We had previously designed and worked on Swapwith mobile application in 2016. Last year, we noticed that our competitors had upgraded their apps and improved their overall UX/UI experience so we lost so many users for this. Our main goal was to match the overall UI design quality and user experience with what's on the market. We also wanted to not only enhance our apps user experience and increase our apps downloads by the beginning of 2020 but also retain our market share that we had lost to our competitors.

My team and I searched online within and outside China for a company that can help us fulfill our goals. Because in the past, we didn't vet vigorously who was best fitted for the job, this time, we interviewed about 100 potential applicants. After viewing each company's portfolio including their individual work experience, we hired five companies and asked each to individually to first design three UI screens for our app which we paid for. We all loved the overall work that InnoApps Technologies submitted. The screens blew our minds because they not only exceeded our expectations, but designers also submitted work as per promise. This was the first sign of their excellent work ethics and professionalism. So, we hired InnoApps Technologies for the whole project.

After we selected InnoApps for our project, we quickly discussed our projects wireframes and mockups. We spent about 1- 2 weeks discussing back and forth our desired wireframes and colors. Our designs went through several cycles of changes and we were grateful that InnoApps was patient enough to allow us to make revisions. We needed four apps altogether, two vendor apps both IOS and Android, and customer apps, IOS and Android with many features including marketplace and social media. Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have received so many praises from users who are currently testing the app before launching on the market later this month that the overall UI experience has improved so much. Because the app feels so fresh and new, we are even considering rebranding to capture more market share.

The project manager for our project is definitely very professional. We received timely updates on the entire project. We used various communication tools to stay in touch throughout our the entire project

What did you find most impressive about this company?

InnoApps Technologies does not compromise on quality. As the matter of fact, their consistency in quality work is what impressed us the most. Communication was also very clear and InnoApps understood all our requirements and would often make adjustments if we requested them to. We were impressed how coordinated the company is.

We wished our work could be finished earlier, but at the end of the day, we can't compromise quality at the expense of expediency.

The goal of this project was to reinvent the way local sports players, coaches and supporters receive content about their sport competition.

During the initial business set-up process I received a recommendation to InnoApps....the rest is history.

During the initial phase we went through a discovery phase that allowed me to define my requirements and for a detailed contract to be drafted. For subsequent releases/updates/enhancements new wireframes were developed making it very clear what need to be developed and the associated costs.

Depending on the size of the project release we had a variety of project resources across the project including a PM, Tester, Front-End Developer, Back-End Developer & a Server Engineer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the 1st iteration of the Web-App InnoApps were able to turnaround a concept into a publicly facing App that integrated 3 pieces of technology, previous never before offered in the market. Since then InnoApps have successfully delivered multiple other iterations of the App, duplicating the technology for other sporting bodies and improving the reliability and performance of the App along the way.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Most of my interactions where directly with the Project Manager who took the time to really understand the unique requirements and make suggestions ideas on how things could be improved. We used Trello to keep track on how this were progressing allow our conversations to stay focussed on agreed delivery goals.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their appetite for delivery and success was always positive and their ability to be contacted at vary hours across the day or night also helped cater for my own bus schedule.

Are there any areas for improvement?

With the App build I was often given inadequate timeframes fro my customer. This had a flow on affect for InnoApp who were always hapy to support these tight timeframes. One suggestion is to always ensure the work completed is as per the agreed prioritise which sometimes wasn't the case from the developers.

I needed someone to develop our mobile app; I had no programming knowledge. The app had to be a platform for selling and buying products online.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They began with the design and sought our feedback and approval. From there, their team developed our iOS and Android app from scratch and posted it to our website.  Additionally, they created an admin panel for managing the app from our site. They integrated the app with our server and the new admin panel. They implemented Stripe into the app, for online payment purposes. InnoApps Technologies is currently tracking for bugs and fixing issues.

We needed help building a mobile app for one of our clients. It was the first application we developed under our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked together with InnoApps to hire a few developers for this project. After I provided the wireframes, they took care of the rest. The app is built for iOS and Android and works with a paired website that connects to its user database. The system facilitates direct calls and includes push notifications on both platforms.

The product serves several different purposes. Initially, it was meant for emergencies in places like restaurants, hotels, and hospitals. Using an iPad, one supervisor can contact every employee with an Android or iOS phone at once. They can create and save 16 prepared messages to send out. Users can also download the reports it generates.

Internally, we use the app to message employees when lunch is served. It’s useful for any company that needs to contact specific groups of employees. During medical emergencies, it’s set up to contact people on the work floor with relevant medical histories first.

I have talked to about five developers from InnoApps Technologies. We also had two dedicated project managers.

InnoApps Technologies has an impressive knowledge of everything that’s possible with iOS and Android. They often come up with solutions I had never thought of before.

They have room to improve when it comes to communication. They write perfectly in English, but we’ve had problems speaking over the phone since its neither of our first languages.

They’ve performed well in this respect. InnoApps Technologies uses fast and responsive project management tools for tracking our dedicated team’s time, and they’ve managed our projects smoothly. We use Slack and WhatsApp for communication and Trello for posting tasks and comments.

We provide wireframes for our projects, and we require a software requirements specification document on that basis, which is a sensitive part of any development project. This makes requirements clearer. We’ve had some hiccups around development, but this is fine. I understand that mistakes happen.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They provide a full set of tech services, from design to development so we don’t need to look for different teams for parts of the project. They even handle the marketing. The team is good overall, especially in terms of design.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve in terms of timeline management. If the client has a tight deadline, then this becomes something to address with InnoApps Technologies. They’ve taken more than the expected time to finish on occasion, but we’re happy with the quality.

InnoApps was tasked with designing and developing a full-scale website overhaul for our foundation. It had to cater to multiple audiences industry professionals, emerging filmmakers, press, cultural partners, and the public without losing coherence or ease of navigation. The platform needed to support multilingual functionality, dynamic event updates, grant application integrations, and real-time content during the Festival. On the technical side, the project spanned user interface and experience design, custom content management systems, back-end API integrations for registration and funding programs, and interactive pages for Red Sea Souk and Labs participants.

What stood out almost immediately was how InnoApps approached the creative process. Before a single line of code was written, their team spent a surprising amount of time just listening understanding our mission, the texture of our brand, and the emotional tones we wanted to convey across different pages. I remember one workshop session where we discussed the concept of cultural fluidity and how it should be visually represented through subtle animations and transitions across the festival section of the site. That conversation found its way into the final product, and it worked beautifully.

The most meaningful outcomes came not just in metrics, but in the experiences people shared with us afterward. Our Festival’s digital footfall increased significantly not just in traffic volume, but in how long users stayed, what they explored, and how many chose to register or apply through the portal. The grant application portal, which was often a source of confusion for applicants in the past, received praise from filmmakers who found the new flow intuitive and professional. One filmmaker from Morocco actually reached out directly to our team and said the site made them feel like the Foundation was finally as international online as it was in spirit. That kind of feedback was worth more than any stat on a dashboard.

Their project management was both structured and refreshingly human. They didn’t just tick boxes they anticipated where friction might occur and softened it before we even noticed. When timelines became tight especially around pre-Festival testing and last-minute speaker announcements they adjusted sprint goals, reallocated resources internally, and got things done without compromising quality. In one particular case, we had to add an entirely new feature to showcase a digital screening room just weeks before launch. It showed in the details the subtle movements of hover effects, the rhythm of scroll-based animations, the care in typography and image placement. Even their QA testers were artistic in their approach. I remember them flagging a visual inconsistency in one of our Arabic language pages not because it was broken technically, but because the alignment disrupted the visual poetry of the script. That kind of care can’t be taught. It’s part of who they are.
