We are a small digital marketing company that manage our clients online marketing presence, specialising in bespoke projects, targeting niche areas, to help further grow revenue for our client's businesses.

For what projects/services did your company hire Inlancer, and what were your goals?

As App building was relatively new to us, we required a company that not only could build what we required but also educate us along the way to ensure we were completely familiar with the individual processes so we could relay this back to our client. We hired Inlancer to fulfil the developement of a medical mobile app that contained all the documentation a patient may require while visiting that hospital.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Inlancer demonstrated great knowledge in mobile app development and showed great enthusiasm and interest in what we were trying to accomplish. They also worked with us in identifying better ways to build bespoke elements of the app and contributed greatly in ensuring the app worked to its maximum potential.

Inlancer worked closely with our design team to ensure the proposed design and features were possible within the scope of our project. They then worked closely with the design and usability team, using figma, to make sure they fully understood the flow of the app before they begun development. They used react native, php, laravel, python.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I was dealing with one person, and she was communicating with other people in her business. We feel this works much better as it is easier to communicate requirements, updates and changes and the work got completed much faster.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 6-8 weeks they had a version of the app that we were able to show our team. This allowed tweak certain elements and make the app better.

The project manager was and is superb. She was able to help us out with all queries we had and was very flexible in terms of the times we were able to communicate, despite being in different time zones. She is very approachable and so much easier to get along with compared to other developement agencies we have worked with in the past.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their knowledge was great, and what they didn't know, they investigated for us and then came back with that information. Other agencies I have worked with say they can do everything only for us to find out they cant. Inlancer were different and I really like this.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The areas I would improve are more relating to us and what we know about the app developement process now. In the future I would look for them to carry out more of the work, instead of us using other developers.

I’m the CTO of Webymaster, a web agency and solutions company. We have a history of creating custom web applications based on PHP — more recently, we have started building mobile applications with the help of outsourced developers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Inlancer?

We were looking for assistance with mobile app development, beginning with backend support.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inlancer provided a full mobile development solution. They began on the backend and developed an API for the mobile app. They also created our website in two languages, Arabic and English, which is a very difficult task for overseas developers to implement correctly. Finally, we relied on them for design support as well. 

They started with a Figma design and showed us the entire sitemap, making changes as requested until we approved all of the design elements. Then, they got to work creating the mobile app and website concurrently. At our request, they included ways for us to add new languages at any time — this was really important to our project, as a multinational platform.

How did you come to work with Inlancer?

We have worked with several outsourced developers in the past, but we hadn’t found any that really suited our needs. One of the reasons that I chose Inlancer is that they were very willing to ask questions to understand what we needed. A lot of freelancers will avoid asking questions and just promise to deliver a product, but Inlancer made sure that we were aligned on what the solution needed to be.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Inlancer in August 2021, and we are still working with them to finish up the final touches on the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Normally, we would expect an endeavor of this size to take 2–3 months to complete — Inlancer was able to deliver the first demos of the mobile app and web dashboard within just two weeks. They were very understanding of our project needs and capabilities, going so far as to deliver aspects of the project before we even paid out the down payment. This project was a joint effort between our company and another firm in the United States, and our partners were very pleased with the platform that Inlancer created.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are very professional, dedicated, and disciplined. They have changed their staffing plans and workloads to suit our timetables, including working on Sundays to quickly turn around a demo for us. 

They were a lot more communicative than companies with whom we’ve worked in the past. Inlancer is very responsive — I often get answers to my questions within an hour after sending them a message. Their work is high-quality, clean, and fast.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would have been nice to see some more documentation for their approach to backend development. They were great about showing us how they were going to create our frontend mobile application, and I’d have liked it if we had a similar discussion on the rest of the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give Inlancer all of the details that they will need to complete the project — be very detailed from the beginning.

I’m the technology officer for an IT consulting company.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Inlancer.in?

A news agency we built a website for, asked us to build an Android and iOS mobile app because they were having censorship issues in their resident country.

They believed that a mobile app can help them alleviate their problems, so we outsourced the project to Inlancer.in since we didn’t want to do it in-house.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inlancer.in helped us develop an iOS and Android app for one of our clients. One of the main features of the app is push notification, which alerts users to published news. We don't have a maintenance agreement, but we've had a cordial relationship so when I need minor updates on the app, they’re always ready to help.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact was Miral (Co-Founder) but I’m not sure how many people were involved in the project.

How did you come to work with Inlancer.in?

We actually met with Inlancer.in on Fiverr, because I usually outsource some of our projects there. I put up a request for mobile app development with the specifications, and chose Inlancer.in because of their high ratings.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $400.

What is the status of the engagement?

We started working together in May–July 2021. The development took so long because we were having trouble getting an Apple developer account approved.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their job is 100% despite the reverts from the client’s end. When we first launched the product, we realized that the scrolling feature on the app wasn’t working properly — we got back to Inlancer.in and they resolved the issue immediately.

Our team, as well as our client, were very satisfied with their deliverables. My experience with them has actually made me keep them as a backup source, especially in regards to mobile app development.

How did Inlancer.in perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well and they delivered the project on time. Apart from the main development task, they also helped us organize the different aspects of setting up our Apple Store account. That task wasn’t part of the original scope, but they still assisted us in ensuring that it was set up correctly.

We typically communicated through Fiverr.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their patience in dealing with our clients. They were able to tolerate our client’s demands, which was a good selling point for a development company.

We got to a point where we were almost got stuck because our client was experiencing censorship issues. Their site was hosted on a journalist’s server where there were a lot of restrictions, so they didn’t have any leverage to do the things they needed to do. However, Inlancer.in was still able to achieve the results we needed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't have any complaints about the project we did together. I canceled jobs and have had vendors cancel jobs on us, but I’ve never experienced that with Inlancer.in.

I'm the owner of PAPERorPIXEL, a web design agency. We do app development, websites, clothing design, and anything creative basically.

What challenge were you trying to address with Inlancer.in?

We needed someone that was available for development in a different time zone. By having someone work overnight on a project, we could review it the next day and improve our workflow.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The services that Inlancer.in provides are editing and app updating. For example, if I had an app that needed some tweaking done, new additional features, or feature removal, they could help me out. They would take care of that and troubleshoot the app so that changes are submitted to the App Store successfully. In general, the majority of the work is app development, app maintenance, and editing.

We work primarily on iOS projects. Some functionalities and features added by their team are a GPS locator and a chat feature where different app users can communicate with each other in different locations. They also handle sign-in for Apple, Gmail, Facebook, and the in-app rating system.

What is the team composition?

At one point, we worked with three developers, but I mostly deal with my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Inlancer.in?

I was searching for a collaborator. Other vendors, based on the description and screengrab of the project, felt like it might have been too much work or something that they couldn't handle. After I contacted Inlancer.in, it seemed like they had the answers and were able to take on the project. They understood it from the beginning, and they gave me feedback.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The App Store is constantly updating and changing its policy, so something that didn't exist when I first started working on the app suddenly needs to be included. We don’t have much trouble working with bugs, but mostly we work on improvements because there's always a new way to do things now or new standards that have to be fulfilled. 

It’s difficult to give feedback because a lot of the apps are still in development. I work with Inlancer.in to fully complete and submit the apps since I need help from them to fix all the errors that existed. However, I am completely satisfied with their results and continue working with them.  

How did Inlancer.in perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through their site and app.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have good quality developers and designers. Also, the functionality and the wealth of talent that they provide are more than what the average companies have.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could start using some time management applications to track time spent on development. 

Any advice for potential customers?

Be as detailed as possible because people in other countries, and especially developers and programmers, tend to go 100% by the book. If it’s something that needs to be done that's slightly different, you need to tell them in good detail because they're just going to stick with what they've learned and what they know that works; even though that's not always the best way to go about it. Just be as detailed as possible about the outcome you want.
