I am the Founder & CEO of a Fintech startup called Rocco that helps people get early access to their earned wages.

We needed someone to develop our mobile app and website in a timely manner.

We were referred to Hureka Technologies by one of our trusted lawyers so we felt we were in good hands from the beginning.

The mobile app was developed for both iOS and Android and was very complex in nature. We had to integrate the app with numerous third party vendors, including a payment processor and data aggregator.

Approximately 10 people have worked with us in developing and managing the app's deliverables. Engineers, developers, designers, and project managers were among the team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Almost 3,000 people downloaded the app in the two months since launch. The team works hard to quickly iterate and update the app according to customer feedback.

The team has a project manager that oversees all aspects of development for ongoing deliverables. They use Jira to manage tasks and Slack to facilitate collaboration and discussion. They work diligently to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to find unique and creative solutions for challenging requests and their ability to follow through to the end has made it a pleasure to work with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The team continues to improve everyday across all functions and is an excellent option for mobile app development.

I am the CEO of our startup within the travel technology space.

We hired hureka to develop our mobile application and website / web application.

How did you select Hureka Technologies and what were the deciding factors?

I met the founder at a startup event, and was convinced they could help me with my development efforts. He is very smart and asked all the right questions. I ultimately selected Hureka because they understood my pain points and had a flexible payment structure.

We had many discovery meetings in the beginning— on a daily basis! But it was exceptional as the team was well versed in the technology it would take to bring my idea to life. After the discovery the team provided mock ups and wire frames within the first month of working together. We had catchup calls every week and they updated me on their progression in detail.

Within the first few months I had a landing page up and the first iterations of the mobile app. We focused on having a dual platform app leveraging an ionic framework.

How many resources from the Hureka Technologies team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I had a whole team dedicated to my project, including a project manager, a lead developer, designers and QA testing teams. They were always very thorough in their testing and incorporated our feedback accordingly.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were up and running rather quickly, and was always very pleased with the deliverables. I will say that the only issue I ever had was the UX/UI aspects were a bit basic— which is something that they were aware of and attempted to improve.

We used element for a time, prior to transitioning into slack as our main communication tool. We also had weekly then bi-weekly meeting over webex. They were always very communicative with issues and things they needed from me.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

My cofounder and I were very pleased with the code they wrote— it was very clean and easy to follow. I also liked that they helped guide us on the best technologies to use for our project. This would serve as a sounding board to make sure that what we wanted to implement actually made sense for our business and tell in line with our goals. As a non-technical person this was invaluable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As mentioned above the only area of improvement I would say is the UI of the application. It was a bit basic, but this is something that they are actively working on improving. Otherwise everything else was great.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Theralist, a platform where occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists can connect directly with patients. 

Social workers typically make recommendations to patients needing recovery or rehabilitation after an illness or injury. However, plenty of patients don’t know that they have the choice to pick a therapy company or the individual therapist they prefer. As a result, our platform is trying to disrupt this archaic system around therapy recommendations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hureka Technologies Inc?

I hired Hureka Technologies to create my web platform. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hureka Technologies created the platform from scratch and handled everything, including content. The only thing I suggested was the color scheme, which I already had in mind even before the development. They applied that color scheme to the way they laid out everything. 

The most important part of the process was making sure there were three user bases where therapists, student therapists, and patients could sign on; this onboarding process was crucial. We also made sure that people could connect to each other. 

At present, they do regular testing to make sure the platform works. We’ve found issues before, and I sometimes notice such issues first. In that case, I let them know about it after running the platform through live mode. Moreover, the platform has security features, and I notify their team when we need an update. Overall, they’ve completed the project, but I reach out to them whenever I need to make a change or a new iteration. 

What is the team composition?

We have 2–3 points of contact at any point in time, including a project manager and consultant. 

How did you come to work with Hureka Technologies Inc?

We found Hureka Technologies through word of mouth. Someone recommended them while I was going through our startup’s pre-seed accelerator program, so I reached out to them. After the recommendation, I asked them to do a presentation through Zoom not just to me but also to other startup founders working on their projects. We watched their presentation, and we liked it. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our partnership in December 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Quantitative metrics are difficult to measure because we’ve been working together even before I launched the startup. As a result, 100% of what I’m doing is based on their work. Anecdotally, users say that the platform is professionally done. Colleagues and therapists who’ve signed up also give great feedback.  

How did Hureka Technologies Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Hureka Technologies’ project management is excellent. Comparing their customer service to other projects I’ve done in the past, the way they interact and engage with me is exceptional. I’m incredibly satisfied with their professionalism and the way they execute the project. 

To communicate, we use Element.io and WhatsApp. We also use Adobe tools for our mock-ups, where I can click and move things anywhere, which is great. We always do Zoom calls and have plenty of interactions with multiple people. More importantly, the project manager is available whenever I need them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their price stands out relative to what they offer and the amount of time they spend on the platform.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Much of our communication is done around 7 a.m., which is fine by me. However, we’re unsure if that works for other customers. On top of that, some of their staff aren’t in the same time zone as us, so we try to find the right time for everyone. This can be restrictive for other US customers.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

For any non-technical founders, know that Hureka Technologies will literally break down everything for you. This way, you’ll feel confident that you’ll get what you’re looking for in the project. 

In our engagement, they’ve spent time with me to talk about what we want to build. It feels like I’m literally being hand-held — they’re holding my hands, as silly as that sounds. I’m a therapist by trade, so the technical aspects of the project are out of my scope. However, because of their hand-holding, I can ask them to explain things and break everything down for me until I understand.

IT services is a very saturated market and there is a lot of competition. We hired Hureka Technologies Inc so we could be found more easily online.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hureka Technologies Inc created a website, made it SEO-friendly, and manage the platform. They handle the content we put on the site, posting blogs and refreshing the content so we continually rank. They work with specific keywords that target our customers. All of the site and content development is done with an SEO strategy in mind. 

What is the team composition?

Roopak (Founder, Hureka Technologies Inc) leads the efforts, and 2–3 others support the project. Each person has a specific area of focus to help put the strategy together. 

How did you come to work with Hureka Technologies Inc?

I consider myself lucky to have found them—they came as a referral from a CEO of a different company. I had been looking for the right partner for a while, but it turned out to be one failure after the next. I took a leap of faith with Hureka Technologies Inc because of the value that CEO brought to the table. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $25,000–$50,000 on their work. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2016 and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We rank on the first page of Google search results for at least 20 different keywords. They’ve been an amazing partner in helping us be found in a saturated market within New York City. They’re an essential part of our marketing strategy and they’ve launched us to a different level. More often than not, we’re being found by quality leads through our site. Without Roopak and his team, these things wouldn’t have been possible. 

How did Hureka Technologies Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

During the development phase, we had weekly meetings to discuss pages and the process. All of our conversations were centered around how to best impact our SEO, along with the functionality, messaging, and navigation on the site. We now talk on a monthly basis to see how the strategy is working and review data to evaluate how we’re ranking. They also always respond to me and do what I need. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re like Google scientists—they understand how to get us to rank. Getting a business to rank on the first page in New York City is a tall order and an accomplishment. They’re always looking for the next best thing, so I’m excited to continue expanding my scope with them. They’re pushing the envelope into other areas of software development that I am looking forward to exploring with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m not sure there’s anything they could do differently—they get the results and do everything we need.

Trust the process. Some people want instant gratification, but they have a process that takes time and the results will make you happy.
