What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

iConnect info solutions created the two previously mentioned prototypes very swiftly and had them ready in about two days. This played a big role in the project’s approval and was very appreciated by my client, who was very impressed with their work.

The team was incredibly attentive and transparent when it came to transactions. They used to notify us about the billings ahead of time and were flexible in negotiating the timelines of the payments. I found their project management skills to be compatible with our business. We communicated through email and Skype video calls.

I had previously worked with other providers who had very rigid policies and business practices and didn’t customize their environments for the people they were working with. iConnect info solutions cared a lot about us and adapted entirely to our needs. The team was ready to work on weekends or extended hours if needed — their commitment was their biggest asset.

Their resources are still learning a lot and improving themselves. I’d say a wider technology exposure would definitely benefit them. During the engagement, however, we were never unhappy with their performance and everything went smoothly.

Consider them for a trusting relationship. I’ve already recommended them to other organizations, and I can vouch for their dedication to deliver what the client wants.

I’m the COO of an IT services company called Neterson Technologies Ptv. Ltd. We’re part of a conglomerate with 12 companies, and we’re specifically focused on software products and charge domain.

We wanted to develop a chat-only mobile application for our software. In the app, all the clients who’d gotten our services or products could leave various requisitions for the HR department such as their time attendance. The previous platform we used was built in Java with a digital signal processing (DSP) and a Hibernate framework.

What was the scope of their involvement?

iConnect Info Solutions developed an Android and iOS mobile app from scratch, including the UI/UX design and database. The framework they used for the development was Hibernate. iConnect Info Solutions also created key modules and added them to the app.

Shreedeep (Co-Founder) and Jaideep (Co-Founder & Head of Technology) were our two main points of contact. Jaideep helped us with the technology front, and we had one project manager. In total, we worked with 6–7 people from the iConnect Info Solutions team.

The project lasted from March 2017–September 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were able to successfully sell the license of our mobile app to other customers. It generated a lot of revenue, and we got new business results.

How did iConnect Info Solutions Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management perspective, iConnect Info Solutions gave us regular updates on the project through email and WhatsApp. We didn’t use any project management tools, but we used an Excel sheet where we defined the project’s timeline and resources. We also were able to see each milestone’s percentage of completion, bottlenecks or dependencies, and the risks they could foresee. iConnect Info Solutions highlighted the project in a proactive way.

Our customers were asking for a mobile app for our product, and we needed to develop it very fast within a timeframe. iConnect Info Solutions developed our app within 6–8 months, including the testing and deployment process. The project went very smoothly, and that helped iConnect Info Solutions meet the deadline and deliver what they promised.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of work that iConnect Info Solutions did was good, even though they were a small company. They also had total knowledge of the technology.

One of the aspects I liked about iConnect Info Solutions was that they told us when a particular delivery would be delayed. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

iConnect Info Solutions had a lack of design knowledge. I had some expectations for the UI/UX design, and their execution wasn’t great. They acknowledged and said they’d work on that. 

Any advice for potential customers?

I recommend iConnect Info Solutions for two things: the first one is they’re cost-effective, and their resources aren’t costly. Secondly, the quality of work I definitely vouch for, so If one of my friends is looking for similar services, they should choose iConnect Info Solutions. Additionally, something that I want to recommend is being very specific about the requirements of the project. If it’s necessary, prepare proper documentation with the exact process and give it to them.

iConnect provides us with tech resources for two separate businesses we are involved in, so we have two teams from iConnect. We call our work model “out-resourcing”; the iConnect team is as much a member of our team as our own direct employees. 

We started with experienced and junior people, and we have worked together to develop the staff. They operate as an integrated part of our cross-functional teams, collaborating with the UX, business, and DevOps teams.

I work with around 7–8 iConnect team members. All of them are software developers and we have also a team leader. 

How did you come to work with iConnect info solutions pvt ltd?

Before, when I was the CIO of a large London-based Fortune 500 company, we had many problems there with high turnover rates — employees were leaving the company after six months. I started looking for long-term software developers with high skills and with lower costs than I could get in London.

A colleague of mine knew Jaideep (Co-Founder) personally, and he recommended them. I had some conversations with him; we started small with just one developer and then built up the teams.

iConnect provides top-notch staff with very high levels of retention. This has been very useful for us. The team knows our systems and our specific way of working. We’re very happy with them.

In the whole course of our engagement, maybe 1–2 people have left — my team has had a higher turnover than that.

We have an agile and transparent development approach. They’re happy to work longer hours when necessary without quibbling or looking for payment. It’s not something we exploit or even ask them to do, they just don’t have problems working late when we have problems.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I like about iConnect is that they don’t buy talent; they grow it. The team has also helped us develop and grow. They’ve built a lot of our in-house competency; we have like a conveyor belt of employees developing projects.

They are a straightforward, trustworthy, and honorable partner. We’ve never had a moment of hesitation. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes small organizations struggle to compete with larger companies when looking for very experienced talent. I’ve worked with other companies from India, and iConnect is better than anyone I’ve worked with in the past. However, they might struggle to fulfill the resource when asking for very specific skill sets. 

We have our own flat structure where we manage our own processes, but they could manage projects a bit more for further customers.

Any advice for potential customers?

We have our own prescriptive and agile process where we don’t have a hierarchical structure. I’d advise potential customers to make sure the team members are fully integrated.

Don’t tolerate any disrespect towards the iConnect team members — this situation usually occurs when the companies outsource people from other countries; they’re not second-class citizens.

iConnect Digital Solutions Ltd (UK) is designing and developing mobile applications for iOS and Android. Initially, I shared my ideas with the team and showed exactly what I wanted. I didn't have prior experience developing apps, and I envisaged that I would tell them this is my app; now do it. However, iConnect Digital Solutions Ltd (UK) has brought me back to the starting point and helped me think about what I want the app to do and how to make it happen. 

The app's designer has a marketing background and advises on the design and other areas, like SEO and management campaigns. The app will also store information we can access via web remote controls.

We haven't launched the app yet and don't have quantitative metrics at the moment. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

One of the developers in India has been amazing. When I don't understand something, he explains it well. The same goes for Jaideep, who accommodates our needs since we're a new business. He has been understanding when our funds have been tight and adapted to payments coming in a week later. Working with someone who isn't after the money but is after developing the best product is invigorating. The money will come, and it's great having a supportive friend who has my back.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Nothing is too much effort for iConnect Digital Solutions Ltd (UK). If the team doesn't have the answers to something, they know where to get them, delivering innovative solutions to my problems before I ask them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our team is cross-continent, and we've had technical problems during calls in some instances. We had to reschedule a call because there were electric storms in the city where a teammate from India lives. I know this wasn't the team's fault, but I ended up working on the weekend and setting time aside. However, this isn't a criticism for them, it's just how nature evolved. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Be honest with iConnect Digital Solutions Ltd (UK) regarding your budget and funding for the project and how much you can spend. I went into the engagement very blinkered regarding my idea and the process of developing an app. I thought there was a magic wand and didn't realize it required a lot of back-office work and information that needed input before the app was ready to use; there is so much detail required before getting a working version. 

My suggestion is to trust the process and the team because they're experts.
