Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the head of IT for EV Point Parking Systems and EV Point. We offer comprehensive parking management software and sell parking and access control systems for efficient facility operations. EV Point is also building and operating a growing network of EV charging stations, with over 200 locations across Moldova and Romania.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with ilab.md?

We needed a software development partner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ilab.md has executed the whole project lifecycle, starting from the UI/UX design and finishing with the deployment of the full-stack application to the App Store, Google Play, and the web. The EV Parking application allows users to see all parking locations EV Parking system operates, check if parking has free spaces in real-time, see information about the parking location, and pay for the parking in real-time via scanning parking tickets in the app (via Apple Pay, Google Pay, and local payment methods). Users can also buy, manage, and extend their parking subscriptions.

In the EV Point application, users can see all charger locations on the map, top up their balance, and start and manage charging sessions. The system is integrated with 15+ charging point brands. For both projects, ilab.md has developed a back office with high-standard access management for technicians, the support team, partners, and managers.

We've worked with around 10 teammates from ilab.md.

How did you come to work with ilab.md?

In 2019, when we launched EV Point, we started a comprehensive search for a software development partner. Ilab.md was the clear leader on our radar, offering the best balance between price and quality. They caught our attention because they already had an extensive portfolio of various projects of different complexity, including local and international market projects that every citizen in Moldova and Romania used daily. This gave us the impression that they had a good understanding of clients' needs, which was exactly what we were looking for.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with ilab.md in June 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

After each new version is deployed, it's immediately used by our growing user base.

How did ilab.md perform from a project management standpoint?

Ilab.md has delivered on time. We communicate via email and personal and remote meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Ilab.md's understanding of our needs is impressive.
