A year long project to create dozens of video assets for one client. Jacknife provided a fulsome branding plan for each and every assets, along with all the graphic elements we needed to create the videos. At each step of the project, Jacknife's purpose and client goals remained the key focus.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

when we collaborate with Jacknife, we are usually the service provider. But Jacknife always delivers to their clients on time, within budget and goes above and beyond.
The put their clients need at the top of every project, taking the time and creative sense to look back at the original goals of every project and always ensure we're hitting the mark and achieving what we set out to do. Over the past 9 months, together with Jacknife we have delivered 70 video assets, with ease, on time and within scope.

Jacknife are so repsonsive and truly care about their clients. They are always willing to pivot to find the best solutions for their clients. They really put their heart and soul into every project. They always make time for discussions and problem solving. They rock!!!!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Jacknife not only provide great customer service and collaborate so well with other teams, but they are also VERY creative. Their work is beautiful. Their people are always coming up with new ways to share and package information. Not only are they good people, but they are very good at their jobs. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Jacknife could have done differently?

Nope. We love them!!!!!

I’m a self-employed consultant. I work with about 4–5 startups.

What challenge were you trying to address with Jacknife?

We hired them to redesign the logo of one of the companies I worked with.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Jacknife has helped us redesign our logo. We initially provided them with our branding guidelines and defined the general direction that we wanted to go. After that, their team proceeded with the work, providing us with a number of concepts to choose from. We’ve agreed on two concepts, and their team is currently working on revisions and incorporating our feedback.

What is the team composition?

We work with about five people from their side, including an account executive, a designer, and some members of their senior leadership team.

How did you come to work with Jacknife?

It was both through a referral and online research. A member of our team had heard that their company was quite good at what they do, so we checked out their previous work online.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $10,000 CAD (approximately $7,200 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together on this project in September 2022, and our engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’re exceptional to work with — they’ve been able to bring to life a lot of concepts that we like. Overall, they’ve done a great job.

How did Jacknife perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re timely with their work and take direction well. For communication, we use email and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their ability to implement the concepts we’ve given them. Also, they’ve spent a lot of time in the discovery process and worked hard to understand our requirements. 

Are there any areas they could improve on?

I don’t have any constructive feedback for them. Their deliverables and selling process have been very strong.

I'm the director and partner of Bonfire Originals, a collective of documentary filmmakers and content creators specializing in storytelling through film and media projects.

We aimed to build our company, build a fruitful partnership, and find efficiencies by collaborating with each other.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Jacknife has presented creative direction for video, motion graphics, and animation work based on creative branding, rebranding, and marketing for us to collaborate on and elevate through our expertise in video production, filmmaking, and animation.

What is the team composition?

Our company works closely with all departments within Jacknife, from creative leads, to designers, to account leads and the accounts team.

How did you come to work with Jacknife?

We had a previous connection with Jacknife. They have always been a great culture fit, and our company values aligned.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Jacknife in August 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've seen an increase in returning and recurring clients since partnering with Jacknife.

How did Jacknife perform from a project management standpoint?

Jacknife's project management is amazing and always thorough. The team is always on time. We communicate with Jacknife via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm most impressed with Jacknife's accessibility, responsiveness, and elevated creative and design. We feel like we're an extended part of their team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for Jacknife to improve.
