At the outset, our vision was straightforward: revolutionize remote collaboration for educators through a cutting-edge application. We hired InConcept Labs for the full project outsourcing and they really turned our vision a reality. They engineered real-time whiteboard software for the Web, Android, and iOS. The team delivered valuable insights and consultation on Amazon Web Services (AWS), integrating the cloud seamlessly into our operations.

Notably, we held daily remote standup meetings, and this practice ensured that everyone was always on the same page. This contributed to seamless collaboration and effective communication, further enhancing the project's success.

Are there any areas for improvement or something InConcept Labs could have done differently?

While our partnership with InConcept Labs was overall successful, I would like to mention that, despite the designed scalable architecture, a more in-depth roadmap for future scalability and expansion could have been explored.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Every week the team did 50 tasks in Jira, most of which were with many subtasks. It took three months to integrate the map and address suggestions, another two months to build an optimal route between points and generate the service cost based on various parameters. 

The old version functioned only on the web application and only with one category of special equipment. In the new version 6 new categories of special equipment were added, as well as the possibility to order construction equipment on three platforms - web application, iOS and Android.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since the main market for our product is Russia, we had to get a result that would be viable in a highly unpredictable market. After February 2022, we were seized by doubts whether it was worth continuing the project and several times we faced the decision to curtail the project and wait for better times.

Nevertheless, we continued to work and completed the main part of the development by June 2022. Thanks to the excellent team of InConcept Labs, we not only got a solid product for the market from which other IT companies were fleeing, but also were able to present a decent functionality for both our customers and vendors.

The processes at InConcept Labs are arranged in such a way that we didn’t have to worry much about the release time of a new functionality or an entire product. The actual output of the product differed from the predetermined schedule in rare cases and completely insignificantly.

Throughout the entire period of the active development phase our communication with the product manager was 24/7. If necessary, we had the opportunity to bring together the entire development team in order to eliminate the distortion of the transfer of information from one person to another.

If not to spray tirades and describe the uniqueness of InConcept Labs in one sentence, then it would be "peace of mind for the end result".

Are there any areas for improvement or something InConcept Labs could have done differently?

In our case, everything was done more than excellently. But, since there is no limit to perfection, the inConcept Labs team, without any doubt, can make complex products spending less time and resources.
