We hired Outliant to assist us with rebuilding our customer-facing websites from WordPress to a new tech stack. The CMS that was chosen was Contentful with the framework of the site being on Next.js.

Before selecting Outliant, we vetted 4 companies as candidates for our implementation partner. Hands down, Outliant provided the most thorough proposal. You could tell that they had spent a lot of time getting familiar with our web properties, which enabled them to provide a realistic timeline and cost for this very important strategic initiative.

Outliant will be providing support in the following key areas:
Working with Infrastructure / DevOps to set up environments and workflow (i.e. bitbucket)
Setting up the new CMS (and working hand-in-hand with our Marketing team to ensure transfer of knowledge)
Moving content from existing websites to the new CMS
Ensuring that the sites are set up correctly to support SEO technical needs (working in conjunction with SQ SEO team)
Rebuilding existing logic/functionality in the new framework (i.e. NextJS)

Their communication style is awesome. We speak weekly in a formal readout and also have a Slack channel going with daily communication as needed. Overall, the team is very responsive.

Their work was utter trash, to say the least. Website took well over 9 months to actually complete, and they tried to hide their incompetency by omitting the fact that for several months, they actually never worked on the site in the first place. When confronted, they admitted it, and rushed the website. They paid for a theme and just built on it, with another developer based in India. No measurable improvement in any statistic, and some deliverables were imcomplete and never given.

None of my items were delivered on time, whether it was creative deliverables or my website. Sometimes I won't hear from them for days on end. It was escalated to John, the "VP" of Ignite, was just pretending to be a "yes" man through the entire conversation and claimed to take ownership of everything, was all talk. It got so bad that I had to get an attorney, and despite having an attorney, they don't respond anymore either.

Hired actors for UGC ads didn't pan out in the way we hoped. But I don't hold Ignite accountable for this, per se. It was simply a test that didn't fly in the ways we hoped it would.

In the end, I felt like I needed a bit more on the omnichannel side from our partner, but I would recommend their SEO team any day.
