I’m the founder of a meal delivery mobile application.

I needed help with developing an app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ingenious App helped me go through the process of prototyping my application to the point of final development. After the development of the platform, they also helped me maintain the platform for the first couple of months. It was developed for both iOS and Android.

The app was built with Objective-C on the frontend, and Parse for iOS, and Java for Android.

What is the team composition?

I just worked with Adedayo (Founder).

How did you come to work with Ingenious App Studios?

We had mutual connections from university. I saw his previous work and was pleased with it. I decided to take a shot with him and it worked out well. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I worked with him in early 2016, and we launched in mid-2016. It was a four-month sprint.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I was satisfied with the engagement because they showed me how to manage the app on my own after. I was able to add or remove restaurants on the platform. The users and restaurants that used the app didn’t have any problems with it.

How did Ingenious App Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

Our communication was informal but good. It was straight to the point. I could reach them on WhatsApp or over the phone. I could call him if I thought of a new feature, and sometimes we went out for lunch. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Adedayo is a very talented app developer and was helpful. There was a good customer relationship there, and it was very comfortable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I had a very smooth customer experience.

We hired Indigenous App Studios to design and develop a fantasy sports app. The goal was to create a secure, user-friendly platform aligned with UK regulatory standards.

Completed MVP Launch:
The development team successfully delivered a fully functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP) within the agreed timeline, allowing us to begin internal testing and early user onboarding.
Regulatory Readiness:
The platform was developed in alignment with UK Gambling Commission requirements, supporting our license application by meeting necessary compliance, security, and data protection standards.

They structured the development process into well-defined sprints, with clear milestones and timelines. Most deliverables were provided on time or ahead of schedule, and any delays were communicated transparently with proactive solutions offered.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As a startup operating in a highly regulated sector like gambling, we needed a team that could do more than just write code — and they delivered. They took time to understand the complexities of our platform, including regulatory requirements, risk mitigation, and user experience, and proactively built solutions that addressed those needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Ingenious App Studios could have done differently?

While communication was generally responsive and smooth, setting up more formal weekly progress reports or dashboards could help streamline updates and track milestones more transparently for both sides.

That said, these are relatively minor points in the context of a complex project, and the team was always open to feedback and willing to adapt quickly when needed.

We work based on deliverables. We have crucial deliverables and have weekly meetings with the team to discuss what needs to be Done and what has been already accomplished. We also operate through trello and do weekly testing of the new features. We have deadlines and our main deliverables were for our soft launch. This includes social media platform, profiles, chat forums, club management forums, scouting profile, agent profile, posting videos, statistic sharing.

BACKGROUND

I am the Founder of Africa Discount Card, a company that provides discounts on events, attractions, and much more all over Africa. 

SOLUTION

We hired Ingenious App Studios to develop a mobile application that would allow customers to purchase a membership to our discount program. 

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

First, I was presented with mockups of how the app would look and feel, and these were based on my existing brand and website. I loved the designs and gave them the go-ahead to start the development phase. After that, it was a few weeks before my app was published.

I communicated with only the founder but was told there were 2 developers working on the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Business is slow and the app has not made much significance to its growth. Perhaps this era of covid wasn't the best time to develop an app for the travel market.

Workflow and communication were very smooth. They always responded promptly and kept me informed throughout the project.

We were impressed by the speed and quality of their work. They provided good communication throughout the project.

I would have liked some revisions to be factored into the initial quote.
