• We brought Idea Team in as a technical partner on an e-commerce SaaS project for a shared client. Idea Team owned infrastructure and observability end-to-end: the entire AWS environment defined in Terraform, the CI/CD pipeline that runs `plan` and `apply` against it, and a real-time internal monitoring system the client's team could actually use day-to-day.

Idea Team modeled our entire AWS footprint in Terraform - VPC and subnets across multiple availability zones, IAM roles scoped per service instead of one shared admin role, RDS, S3, and the ECS/Docker setup the app deploys onto, with rollback to a previous task revision if a release went sideways. State is stored remotely in S3 with DynamoDB locking, and dev/prod run off the same modules with separate variable files so the two never quietly diverge. They wired `terraform plan` into GitHub Actions so every infrastructure change gets reviewed as a diff before `apply` runs, with production changes gated behind manual approval. On top of the infrastructure, they built a real-time monitoring dashboard with GraphQL and Vue.js, backed by CloudWatch alarms and log groups already defined as code, giving the client live visibility into platform health and order flow.

Infrastructure changes went from undocumented console clicks to reviewable pull requests. Because the modules were built for reuse, spinning up a near-identical staging environment took a day instead of a week, and we added new integration endpoints over the following months without touching the core network or IAM setup.

Documentation for a couple of the less obvious IAM policies came after the fact - would've helped to have it alongside the first version instead of as a follow-up.
