The administrative team helps us manage and maintain our database. They clean up information as well as help input information which in turn is delivered to our end users.

I'm a solopreneur who delivers voice and public speaking training via video.
For what projects/services did your company hire iWorker, and what were your goals?
Consult calls etc can be done via Zoom, but for my high end training and social media I like to have better production values. I don't have time to edit everything, so I engaged Esteban at iWorker to do some edits for me.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Auditioning video editors is exhausting. A friend of mine already knew Esteban, and so I was familiar with his work. She recommended I reach out to iWorker to see if he had any extra time. I like the extra accountability provided by iWorker, knowing that the freelancers are all working under the same umbrella gives me a sense of consistency and I know who to talk to if there are any issues (which there haven't been).

I already had all the raw footage, I just needed it cut together in a way that is consistent with my existing editing style. I wanted to keep the videos high definition. Additional goals were to add an animation and sound for an intro / outro and also any colour corrections that were necessary.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
At the initial meeting Esteban and I discussed the project parameters and expectations and the importance of congruence of style as I will always be editing some videos so I want a consistent feel. After making some requests for raw files, he has just been getting on with it, with almost no input from me. He's doing an excellent job — his editing instincts are spot on.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have been working together for months now and I've not had to make any corrections, he has a very strong understanding of the aesthetic I'm aiming for and he delivers. It is such a joy to know my video edits are getting done well - and I don't have to give it a second thought.

Time is tracked in a spreadsheet, we communicate via email as needed, every week or two.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I like that iWorker has a system that I can plug into. Each freelancer has their resume, rate and calendly link posted so I can interview for a VA if/when needed. There is also no requirement of a certain number of hours per week, so we can go with the flow, which is important in a small business, if I don't have any work for the freelancer I don't want to have to drop everything to find work for them, the structure is flexible.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
So far I've had an excellent experience.

We kicked off the project with a brief meeting to go over the objectives of the videos we needed. From there we worked with our resource to fine tune the content. Once that was complete a final version was delivered.

We worked with Tassiana and she was amazing! Communication was timely and we were able to iterate quickly through a few revision rounds.

The process was extremely smooth. Tassiana would create the first cut of the video. From there our team shared feedback and both sides worked quickly to incorporate needed changes.

We received timely communications and felt updated every step of the way. We leveraged Zoom for video communication and Google Drive to share content between our teams.

We were conducting customer research for our startup and needed help to:
- transcribe interviews
- analyze key findings and organize them in a database.

We were approached by iWorker when we were doing our customer research and decided to hire them after interviewing Glexy Gonzalez, the worker they suggested for our needs. We made the choice based on the positive impression we got from Glexy during the interview, the business and pricing model of iWorker, and the responsiveness of the iWorker team during our selection process.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Glexy transcribed more than 40 qualitative interviews ranging from 15min to more than an hour. She created a clean, well-formatted, and easy-to-read Word document for each audio file. In addition, she analysed the key findings of the interviews and organised them into an Excel database that she created and populated from scratch.

I worked closely with Glexy, providing guidance and feedback for her work.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The customer research enabled us to narrow down our target customers and beachhead segment, which is a critical milestone for an early-stage startup. Thanks to Glexy's work, we have clean and well-documented customer research data and key findings that we keep referring to for our product development and business development.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Glexy worked independently and produced high-quality results with limited guidance, which made her a great team member. She is very responsive and also does not hesitate to raise questions/issues to ensure her work is done correctly and efficiently. Glexy communicated regularly and effectively over email and we had video meetings on an as-needed basis. She is very professional, friendly, and hard-working.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Transcribing the interviews was particularly challenging because
- the interviews involved complex topics about business, technology and engineering
- they involved 3 or more participants, and
- they often contained side discussions irrelevant to the research that had to be understood properly and edited out in the transcripts.
iWorker did an excellent job, overcoming all challenges and producing high-quality transcripts. She was able to gain in-depth understanding of the content on her own, asking little help for clarification. Concerning the analysis of key insights and creation of the database, as an expert in Consumer Insights, I was very impressed by Glexy’s ability to create a database structure appropriate for our research objectives and the interview data, even though the interviews did not always follow the same format. Such work requires creativity, flexibility, rigor, and being detailed-oriented - all qualities that Glexy possesses.

It is an ongoing social media management project. Content is always changing but their roles remain very similar.

It has allowed me to focus on other avenues of my business and freeing up my time for some of my larger, more demanding clients. It has also allowed us to have consistent content schedules and typically plan ahead.

Really effective. It pretty much runs on auto-pilot now. They are continually sourcing content and I add in client requests as they come in. After they are added to our scheduler I jump in weekly to approve everything and the cycle continues.

It was super quick and easy to get started. They are are quick to respond and both my team members are great. They respond well to any changes I need and adjust when needed.

We looked for designers that have skills in graphic design using professional software such as Adobe Illustrator and we needed someone to with video creation expertise. Cost and quality of work were our two most important deciding factors.

We explained our needs to iWorker and they set us up right away with a few candidates to interview. We interviewed three of them and received copies of their work samples. We decided on the third candidate who had the skills we desired, had good quality work samples, and we also liked his attention to detail and his maturity.

We had a main contact from iWorker who was very responsive from the get-go. He then set us up with candidates to interview.

iWorker is very efficient and takes the time to answer questions, they send contract documents right away, and we were set up in no time. As for our contract worker, he has been very organized, communicative, and even asks for feedback on how he can do better and he follows through with them.

Very effective on both sides. Our iWorker contact is responsive as offered guidance when I needed it. Our contract worker set us up to communicate and deliver work products with a software I had never heard of, but now that we are using it, it makes our project rum smoothly and we can exchange our updates, questions, deliverables, etc. through it seamlessly.

I didn't have to jump through hoops to get someone to talk with me, I got responses very quickly, and they even reach out to see if I need anything and have also offered ways to help streamline my back-end processes with them, which I declined because it wasn't what I needed at the time, but still appreciated. I feel like a valued and true client with iWorker and not just a number.

My assistant communicates through Skype - as I requested - and must have it loaded on his phone as whenever I message, he almost immediately messages back. His work hours are flexible, and rightly so, to enable a healthy work life balance. The company he works for has always had great communication, typically following up to any of my emails within a matter of hours.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
This company has a collection of bios on file and allow you to interview the ideal candidate. They won't pressure you to pick from the first batch of bios/candidates that they send you and understand that if someone isn't a good fit, then you'll likely not be a long term customer so strive to find the right individual for you/your company.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Vetting some of the credentials of their job candidates a bit more. I interviewed one candidate who was supposedly knowledgeable in one particular area, but they didn't seem to understand the basic level. However, that's the beauty of interviewing - it helps you to find the best match for your organization.
Thanks to iWorker's efforts, the client was able to keep pace with the growth of their database as well as automaton processes through VAs. The team was communicative in the workflow. They were skilled, cost-effective, and versatile in the partnership.
