I know most people only send messages with administrative questions, or with complaints-- especially stressed-out entrepreneurs (which I imagine are the majority of your clients). Since I work on leadership coaching, I would be remiss if I didn’t think about long-term business growth and employee engagement (appreciation, constructive conflict/disagreement & learning, etc.), about helping employees grow, and making the effort to check in on challenges & successes, and follow-up with staff and suppliers.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

 I wanted to let you know that I am really enjoying working with Melanie. 

• she is extremely honest (I keep reminding her she can record her schedule to the quarter-hour, not the minute, because there is always prep-time and transition time; eg2 she says if she doesn’t quite understand something – which gives us the opportunity to clarify) 
• she is creative – I like the exploration of graphic concepts and presentation that she has brought to my thought leadership work, and how she is capturing the brand identity. 
• hard worker and smart – my articles can be challenging topics to understand, and in just 2 or 3 months she has wrapped her head around the system-thinking, preparing great draft summaries (which I can simply edit, rather than create) 
• Humble and happy to learn- she’s willing to say when she doesn’t understand something (I’ll take some credit for that – since I have created the space for honest, human conversation, and treat her like an employee, not a piece of machinery), and she is willing to do the work to learn both from me, and from her other resources 
• hard-worker and smart (again) – probably because of growing up in business, she is a good problem solver and is willing to share insights on her areas of expertise. I have appreciated her sharing her thoughts on good ways to promote on Instagram or other social media, things to think about, how to address a misstep, etc. There are always many projects I am juggling (and many ideas on each project), so I appreciate her sharing her insights. It helps me (and I’m sure it helps her other clients) make more informed decisions as we manage our strategy and many projects.

Services apply evidence-based practices from multiple academic disciplines to handle conflict and business dynamics holistically. I am the founder and principal consultant.

I wanted an advanced, top-notch looking website that showcased the professionalism I offer my clients. For me, that meant including animated logos, effects, incorporating videos and more. I didn't want a "copy and paste" or "slapped together" look whatsoever. We worked collaboratively on the design while I supplied the marketing copy. He requested feedback often, which I appreciated, and ultimately met the target timeline.

Communication: was I able to get a hold of them when and how I needed? Was communication satisfying? Price: how did their prices compare to others? Did the price difference explain the differences?

First we met for an initial interview to determine fit and qualification. After choosing to go with the company and worker, the developer and I met to outline the project for 1-2 hours. We established a firm budget and a list of requirements of him and I. Then we established a timeline for providing those materials, and specified with portions of the website took priority over others. The developer used Wordpress, Namecheap as host, Beaver Builder, Ultimate Beaver Builder Add On, Booknetic for booking, and more.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Communication was primarily slack, with some zoom calls. Web developer was usually very responsive, and always got back to me within a reasonable time range (usually less then a day).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their affordable service fees and the simplicity of their business model were top-notch!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think they could do a better job with offering peace of mind. I don't think they did anything wrong at all, but as a new client, I had some concerns that I think could have been better addressed with an FAQ section, a video, etc. I was ultimately able to get more concerns addressed but only after several scheduled video calls (all but one were cancelled).

My executive assistant is slowly taking over more and more management of the day-to-day operations of my business, including research, inbox and calendar management, creating social media content, managing my CRM, creating newsletters, and more.

I have so much more time and space for creative and strategic thinking in my business, knowing that the day-to-day operations are handled by someone reliable and capable.

We meet weekly, and use an online task manager and messaging service to coordinate all of our work together. It's been seamless.

I'm very impressed by iWorker's responsiveness and large database of high-quality assistants at different price tiers, their matching process based on my specific needs, and their clear and easy onboarding process for me as a client. They even sent me a series of videos with best practices for working with an EA, which has been so helpful.

I'm a solopreneur who delivers voice and public speaking training via video.

For what projects/services did your company hire iWorker, and what were your goals?

Consult calls etc can be done via Zoom, but for my high end training and social media I like to have better production values. I don't have time to edit everything, so I engaged Esteban at iWorker to do some edits for me.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Auditioning video editors is exhausting. A friend of mine already knew Esteban, and so I was familiar with his work. She recommended I reach out to iWorker to see if he had any extra time. I like the extra accountability provided by iWorker, knowing that the freelancers are all working under the same umbrella gives me a sense of consistency and I know who to talk to if there are any issues (which there haven't been).

I already had all the raw footage, I just needed it cut together in a way that is consistent with my existing editing style. I wanted to keep the videos high definition. Additional goals were to add an animation and sound for an intro / outro and also any colour corrections that were necessary.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

At the initial meeting Esteban and I discussed the project parameters and expectations and the importance of congruence of style as I will always be editing some videos so I want a consistent feel. After making some requests for raw files, he has just been getting on with it, with almost no input from me. He's doing an excellent job — his editing instincts are spot on.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have been working together for months now and I've not had to make any corrections, he has a very strong understanding of the aesthetic I'm aiming for and he delivers. It is such a joy to know my video edits are getting done well - and I don't have to give it a second thought.

Time is tracked in a spreadsheet, we communicate via email as needed, every week or two.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I like that iWorker has a system that I can plug into. Each freelancer has their resume, rate and calendly link posted so I can interview for a VA if/when needed. There is also no requirement of a certain number of hours per week, so we can go with the flow, which is important in a small business, if I don't have any work for the freelancer I don't want to have to drop everything to find work for them, the structure is flexible.

So far I've had an excellent experience.

We kicked off the project with a brief meeting to go over the objectives of the videos we needed. From there we worked with our resource to fine tune the content. Once that was complete a final version was delivered.

We worked with Tassiana and she was amazing! Communication was timely and we were able to iterate quickly through a few revision rounds.

The process was extremely smooth. Tassiana would create the first cut of the video. From there our team shared feedback and both sides worked quickly to incorporate needed changes.

We were conducting customer research for our startup and needed help to:

1. transcribe interviews
2. analyze key findings and organize them in a database.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We were approached by iWorker when we were doing our customer research and decided to hire them after interviewing Glexy Gonzalez, the worker they suggested for our needs. We made the choice based on the positive impression we got from Glexy during the interview, the business and pricing model of iWorker, and the responsiveness of the iWorker team during our selection process.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Glexy transcribed more than 40 qualitative interviews ranging from 15min to more than an hour. She created a clean, well-formatted, and easy-to-read Word document for each audio file. In addition, she analysed the key findings of the interviews and organised them into an Excel database that she created and populated from scratch.

What was the team composition?

I worked closely with Glexy, providing guidance and feedback for her work.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The customer research enabled us to narrow down our target customers and beachhead segment, which is a critical milestone for an early-stage startup. Thanks to Glexy's work, we have clean and well-documented customer research data and key findings that we keep referring to for our product development and business development.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Glexy worked independently and produced high-quality results with limited guidance, which made her a great team member. She is very responsive and also does not hesitate to raise questions/issues to ensure her work is done correctly and efficiently. Glexy communicated regularly and effectively over email and we had video meetings on an as-needed basis. She is very professional, friendly, and hard-working.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Transcribing the interviews was particularly challenging because

1. the interviews involved complex topics about business, technology and engineering
2. they involved 3 or more participants, and
3. they often contained side discussions irrelevant to the research that had to be understood properly and edited out in the transcripts.

iWorker did an excellent job, overcoming all challenges and producing high-quality transcripts. She was able to gain in-depth understanding of the content on her own, asking little help for clarification. Concerning the analysis of key insights and creation of the database, as an expert in Consumer Insights, I was very impressed by Glexy’s ability to create a database structure appropriate for our research objectives and the interview data, even though the interviews did not always follow the same format. Such work requires creativity, flexibility, rigor, and being detailed-oriented - all qualities that Glexy possesses.

We are using Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIN and Osvaldo masters all three. With his deep understanding of social media, we established a great presence in our space and are expanding quickly. If you are looking to grow your presence and establish credibility for your brands and products on social media, I would highly recommend their services.

We establish a weekly review starting with the strategy and reviewing implementation and progress.

Osvaldo built and implemented our US social media strategy for our brands; Spartherm and JC Bordelet.

My main concern using a remote person was the not only the quality of the individual but also how to communicate efficiently. We were presented a few candidates. After the interview process and selection, I was impressed with our candidate (Osvaldo) and my concerns never materialized.
