For what projects/services did your company hire it-solve?

Our main goal, which was to cooperate with a software house, was to create a mobile application for Android and iOS for people interested in caravanning.

During initial discussions IT-solve team led by Mrs. Karolina, Project Manager, showed high level of knowledge regarding mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms. The strong engagement of the IT-solve team at the very beginning even before signing the contract and a very good understanding of our target customers' needs were key aspects in our decision to cooperate

IT-solve prepared two mobile applications for us - one for Android and one for iOS. Having extensive experience in software development, IT-solve programmers, working with the agency responsible for our website, prepared an API linking data in native applications with the content management system - Wordpress. To create Android and iOS applications such technologies as Vue.js, .NET, SQL Server, Cordoba and Bootstrap were used.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We love caravanning. We are admirers of this form of traveling and that is why we decided to create a place where everyone can find information about this beautiful passion. Moreover, the application contains many additional features such as SOS broadcasting or trip planning. Thanks to cooperation with IT-solve we managed to achieve that and our users love it!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project was and still is developed in Time&Material mode. Software development based on this method requires high commitment and flexibility from the person responsible for the team and their work. The full availability and professionalism of Mrs. Karolina, IT-solve Project Manager, meant that all the solutions associated with the preparation of the application were delivered with a large margin of time, which avoided all the mistakes that could prevent the publication of the application on time in the AppStore and Google Play stores. Contact with Karolina takes place via e-mail and phone calls - each time is friendly and provides specific information about the progress of work and application development process.

Their promptness in fulfilling inquiries, professional responses, and flexible offerings are most impressive.

Cooperating so far with the IT-solve team I am very pleased with their work and commitment. I think that they do a great job at every stage of cooperation, which is required to successfully complete the implementation of individual components of the application.

Communication and project management with the whole team is excellent. Whenever we have any issue, want new functionalities, or any other additions, they are there for us. In our communication we used Slack, Jira and Bitbucket.

Thanks to the app developed by it-solve, we are able to manage our website development projects more efficiently, which improves our overall availability to customers.

We were in constant contact with the project manager who responded quickly to all of the questions we’ve had regarding the app they were developing for us. Both the project manager and a developer were eager to help with any issues we had.

They are a young company however their workflow is excellent. Meeting deadlines, smooth communication and attention to even the smallest details is what makes them stand out. They are always here to help, no matter what time of the day it is.

We did not find anything like this. It was a very good cooperation and we highly recommend them.

Creating a queuing system, printing tickets with a number, streamlining the work of office staff.

At first we did an extensive search of different software development companies on Clutch. Then, we decided to do a background check of the companies we found and seemed interesting. We have checked their websites, LinkedIn page and references on other services. IT-SOLVE was one of the very few companies that offers broad and very detailed information on the projects they did in the past as well as information on technologies they use, how they work and what tools do they use.

IT-SOLVE helped us develop a queuing system that makes everyday work, of those working in government offices, efficient. They implemented web app as well as desktop app for office workers, along with monitors to display current queue statuses and ticket machines - are fully cusotmizable to fit any institution needs.

At first we had a contact with it-solve CEO, with whom we discussed the scope of our project. Then, he introduced us to the developers, testers and project managers during the first workshop session. They worked very efficiently and were eager to answer all of our questions in detail.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to the system that was created by IT-SOLVE, the work in the offices was smoothed out. Employees can verify the number of accepted stakeholders during shifts. The employees can download tickets with numbers and the number of people in line in front of them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was very efficient. We were able to send direct emails to each team member with any issue we had and then receive immediate response with possible solutions, so we could then discuss them and select those that fit our needs. They had impressive ideas about workflow. We were very happy throughout the whole project and very pleased with the outcome. The experience it-solve team has is what made the cooperation easy and very effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Attention to detail. Meeting deadlines. Delivering product they said they would, without any surprise. They were eager to help and to discuss our concerns in the tiniest details. They demonstrated a true desire to understand and support our business objectives, and this translated into the quality of work they produced. Beyond that, they are also experts in software development.

I’m a development specialist for Sweco Consulting. We’re an architecture and engineering company based in Stockholm, Sweden. I work in our Polish branch, which employs around 250 people. We’re primarily focused on construction supervision, design services, and consultations in flood protection.

What challenge were you trying to address with it-solve?

We needed a company to help us develop software to monitor the procurement offers we submit to our clients.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided it-solve with a list of our specifications. After several meetings, they proposed a design and some functionalities for the software. We approved the plan; then they built it out from scratch.

They finished the platform according to our expectations and schedule. Basically, the database allows us to manage all of our submitted offers. We can also analyze our market position in relation to our competitors, as well as assess fees and any potential risks.

That was the first part of the collaboration. We plan to implement a second component that handles automatically generated reports. We’re looking into partnering with it-solve for that initiative, as well.

What is the team composition?

I worked with two people form it-solve; a project manager who handled the majority of the partnership, and a programmer who was responsible for the technical aspects.

How did you come to work with it-solve?

We shared our specifications with multiple vendors through Oferteo, a Polish platform. it-solve responded, showing an interest in collaborating. From there, we met with them in person to sign an agreement.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent a total of $8,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

They worked on the software from July 2018–October 2018. We plan to implement it internally at the beginning of November.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve conducted several tests, and the results are promising. We expect to see positive changes within two months. The staff members who tested the software praise its performance and speed. I’m confident that it will improve our internal operations.

How did it-solve perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated efficiently. If we ever ran into an issue, we resolved it within the day. We discussed our progress and any main challenges in weekly meetings. Most of our interactions were over Skype or through email, with a few additional phone calls. Their team was always available; we never had trouble reaching the project manager or our developer.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We have experience working with other vendors in the IT field, and our partnership with it-solve definitely stands out. They were very easy to work with, communicating and solving problems efficiently. They truly understood our goal and had the industry expertise to help us achieve it. They used new software and provided valuable ideas and solutions. Their perspective was useful not only for the technical aspects of our project but on the business side as well.

What was the scope of their involvement?

One of their developers helped us with the full stack of technology needed for our project. We used .NET-related technologies such as ASP.NET and MVC, and, in terms of frontend technologies, Angular and everything related to JavaScript.

What is the team dynamic?

We worked with a project manager. In the initial phase, we negotiated with the CEO on who would join our team.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in June 2016, and it's an ongoing project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

He developed important functionalities in our system. They are not fully tested and not fully in the production phase, but he helped us. Without his help, we wouldn't have been able to develop those functionalities in that amount of time. We were really satisfied because this was the reason why we started working with it-solve. Those two functionalities that were delivered are a good reason to employ them in the future.

How did it-solve perform from a project management standpoint?

He was a member of our team. Most of the time, he worked remotely from their office and joined daily stand-ups via conference call. We work on the Scrum methodology. We communicated constantly by Slack and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The cooperation went smoothly, and he delivered good quality at a reasonable price. We weren’t able to find anyone equally skillful at that price. We initially planned for it to be temporary until we found someone to join our team full-time, but it was less expensive for us to continue with it-solve.

Also, I liked how their programmers who were not involved in a project worked on internal projects in order to learn new technologies and skills.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve in terms of having more skillful people like them, but everyone is struggling to find skillful developers, so it's not easy.

I am a board member of Synnetra Corp. We create FX trading platforms for banks, where there is a frontend provided for the bank, the bank gives this frontend to the customer, and then the customer can trade FX foreign currencies on it.

What challenge were you trying to address with it-solve?

We were looking for a provider to build the platform for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

The platform is a web application. We were very heavily involved though they did all of the development work. FX is all about messaging systems, so on the backend they needed to connect with FIX [Financial Information Exchange] APIs that we provided. They then needed to create a frontend solution that would be like an interface on top of these APIs, including the admin panel and the portal for the end customer.

What is the team dynamic?

I interacted with the owner, as well as a couple of developers from their team.

How did you come to work with it-solve?

We were referred to them.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent around $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in October 2015 and is an ongoing project in terms of maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project has been successful. The platform is working in two places and supporting hundreds of users.

As of now, we are discussing another project which is in a slightly different space. We are discussing the type of resources we need, as well as where and when, and how much. These discussions are particularly helpful because they are focused on putting together a team that has the skills that I need.

How did it-solve perform from a project management standpoint?

We had an Agile attitude to this project and were in contact every couple of days. In Agile, we decide what the priorities are. We had a call to discuss current issues as well as challenges, and make decisions regarding certain functionalities. We made decisions regarding the architecture, decided how things should be done, and then worked directly with developers. The process has been really exceptional.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were very heavily involved in the project throughout and saw how they always try to help using their resources and the technology I need.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They are really good with ASP.net with MVC [Model-View-Controller] framework. At the moment, we are moving heavily into the React phase; we will have a system that will combine ReactJS, Node.js, as well as C#. We need a .NET shop with the frontend based in ReactJS, and some additional Node.js components. At the moment, the resources for ReactJS and Node.js are missing on their side, and they are struggling in that area. If they get resources in the .NET area, they would be really good. 

If someone has a project where they have the spec, and they need to manage that as well as figure out what architecture someone needs, this may not be the best company. I would recommend it-solve to people who want to hire high-quality .NET resources, where the customer knows what is needed and what needs to be done.
