Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the president, owner, and sole employee of Wild Ginger Software. We make fashion design software that does custom pattern-making for body measurements.

What challenge were you trying to address with i7MEDIA?

We’d had a web host for 25 years, since the beginning of my company, but they recently retired. I needed a new web hosting service because of that.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provide my web hosting service and email hosting service. They’re also my internet service provider. Their team provides additional technical support on both our website and email, making sure everything is up and running. They support my e-commerce site, as well. 

What is the team composition?

I’ve only interacted with Joe (Owner) and one of his tech support teammates, but there could be others working behind the scenes. 

How did you come to work with i7MEDIA?

I worked with a different provider, who was terrible, and after I complained to my initial provider about that bad experience, they recommended i7MEDIA. From there, I got in touch with them.

How much have you invested with them?

I pay $147 per month for their service. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since November 2020. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their tech support has been outstanding, so far. They’ve been extremely responsive to all of my tech support issues — they always fix anything I point out. 

How did i7MEDIA perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been excellent; we’ve had no problems. We mainly communicate through phone and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

My initial provider was similar to a mom-and-pop shop and was always there when I needed them, and i7MEDIA has been the same way for me. I don’t feel like I’m dealing with some big company that has no idea who I am or what I’m doing. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing they could improve, so far. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Talk to Joe and he’ll be able to tell you what you need. I’m a very small business with pretty simple needs from this perspective, but they’ve done everything I’ve needed them to do.

I’m a webmaster for a military department.

What challenge were you trying to address with i7MEDIA?

We contracted them to create the skin and the very foundation of what our military department website is. Our main focus was on our CSS, security, hosting, and any other development tools we may need.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided web hosting and built a brand new skin using Module:Portal as our CMS package. Once that was completed, we took it over and started building out our agency’s needs. We work with them to continue to expand any and all needs of our department website.

What is the team composition?

We work with Joe Davis (President), Isaac (Web Developer & Web Designer), and one other person.

How did you come to work with i7MEDIA?

I’ve been using i7MEDIA for over ten years and when I took this position over, I thought it was a good fit for them as a contractor to work with us and to develop what our needs were based on my experience with them before.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve roughly spent about $210,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in April 2014 and our relationship is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The timetables of the deliverables were spot on. As far as the deliverable of the site itself, we’re the largest military website in the US for public view. I believe this year, we’ve had almost 400,000 visitors and 5 million page views. I’m very satisfied with their work.

How did i7MEDIA perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been excellent and are very responsive to my needs. They’re in communication with me all the time, whether it’s during the weekend or the evening, whatever we’ve got to do to work around the schedules of our website.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Them always meeting deadlines is most impressive. I’ve worked with other corporations, and they’ll give a deadline but then never reach it. They’ve really been phenomenal and have done everything I’ve required of them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there is nothing.

Come with an idea and be open-minded to their ideas, changing and morphing into a better solution.
