Although iConnect Digital Solutions Ltd doesn't have any major areas that need improvement, there is always room for improvement in projects. Communication is very important, and the team's tools and processes can be improved.

The only slight problem I've seen when working with iConnect is the time zone difference meaning I did have to take calls at 0600 UK time but this is understandable given the hybrid nature of the org. I did sometimes also find myself explaining the same thing a few times but again this is one of the considerations to make when working with a multi-national organisation

The fully functioning app, with great visual design and improved worfklow of data collection -- the app fulfils our expectations in terms of design and workflow

The project management seemed at times a bit chaotic (lack of clear and enforced timelines for some aspects) - also on our part; however Jay was incredibly responsive and helpful, which was greatly appreciated. He also ensured we had appropriate resources and linked relevant people into meeting groups swiftly and efficiently.

So overall, a very positive PM experience on our part. Jay also got integrated into our internal comm channels which he used efficiently and effectively, and was a great resource to the team during the app development. On personal note, I found Jay lovely to work with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had great team spirit, involved the right people at the right moment, and used really useful project management software that made our lives easier. They also provided ideas and critical input on our workflow which enhanced the development.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Communicate the timelines more precisely and hence make them more enforceable and maybe have a shared folder with all the documentation so it's always readily available for review - project scope, etc. Some bugs had to be redone as they were not always fixed exactly to the specs, but had always been redone to our specs when reviewed.

After we started using the web app, the time and efforts needed to conduct our operations have reduced significantly. Also, since the app performs the calculations and other supporting activities, the scope of manual error is eliminated. The iConnect team showed great cooperation and have inculcated all the changes we came up with during the process.

Being a startup, having virtual presence is very important for business development. Thanks to the efforts of the iConnect team, we have a website as we had designed in a very short period of time.

The most impressive and unique thing about this company is their in-house project management tool. The tool gave the status of all the pending points in our project at a single glance.

The web apps had a few bugs when the project was handed to us. This may be due to the frequent changes we came up with. Nevertheless, all the bugs were resolved quickly.

Initially, iConnect info solutions developed a proof of concept (POC). The team quickly created two prototypes on Angular that we required to get the approval of our solution partners and go ahead with the project. 

Once the POC was approved, the team worked in detail on the design, execution, and implementation of the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

iConnect info solutions created the two previously mentioned prototypes very swiftly and had them ready in about two days. This played a big role in the project’s approval and was very appreciated by my client, who was very impressed with their work.

The team was incredibly attentive and transparent when it came to transactions. They used to notify us about the billings ahead of time and were flexible in negotiating the timelines of the payments. I found their project management skills to be compatible with our business. We communicated through email and Skype video calls.

I had previously worked with other providers who had very rigid policies and business practices and didn’t customize their environments for the people they were working with. iConnect info solutions cared a lot about us and adapted entirely to our needs. The team was ready to work on weekends or extended hours if needed — their commitment was their biggest asset.

Their resources are still learning a lot and improving themselves. I’d say a wider technology exposure would definitely benefit them. During the engagement, however, we were never unhappy with their performance and everything went smoothly.
