I’m a senior system specialist at a construction company. We have a wide range of products and customer-focused services for workshops, homes, and gardens. We have more than 270 stores across Europe.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infraserve?

We needed to strengthen our Active Directory security posture by implementing a tiered administration model, hardening group policy objects (GPOs), and reducing the overall attack surface.

Infraserve implemented an Active Directory tiering model, redesigned the Active Directory OU structure, hardened GPOs, strengthened privileged access management, and reduced the overall attack surface. The project deliverables included a fully implemented tiered administration model, hardened security configurations, an updated Active Directory structure, comprehensive documentation, and knowledge transfer to our IT team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Infraserve's work significantly improved the security posture of our Active Directory environment. They successfully implemented a tiered administration model (Tier 0, Tier 1, and Tier 2), clearly separated administrative privileges, and strengthened group policy security settings across the environment. The attack surface was reduced by limiting privileged access, improving administrative account isolation, and applying security best practices. The project also resulted in a more structured Active Directory design, better compliance with Microsoft's security recommendations, and a more resilient identity infrastructure for our company.

Infraserve demonstrated strong project management throughout the engagement. The project was well planned, milestones were clearly communicated, and progress was tracked regularly. Communication was proactive, and any questions or issues were addressed promptly. This would have further supported long-term administration and future enhancements. Other than that, the project met our expectations in terms of quality, communication, and delivery.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Infraserve has delivered clear, measurable results. We’ve achieved near-zero unplanned downtime with system availability reaching 99.9%. Network latency and server resource utilization have been significantly optimized, resulting in a noticeable boost in application response times. Additionally, database replication and failover test recovery times have been reduced to under 15 minutes, ensuring seamless business continuity.After optimizing routing rules and load balancing, internal network latency has dropped by approximately 35%–40%, moving from an average of 45ms down to sub-15ms across branch connections. Core database query response times for enterprise software have improved by roughly 30%, noticeably reducing load times for high-volume daily reporting and transactions.We’ve also tracked recovery time objective (RTO) and recovery point objective (RPO) metrics during simulated failover scenarios. Additionally, we’ve monitored system ticket resolution times for infrastructure-related issues and baseline server resource utilization (CPU and RAM) to prevent operational bottlenecks.

What we’ve been most impressed with is Infraserve’s deep technical expertise combined with a highly proactive operational approach. They haven’t just resolved issues as they’ve appeared; they’ve thoroughly analyzed our architecture to prevent potential bottlenecks and ensured seamless integration across all our IT systems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, our engagement has been very successful. If there’s one minor area for improvement, providing more detailed post-implementation documentation or end-user training materials upfront could have made the internal onboarding process even smoother.

Infraserve first reviewed our current IT setup and helped us see the weak points in our infrastructure. The work covered our server, network, backup and security sides. They improved the way our systems are managed and made the general IT process more stable and easier to follow. 

The main deliverables were infrastructure review, network and server support, backup process improvements, security checks, monitoring, regular maintenance and daily technical support when needed. They also helped us with documentation and gave clear guidance when we had questions or issues. 

Overall, they acted like our external IT team. The project helped us reduce daily IT problems, make our systems more reliable and gave us more confidence about backup and business continuity.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The biggest outcome was that our IT operations became more stable and easier to manage. We started to have less daily technical issues, and when something came up, it was handled faster. I would say our response time improved by around 35-40% compared to before. 

Our backup process also became more reliable. Before the project, we were not always sure if everything was followed properly. After Infraserve’s work, backup success rate was around 95%+ and we had better visibility on our server, network and security side. 

It also reduced the workload on our internal team. They spent about 30% less time dealing with IT related problems and could focus more on their main work. Overall, the project helped us improve system reliability, response time and business continuity.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Their project management was clear and practical. We always knew what they were working on and what the next step was. Most of the items were delivered on time, and when something needed more time, they informed us early and explained the reason. 

They were also very responsive to our needs. When we had an urgent technical issue or a question, they usually came back quickly and tried to solve it without making the process complicated. Communication was mostly through email, phone and remote meetings. 

Overall, they were easy to work with. They understood our priorities, followed the important tasks and acted more like a long-term IT partner than just a service provider.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What we found most impressive was that they understood our needs without making things too complicated. They were not just fixing problems one by one, they tried to see the bigger picture and improve the way our IT setup works. 

Their team was also easy to reach and practical in their approach. They explained technical topics in a clear way and helped us make better decisions about our infrastructure, backup and security processes. 

For us, the unique part was that they felt more like an external IT team than a standart vendor.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Infraserve could have done differently?

There was no serious area for improvement from our side. If we need to mention something, maybe they were so active and detail-oriented that sometimes our internal security or approval processes had to catch up with them. 

They were moving fast and pushing things forward, which was actually a good thing for us. Maybe the only improvement could be aligning some approval steps a bit earlier, so both sides can move with the same speed.

Our partner migrated our remote access infrastructure to a Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) architecture. The project included assessing our existing remote access environment, designing the new ZTNA solution, configuring security policies, migrating users and applications, and ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to daily operations. The key deliverables included a fully implemented ZTNA solution, secure remote access for employees, policy-based access controls, user migration, testing and validation, and post-deployment support to ensure the new environment was operating securely and efficiently.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Achieved 100% replacement of legacy SSL VPNs with Fortigate ZTNA, completely eliminating external VPN gateway vulnerabilities. Verified 100% of remote devices for compliance (MFA, AV, OS patch level) before granting application access.

The project was well managed from start to finish. The team maintained clear communication, kept us informed of progress, and addressed any questions or concerns promptly. Overall, we were very satisfied with the collaboration and the quality of the work delivered. We did not encounter any significant issues during the project. If there is one area for improvement, it would be to provide more detailed end-user documentation and training materials after the implementation to help users become familiar with the new ZTNA environment even more quickly. Other than that, the project met our expectations.
