric vehicle charging stations, and automation controls.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We needed a marketing firm knowledgeable of the best practices for our industry to develop and execute an extensive marketing plan.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We held two discovery meetings with Jacob Tyler where they analyzed the relevant aspects of our brand. They later performed a thorough presentation on our company and walked us through their recommendations for the marketing plan. They made this process fun, engaging, and facilitated an environment that let our team participate in the creative portions of the project. Their recommendations included website design, a reimagining of our branding materials, and an internet marketing strategy. Once they laid out our options, we scheduled another discovery meeting to discuss the project’s proper scope.

Jacob Tyler delivered a brand positioning storyline and messaging guidelines to identify how Dynamik will present itself. These products were integrated with our company’s core values. Next, they designed a new logo and tagline for marketing purposes. Then, they redesigned our website and coded new elements for it. This process included implementing the on-site SEO by building backlinks into the site’s infrastructure.

We’re currently working with Jacob Tyler to put together the landing pages for our email marketing campaign and they’re managing a launch video we plan to release. Additionally, they’ve established our email marketing and Ad Words campaigns. We’re also bringing them in to oversee our PR projects. Finally, they’re running our social media accounts on an ongoing basis.

What is the team composition?

I primarily work with Les (CEO, Jacob Tyler), but he’s got a decently sized team. I’m not sure how many people work on our account.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

We spoke with three other companies but valued Jacob Tyler’s experience with a few of our clients. However, the real deciding factor was the energy they brought to the table. They were extremely excited about the project that’s what separated them from the other candidates.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $150,000 thus far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started with them in March 2018 and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The number of hits our website receives has increased exponentially. We were getting close to zero traffic before, but now the site’s attracting unique visitors like crazy. Jacob Tyler’s work has allowed us to contact multiple clients that we haven’t been able to reach in the past. Clients are few and far between in our industry, so engaging with as little as three new contacts is considered a significant success.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re professional, entertaining, and fantastic at managing numerous projects at once. They’re basically a part of our company’s ecosystem now. If we needed to hire an internal marketing resource, we’d want to hire someone that could mirror Jacob Tyler’s approach.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their creativity is infectious. Our team isn’t that creative, but Jacob Tyler brought it out of us and led some awesome brainstorming sessions. It was a fun process to participate in and it changed how our office operates. Their deliverables made our brand pop in ways we didn’t expect.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They aren’t experts on everything, so they subcontracted our social media and PR efforts. However, those firms have been wonderful as well, so I can’t complain. They do their job and bring the right people to the project.

Direct contact with, and work by, Jacob Tyler executives not only expedited completion and enhanced the project creatively, but also demonstrated a vested interest in long-term outcomes and customer needs.
""I’m confident we'll soon be able to see the growth that the new website is bringing the company."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm a client care specialist for Circadia by Dr. Pugliese. As a physician-formulated skincare company, we manufacture and retail products at wholesale cost to licensed estheticians, nurses, and doctors. I do a lot of the marketing projects for the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

I originally approached them to redesign our website. In particular, we needed to make the site mobile-friendly.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

My initial conversations were with Les (CEO, Jacob Tyler). He explained what their company does and how they could help us with our website. Then he introduced us to his hand-picked team, based on our project and their expertise. We started with discovery calls, which evolved into mapping out the project. Then they started to actually work in the design. In addition to being responsive, the new site will allow for online ordering. The new site is scheduled to launch at the end of this month. We’re in the last stages of the project, combing through everything to make sure it’s going to work properly.

We’ve also expanded the scope of the partnership beyond the website. We're also using them for broader marketing purposes. They’re taking pictures of our products, giving us feedback on designs, and consulting on different ways that we can grow the brand.

What is the team composition?

I work with several members of their team. My main point person is the project manager.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I first met the Jacob Tyler team a couple of years ago at a conference. We were presenting our skincare line to estheticians, and they were presenting on the growth of the industry. We’d been working with a web developer for 10 years since the launch of our original website. However, it was clear that Les had a different way of looking at digital trends. We decided to use them because of their knowledge and expertise in marketing.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent close to $50,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

I believe we first started talking in October 2016, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

While we don’t have any analytics yet, I’m confident we'll soon be able to see the growth that the new website is bringing the company. I've presented the new design and layout to our entire team and it’s received excellent reviews. The online shopping functionality is particularly exciting because our old site was really behind trends in the market. Our entire team is looking forward to its launch.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management structure works really well for us. Our main project manager has been great at keeping us on track. We’re getting a new project manager this week. The transition has been very smooth, and we’ve already started to schedule weekly calls. Their whole team is super organized. I’m in constant communication with them. Someone on their team always has an answer to my questions, and they’re open to my feedback or suggestions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciate that I have direct communication and contact with Les. He’s always reachable via text—no matter the time of day—for any question that I have. It’s really rare to have that kind of access to the CEO, and that personal relationships has been awesome. Also, they're really transparent about what they will deliver.

**The Review** — Aug 27, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Jacob Tyler’s efforts helped significantly increase overall revenue. The team’s consistent communication, level of creativity, and collaborative approach to the project assured they met expectations and goals for the engagement.
"“The delivered materials were unique and really captured our company’s culture.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the president of R3 Consultants. We’re a sales and consumer service training and consulting organization that helps companies improve their internal communication.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

Originally, our website didn’t reflect our skill set or our capabilities and we didn’t have a very strong digital presence. Because we work with a lot of high-profile clients, we decided to rebrand and improve our website with strategies to increase online visibility.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a series of deep-dive meetings to define our company values and desired voice. Using those discussions, Jacob Tyler drafted several different brand profiles for our website and our overall identity. Once we decided on the direction best suited for our company, their team built a new website from scratch. They created a logo and a corresponding style guide, company manual, and other marketing collateral.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact was the CEO, but we also worked with a project manager.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I tasked my VP with searching online for a marketing agency with a good digital presence. From my perspective, if an agency can establish their own online visibility, they can do it for me as well. My VP found Jacob Taylor and scheduled an initial meeting. When I entered the room, I found that their CEO was a friend from the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, a nonprofit that we both support. We ultimately chose them based on their marketing capabilities, the friendship was just an added bonus.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $150,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July–October 2015.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The added layer of visibility we get from our website has generated an estimated $4 million in top-line revenue for our company.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

We tracked the project through Basecamp and their team was excellent. At one point, I actually asked them to turn off notifications because they were sending so many updates. There was constant communication throughout the engagement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was very impressed with their level of creativity and communication. I don’t have very much technical experience, so Jacob Tyler effectively discussed the project on my level, which I really appreciated. Additionally, they were extremely receptive to feedback and made changes with minimal pushback.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We fell behind schedule a few times. It wasn’t a huge problem, but they failed to let us know why there was a delay. I would’ve liked them to be more proactive in alerting us to possible obstacles.

**The Review** — Jul 24, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Projects have been universally well-received. The Jacob Tyler team has integrated seamlessly with existing workflows and emphasizes a collaborative approach to achieve high-quality results. They’re willing to work within limited budgets when necessary, and do so without sacrificing quality.
"“I’ve had no complaints throughout our two-year partnership.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of HyperTrends Global Inc., a full-service software development company. I also serve as a virtual CTO for about three different startups in the San Diego area.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

With all the technical products that we build, we’re always looking for local design companies that can help us create UX/UI design guidelines and brand strategies.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked on many projects together, but two very large projects come to mind. The first was called Spledger, which is a fundraising platform we developed in 2016. The other was a complex mobile application that we built for iOS and Android. In both of these projects, I was functioning as a virtual CTO for the companies that were looking to build the products, and Jacob Tyler was our design partner.

On the fundraising project, our teams worked together to establish product guidelines. The client initially had a very limited budget, but after we presented design ideas and basic mockups, they expanded it significantly. After development, they hired us on retainer and we developed several smaller projects.

When we work with Jacob Tyler, we provide a design budget based on the specifics of the project and work fairly closely with them to develop the brand, logos, videos, color palettes, and additional design materials. We also occasionally provide more detailed wireframes and specifications depending on the client’s preferences. We have a very close professional relationship with them across both individual projects and the startups that I work as CTO for.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with several team members in the past, but I primarily work with Les (CEO & Chief Creative Officer, Jacob Tyler), who then delegates to members of his team. They have a deep understanding of branding strategy, which is apparent in their portfolio. They’ve done some very large projects, and it was clear that their workflow would mesh well with ours.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

They came highly recommended from colleagues of ours that had worked with them in the past.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $300,000 over the course of the partnership. Initial budgets per project rarely exceed $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2016, and they’ve been our design partner ever since. We were working on the fundraising platform for about a year and a half with them, while the iOS/Android app took between nine months and a year.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we launched the iOS application on the App Store, it was quickly rated very highly with a great deal of positive feedback on the user interface. As for the fundraising platform, the designs assets and markups that they provided were crucial in securing an investment of $500,000 from the client, which we were very happy with.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project managers work with theirs when we take on projects together, and it’s been a very seamless workflow. We would work together in the same office for many projects, which facilitated the whole process. It felt less like project management for our teams, and more of a smooth collaboration in completing the projects together.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have in-depth experience in both digital design and print marketing, which is very difficult to find in a web design studio. When we do our brochures and collateral for trade shows, they’ve been incredibly useful. That was one of the factors that originally led us to work with them.

Jacob Tyler’s effective digital marketing services have generated a significant increase in site traffic and sales. They fully absorbed the purpose and goals of the project and delivered terrific results within a tight deadline.
"“Their team understood our objective and crafted a practical brand solution to introduce our new product to the market.”

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We design, manufacture and sell wearable exoskeletons that help reduce fatigue and improve the productivity of factory workers. I am a co-founder of the company and the vice president of marketing and business development.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We wanted to establish our online presence before putting our product on the market. A full-service digital marketing agency is what we needed to lay the groundwork for our brand.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We didn’t have an IT provider, so we needed Jacob Tyler to build a new website. They developed the site’s front- and backend and integrated SEO best practices to improve our online visibility. Their team flawlessly incorporated the new branding concepts and key messaging into the website and marketing collateral, which includes brochures and user manuals for our conferences and exhibits.

What is the team composition?

The account manager is our primary point of contact.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

We interviewed five local digital marketing agencies, and Jacob Tyler was the best fit for our project’s scope and budget.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $75,000--$100,000 for their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on the first project in July 2016, and they completed everything within two months. They provide ongoing SEO and online marketing for us.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The moment we launched the new website, our existing customers and vendors called us to compliment the site. We receive similar praise for the brochures and manuals they designed. Regarding their digital marketing efforts, site traffic has dramatically increased. Increased visibility has also yielded a tremendous growth in sales.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They had a challenging scope of work and a limited time frame, but they worked diligently to keep both teams on track to meet the deadline. Their responsiveness was outstanding throughout the entire project and an integral factor in our success.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We essentially created a new product category when we invented our one-of-a-kind technology. Jacob Tyler didn’t have the luxury of drawing inspiration from similar brands, but their team understood our objective and crafted a practical brand solution to introduce our new product to the market.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had an excellent experience working with Jacob Tyler, and we wouldn't change anything they've done for us.

**Feedback Summary**: Jacob Tyler's efforts have helped the company achieve recognition within the industry in a short time frame. They continue to be a valued partner, taking the time to thoroughly understand the business and to be responsive to client needs throughout the relationship.
"“They've taken the time to get to know us and understand what differentiates us from others to best promote our work.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the executive vice president and an account manager for a company that provides furnished accommodations for corporations around the world.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We needed help developing our website when we launched the company about eight years ago, as well as some supplemental collateral (i.e., brochures, business cards).

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We collaborated with Jacob Tyler's team on branding, including brainstorming tag lines and slogans. They designed and developed the website and our app, along with a brochure that was several pages long, a PowerPoint, business cards, and other collateral. They've designed ads that target our clientele that have been used in publications and programs for conferences, as well as our trade show booth. They'll also be working on a refresh of the brand with a new logo, booth, PowerPoint, and business card design soon.

What is the team composition?

We mostly worked directly with Les (CEO and Chief Creative Officer, Jacob Tyler). Over the years, we've worked with various account managers and creative directors as well.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I'm not sure how we originally found them, but their offices are just a few blocks apart from ours, which made it convenient to set up meetings and brainstorming sessions.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around the Fall of 2010 and the relationship is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Jacob Tyler's design efforts certainly helped us achieve a high level of recognition immediately. In the year we launched, we received a Tower of Excellence Award within one of our industry associations.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Les is very responsive. He's been known to turn around design work with little notice within 48 hours. They've been a great partner overall and are good at prioritizing our needs and being flexible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like having direct access to the owner of the company. I feel like we're not only able to have very candid conversations, but that their team is also invested in learning about our business in order to deliver the best outcomes. They've taken the time to get to know us and understand what differentiates us from others to best promote our work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They're great on the creative and production side of things, but lacking a little bit on the technical side of projects, which they outsource. However, that's not the core function of their services.

**Feedback Summary**: The show displays and promotional materials crafted by Jacob Tyler distinguish the company from competitors and make a positive impression on high-profile clients. The agency makes valuable recommendations, responds to questions at any time of day, and establishes a flexible workflow.
""They are very responsive and personable...They are easy to work with."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the director of marketing for a biometrics company that works on iris recognition.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We were a fairly new spin-off from a larger technology company, and needed help with branding.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Jacob Tyler to help us with our company branding initiatives. Initially, we had a kick-off meeting to discuss our priorities and pinpoint where we needed the most help. This morphed into them helping to develop our branding standards guide, giving us a look and feel for the company, and studying the platform to learn what our company was all about.

From there, we delved into graphic design. They took the branding standards guide and created some visuals that would go along with the company for trade show booths, advertisements, and the videos they created for one of our new product launches. It was an all-encompassing digital and media strategy.

What is the team composition?

We worked with their CEO and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

While looking for a full PR and creative partner, we sent out an RFP to a couple of agencies. The PR agency that we signed on with partnered with Jacob Tyler rather than developing graphics themselves. We got them by default, which was very seamless.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent approximately $100k. Since they're a high-end agency, there is a little more cost involved. It was hard to quantify to senior management, but you get what you pay for. It's worth it in the long run.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in November 2017, and the work is ongoing. Right now, they’re our agency of record for graphics and multi-media.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we’re in the biometrics industry, a lot of very high-profile clients and companies are looking for our solutions. At a recent tradeshow, a perspective client commented on the caliber of our booth presence compared to our competitors. That was very flattering since we’re a young company. We couldn’t have done it without Jacob Tyler's work creating such a beautiful backdrop and stage to tell our story.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform very well. We have a standing call each week since we’re working on multiple projects at the same time. My main point of contact is wonderful, proactive, and reactive. I can call her on nights and weekends. She is very conscious of our repositioning needs, since we're still a new company. They are very flexible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I have worked with a lot of different graphics agencies, and I really feel that this is more than just a business to them. They help and make suggestions. Some companies just come in, get a retainer, and receive their monthly fee. You don’t hear much from them and there isn’t much interaction.

At Jacob Tyler, they are very responsive and personable. We have gotten to know them and feel very comfortable with them, both on the phone and in person. They are easy to work with, which is one of the highlights. They call it like they see it and tell you why choices are good or bad.

""I speak very highly of Jacob Tyler when anyone asks who made our website."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing and communications manager for San Diego Pride. Our mission is fostering pride, equality, and respect for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. I oversee all incoming and outgoing messaging for the organization.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We had a decaying website that needed a lot of maintenance. It wasn't doing what we needed in terms of conveying our message. It really focused on the annual parade and festival, and not our year-round civic engagement.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided backend development as well as the frontend design for a new WordPress site. The design and the layout, as well as the architecture of the site, was created to highlight our organization. We’re unique in that we have one big annual event, and many small events. They created an Events page that we use as a calendar to highlight the smaller events throughout the year. The programs page is really robust; it includes our various departments, as well as our education and outreach avenues.

What is the team composition?

I worked mainly with a project manager.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

They were on our target list as a top agency here in San Diego. Our director of development led the search and put out bids. Jacob Tyler came back with the most detailed, comprehensive proposal.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place from January–May 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site has only been live for a few weeks, so we haven't looked at the full metrics yet. However, we have seen an increase in ticket sales. We averaged 4–5 tickets sold around this time last year. Right now, we're seeing 18–25 tickets sold. It's a much higher conversion rate. We did a big press release the week after it launched, and we’ve had glowing reviews of the new site. All of the reviews agree that it’s much cleaner, more beautiful and robust compared to the old site.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

The team is great. Their communication was seamless. They’re always on point and quick. They use a variety of tools and software for web processes or submitting tickets for bugs. They were flexible about scheduling meetings based on our availability. They made things very easy for us. Even after the site launched, they've been responsive and haven't fallen off the radar.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their level of expertise gave us confidence throughout the project. They’re able to work with people who may not know much about websites. They never simply gave in to what we wanted; they provided advice on what we should do. The way they laid out the site allows us to better tell our full story, and leverage the size of our organization to help smaller nonprofit organizations. I speak very highly of Jacob Tyler when anyone asks who made our website.

""I appreciate that they got the job done and remained personable while doing it."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a project manager for a real estate investment company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

Our website was outdated and we needed a development firm to assist a redesign effort.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Once the project began, we had a kickoff meeting with Jacob Tyler to help them understand how our company works and what we’d be comfortable with design-wise. We discussed the timeline and they were upfront with expressing their concerns. I appreciated that they didn’t sell us on something they couldn’t deliver.

There were various deliverable points where they showed us mock-ups of different website pages. A month and a half before the site was supposed to launch, they delivered a beta version of the site to demonstrate its functionalities. Unfortunately, the other development team responsible for integrating a custom system didn’t start their portion of the project early enough. As a result, they held Jacob Tyler back from launching the site as scheduled. Currently, the site is online and we’re working out some minor issues. We’re happy with the experience and are planning future updates with them.

What is the team composition?

Andrew (Account Director, Jacob Tyler) was our primary point of contact. I also had regular conversations with Les (CEO, Jacob Tyler) where he called to confirm everything was going okay. We’ve also interacted with their head designer and other various resources.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I initially reached out to a handful of development firms to discuss the general cost of the project and gauge the achievability of our proposed schedule. I invited several vendors to bid for the project, but we ultimately selected Jacob Tyler. They offered the best price and made an effort to understand an existing system to be integrated into the website. Proactively engaging our challenges put them a step ahead of the other companies we considered.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent a little over $60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2017 and the website launched in April 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our company isn’t very forward thinking when it comes to utilizing new technology. Jacob Tyler tried to pull us into the current century by increasing the web traffic on our site. However, all of our investment funds come from private investors. We don't try to attract new investors to our website because it’s not necessary. Instead, we want people to have a positive experience when interacting with our brand online. The internal response has been positive as my colleagues have praised the site’s fresh and modern appearance. We didn’t realize how dated our old website was until we saw the new one.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They're organized, they never reschedule meetings, and they stick to the tasks at hand. Andrew was our dedicated project manager and he was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was responsive whenever we had questions and could explain tech-related topics to people not well-versed in web development. He effectively collaborated with the various parties needed to make the project happen. Nothing fell through the cracks and every member of their team seemed focused on the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The employees of Jacob Tyler seem genuinely happy to be there. No one likes working for a company that isn’t run correctly, so seeing a happy and engaged staff gave us the confidence to hire them. I appreciate that they got the job done and remained personable while doing it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had some frustrations during the final days and weeks before the launch date. I’m not a web developer, so I had difficulty providing the login information to our hosting platform. As it turns out, the hosting platform we were using was the wrong type. Their use of an outside consultant might've caused some of that confusion during the final stages of the project. Ultimately, they delivered on what was promised.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Jacob Tyler will deliver an amazing end product, as will others. So if you are choosing between several developers of good repute, choose the one whose personality suits your work approach best. They're a more relaxed company, so if you're looking for people who wear suits every day, Jacob Tyler probably isn't the team you'll feel most comfortable with. However, if you want a group of people who you can have a casual conversation with between meetings, you'll be very happy working with them.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the CEO and owner of POTENTE, a Professional Law Corporation.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

About nine years ago, the relationship between my business partner and I was terminated, so I was looking to do a complete rebrand of the company.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I had several in-depth meetings with their team over the course of a couple months initially. Before we discussed branding, it was important to their team to fully understand our business. Once they felt they grasped our mission, goals, and the types of clients we have, they started designing our website and provided a lot of creative direction as needed. They designed our logo, color schemes, and marketing collateral (i.e., business cards, letterhead, signage). They even sourced the exact color of paint for our office that was chosen for our color scheme.

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with Les (CEO, Jacob Tyler), but my employees worked with others on their team as well.

How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?

I asked other colleagues for recommendations and interviewed a few of Jacob's previous clients. Based on those references, I decided to meet with them and I immediately liked their creative energy and culture.

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested between $50,000–$60,00 over the years.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2010 and although the rebranding effort was completed by the following year, we continue to work together on various design projects.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've received a lot of positive feedback on the website and overall branding from colleagues and clients alike.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team operates very efficiently and executes quickly on our requests. They're one of the best service providers we work with. By providing additional creative input, it felt as if we hired a genuine partner to help us build a sustainable brand. Unlike other design firms, Jacob works to build truly organic relationships with their customers, which is why we continue to work with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm most impressed by their creative energy. They have a way of branding that sets you apart, because they themselves are truly unique and talented.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything. We've been working with them for almost a decade and I've never had a problem.

CarnoSyn is a nutritional workout supplement that helps athletes see better results from their strength-building routines. Their two products are banned-substance-free and are scientifically proven to help build muscle, an easy value proposition for potential customers. Through partnerships with a variety of supplement brands, products with CarnoSyn’s ingredients are available widely nationwide and online.
Jacob Tyler serves as an integrated design and marketing partner, working closely with the CarnoSyn® team. Together, we produced multiple digital campaigns that included website landing pages, message development, video production, media buying strategies and a robust social media campaign. Each campaign was focused on educating the fitness enthusiast and athlete audience on the benefits, uses and proper dosing of CarnoSyn®, and generating leads for retailers that sell the product as part of their sports nutrition formulas. The campaigns were wildly successful, making CarnoSyn® a known name in the fitness world.

### Helping an $800,000,000 company tell its story
https://www.helixelectric.com/
Helix Electric tasked Jacob Tyler to completely revamp their brand messaging and positioning, develop a new tagline, and enhance their design and user experience online. Our focus was to create an experience and story that showcased their company culture, values, and quality of their work.
Helix Electric had not updated their brand in more than a decade. Jacob Tyler met with Helix’s leadership group to kickoff what we become a complete brand refresh—and a brand story and messaging that reflects who the company really is. We were tasked with creating the new brand messaging and story, conducting market research, and determining the direction of a flexible and scalable website for the company. Our goal was to re-introduce Helix Electric to the market as a company that had already earned a strong reputation, and to showcase its innovative approach and solutions to generate brand awareness for both potential employees and potential customers.

### Optimizing User Experience to Increase Conversion
Dexcom’s agency—Cofa Media—tapped Jacob Tyler to help revamp the corporate website to showcase the company’s flagship products and enhance the overall user experience to drive engagement. Dexcom’s Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems take glucose measurements at regular intervals, 24 hours a day, and translate the readings into dynamic data, generating glucose direction and rate of change, providing critical information to help patients make treatment decisions.
Dexcom’s website required a design direction that would create a linear flow for users to review the product line, technology, and benefits. The site also needed to scale easily for new product launches and daily content updates. Lastly, the product line needed to be shown in a way that would catch a visitor’s attention and made them want to learn more about the company and its products.
acob Tyler employs a mobile first strategy for all Website UX/UI projects, as the majority of users search on mobile. However, Dexcom’s data showed virtually equally user engagement and visits through both desktop and mobile platforms. Thus, equal care was taken to create a cohesive experience on all devices to enable enhanced click-through and overall engagement.

### NuVasive - Brand, Packaging, and Web Design
https://www.nuvasive.com
We began with a brand identity refresh, which included a brand standards guide, associated collateral signage, and website design and development.
Ultimately, we extended our work to envelope NuVasive’s community-focused “The Better Way Back” program, their charity, NuVasive Spine Foundation™ and SOLAS – a support initiative for surgeons. Each of these efforts now feed back into the larger umbrella of the NuVasive brand, collectively strengthening the story of who NuVasive is and why they are the leader in spinal surgery solutions.
By delivering cohesive messages across all channels, we successfully brought together a total brand package for the NuVasive narrative that continually reaffirmed their brand’s value in the minds of target audiences.
For Website design & development, we created a modern look for their web experience, focusing on NuVasive’s solutions, their history, vision and future goals. We designed the site to be a central platform from which, their other initiatives, like “The Better Way Back,” NuVasive Spine Foundation and SOLAS, could branch out.
Since we teamed with NuVasive, the company has established itself as a leader in spinal solutions. They were named one of the fastest-growing companies on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list in North America. Their fourth-quarter revenue rose 15.1 percent compared to the previous year, and their fourth-quarter net income reached $6 million compared with a loss of $2.8 million one year earlier. With numbers like that – and some help from Jacob Tyler – the NuVasive brand is thriving.
Jacob Tyler won 7 creative awards for NuVasive as their Agency of Record.

### iTan - Rebranding a Successful SoCal Franchise
https://itan.com/
As is often the case with a franchise-based organization, iTAN found their brand was becoming increasingly fragmented across its many independently operated locations. Without consistency in how brand messages were being disseminated at the retail store level, their identity was suffering and consumer loyalty was low.
iTAN was in need of a new unified brand to reestablish and reconnect itself to its consumers. Founder Faraje Kharsa turned to us to lead all marketing efforts for the company, and we, in turn, delivered a comprehensive marketing strategy that would ultimately fortify their brand from the online user experience to their in-store customer experience. To pull the brand together, we revamped their web presence, designed their in-store experience with collateral and signage, and launched an entirely new menu, upping offerings to a higher value for a lifetime customer. We generated a comprehensive tool kit for franchisees to manage the iTAN brand for the long-term, and handled the grand openings for new stores as they opened. As brand cohesion began to develope, we elevated iTAN’s value above its competition, we set our sights on driving total revenue through new iCLUB memberships.

Offering customers a distinct interactive experience is at the heart of forward-thinking brands. We designed all of iTAN’s online elements to connect with the consumer and their lifestyle. This entailed transitioning iTAN’s rather static site to a fresher, more dynamic one, which featured sliders with call-out boxes, social integration and a blog feed.

After launch iTan saw a 27% growth in iClub memberships, 476% increasse in social brand engagement, and a decreased bounce rate of 34%... thus more overall Website engagement.

### E-commerce for skincare science
https://www.circadia.com/
Circadia skincare products are based on the skin and body’s natural circadian rhythms. Using this science, Circadia was a pioneer of bringing circadian science to the wellness industry. Founded in 2001, their products are available exclusively to licensed skincare professionals through their website.

CHALLENGE: Circadia has a very large catalog of skincare products, each with different expected benefits based on circadian science. Each product needed to be easily accessible to existing B2B customers who are familiar with the offerings, as well as clearly explaining the benefits and research that has made Circadia a trusted brand for nearly two decades. SOLUTION: In order to make an extremely large (and scientific) website seem simple, we organized the products into a single navigation item and placed informative pages about product ingredients and circadian science at the same hierarchy. Product pages were designed to be informative landing pages about the same benefits without having to dive as deep into the science, allowing customers to make quick and easy decisions and maximizing conversions.

### Rebuilding a four billion dollar brand
Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors is one of the top wealth management firms in Southern California. As one of the first “fiduciary” firms in the country, D&Y built a strong reputation on trust and doing what was right for their clients. Some years later, many other financial firms followed suit and became fiduciaries themselves. And while D&Y still had a strong hold on their market in SoCal, new competition was moving in, prompting D&Y to approach Jacob Tyler for a brand and messaging refresh to help the company stay a step ahead of the competition.
Jacob Tyler created a fresh new look and feel for the brand, without making major changes to the logo, since the company had built significant brand equity. We designed an entire new business suite, including letterhead and cards, and an exquisite brand brochure that would be the signature leave-behind piece when meeting with prospective clients.
Jacob Tyler worked hand in hand with the D&Y team to develop new brand messaging that highlighted the firm’s differentiation from its competition and appealed to the emotional aspects of financial planning. Rather than talk about what the firm does, we developed prospect-focused messaging that described the results from solid wealth management—a better future, an easy retirement, and peace of mind. This new brand messaging was deployed via the brand brochure, new website and through all brand communications efforts.
Jacob Tyler reimagined what a financial services website could and should look like—client focused, personalized for audiences, an intuitive U/X—and got to work. Working with the D&Y team to dig deep on customer journeys, we designed and developed a brand-new website that personified the firm’s ethos—and created clear pathways that prompted prospective clients to learn, be inspired and finally, take action.

### USA Service Dog Registration Website Design & Dev.
https://usaservicedogregistration.com/
USA Service Dog Registration was experiencing a decline in sign-ups and sales due to increased competition from new businesses launching online and utilizing Google AdWords. Jacob Tyler was tasked to redesign the organization’s website, integrating a marketing site with a Shopify storefront to boost user experience, consumer engagement, online registrations and sales.
The website was receiving great traffic—30,000 unique visits monthly—but only converting at a rate of less than 4%. Our goal was to increase conversion to 10% while optimizing site performance for both download times and search engine optimization. Since new user registrations would ultimately lead to additional sales, we also focused on creating tactics to increase overall customer lifetime value (CLV).
Jacob Tyler developed a mobile first strategy that drove users to a “Quick Registration” form and showed options for shopping based on user needs. The new “store” also showcased suggestive products to upsell and increase average cart values. Within the first 60 days, user conversion increased to 7% and cart values increase an average of $14.

### Seaspine - The Rebirth of a Brand
https://www.seaspine.com
Integra – a leading global medical technology company – approached Jacob Tyler to help spin-off of its spine and orthobiologics business, Sea Spine, with a brand and digital strategy that would accelerate the company’s growth.
The Challenge
While SeaSpine was a new brand, it grew out of an existing company that had earned significant brand equity—Isotis. Our goal was to introduce SeaSpine to the market as a company that had already earned a strong reputation, and to showcase its innovative technology to generate brand awareness.
The Solution
Brand Architecture
To clarify the brand and strengthen our product positioning, we have established a brand architecture built around two main product categories: Hardware and  orthobiologics. This solution-based approach allowed the company to demonstrate its technical knowledge in relatable and practical ways by consolidating the decisions that a partner must make when purchasing from SeaSpine.
Brand Messaging
We crafted new brand messaging and a new brand personality for SeaSpine that promoted its easy and consistent experience, helpful customer service and innovative, high quality products. The aspirational tagline “StongerTogether” was developed to show the relationship between their hardware and orthobiologic products while creating the perception that SeaSpine and their physicians and patients are Stronger Together.
Website
Building from the blueprint of our brand architecture, we developed an intuitive, easy to navigate and visually engaging website that turned a complex offering into a seamless experience for the company’s customers.
The Result
Our efforts allowed SeaSpine to become an exciting new company while simultaneously enjoying the brand equity of its original parent company, introducing novel medical technologies to the world with the confidence of past achievement. The brand has staying power too—it’s still in use today after seven years.

### V10 Plus USA Web Design, eCommerce, & Photography
CHALLENGE
Not all beauty products are made the same, nor do they all provide the same results. V10 Plus needed to educate consumers about the high-quality ingredients in each of their products that have proven-results for various skin types (including those suffering from eczema, acne or psoriasis).
Although V10 Plus has had success in various international markets, they needed to build and generate brand awareness in a highly competitive US skincare market. They also needed to compete with other domestic and international skincare brands that were not necessarily their direct competitors in the J-Beauty industry.
SOLUTION
The Jacob Tyler team needed to redesign and redevelop an eCommerce website to utilize best practices and V10’s brand standards. The content needed to portray real women and their most authentic selves, not high fashion or modeled photos that represented a skewed idea of beauty. By developing a customer conversion funnel for higher online sales through the website, our team was able to do a comprehensive site functionality test to monitor its performance. The new site captured a timeless design while incorporating an inspiring and uplifting tone with a hint of playfulness.

OUTCOME

After launching the new site at the beginning of 2021, V10’s eCommerce sales jumped 39%. They have been able to attribute half of their revenue to returning customers, which is a 156% increase from before they started their collaboration with the Jacob Tyler team. By launching paid media campaigns, our team was able to convert over 1,500 new customers via Google and social media.

### MMIT Website Design & Development
CHALLENGE
MMIT has acquired three separate business units through the years, making their overall brand unity confusing and overwhelming to the user. Zitter Insights, AIS Health, and RJ Health provide unique benefits for the site, but their individual themes were clashing. If you were not in the drug and pharmaceutical industry, you wouldn’t know what they provided. MMIT’s target audience consists of pharmaceutical companies, health insurance companies, specialty pharmacies and healthcare IT.

Their old website was outdated and lacked user friendliness, making it easy for leads to turn away from their services.

SOLUTION
The Jacob Tyler team needed to maintain MMIT’s SEO while merging sites from 1,100 pages down to 700 pages. We implemented more interactive technologies to make it easier for the consumer by utilizing UX/UI design for easier lead conversions. Each site had its own set of challenges… so we had to rearrange and reorganize to allow the consumer to use the site more effectively. In order to keep an eye on the progress, we built our own custom KPI’s and formed brand unity throughout the site.

The redesign of the company’s website would help with lead generation by evolving and accelerating the buying journey. It was also our goal to improve the e-commerce experience and elevate the brand look and feel. Ensuring the appropriate analytics to feed into existing systems would allow our teams to track progress and see which areas needed improvement.

OUTCOME
Since launching the new website, we have seen an average time on site increase by 8.09% compared to the previous site. The bounce rate has dropped 9.78%, and average page views increased 12.29%. These numbers are expected to rise in the months to come!

### carsfast ongoing digital marketing
OVERVIEW
Carsfast operates like a car vending machine: go online, find a car you like, and sit back and relax while it gets delivered to your front door. You can browse vehicles across the country whether it be new, used or Carsfast approved with easy to use search filters to find exactly what you’re looking for.

They’re on a mission to make the car buying process easy from start to finish, all while finding your perfect match sitting on the couch.

CHALLENGE
Being a newer startup comes with challenges of acquiring traffic to your site. More traffic equals more leads, and they simply weren’t generating what they needed or wanted. In order to generate more revenue to the company, Carsfast needed to utilize paid media services to reel in new business from across the country.

SOLUTION
The JT creative department designed the content and copy for the ads to live on Facebook and Google. Creating successful campaigns started with researching audience segments, pixel tracking, and continually updating ads to combat fatigue. Once things were up and running, our team started seeing results that were bringing in successful leads.

OUTCOME
We saw results with 1 single campaign as it generated 194 leads. Our goal CPA at the start was $20, and we have worked it down to $7.71 through social ads, A/B testing, optimizing based on data, and optimized segmentation. We have averaged 28 leads per day at under half the cost per acquisition rate!
