We wanted to get the UI/UX done for our first MVP. This involved most critical aspects of our application, dashboards, website landing pages & pricing pages.

We started with Competitor research, Wireframes, Theme Selections before jumping into actual design. With each stage we got more clarity to take decisions effectively. We started with UI/UX work with basic skeleton and then scaled it to full fledged prototypes. After we finished the main dashboard, we also worked on Landing pages which describe the product in great detail. HumanX team also went our of their way to help us prepare gifs for our landing pages.

3 resources: 1 manager who overlooked the most critical parts, unblocked any issues and took critical decisions along with 2 team members who worked on the designs full time.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have been able to make the landing page live in record time and started to get some interest from the community. Our product is in development but the clarity with which the project has been completed by HumanX, saves us tremendous amount of time during the development cycles.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had a daily standup to discuss progress, blockers & issues. We also had effective asynchronous methods of communication setup to unblock each other. We used Slack channels, Emails, Figma, all the up-to date tools as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

HumanX are professionals who know what they are doing. We found the team to be incredibly responsive and always open to feedback.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Spending more time to understand the objective/goal of the project can be one focus area. This helps keep both parties aligned and keep a check on any expectation gaps.

We wanted to redesign our pre-transactional website for investors and advisors to match (& exceed) contemporary standards & expectations, keeping simplicity & intuitive journeys as key cornerstones.

How did you select HumanX?

While we went through references and conducted our own searches, HumanX came recommended to us since they were working on a different project with another team in the firm.

The project comprised of reimagining the site architecture, content discovery & intuitive customer journeys from intent identification to to purposeful execution. This meant taking collaborative decisions on what's important for investors, what's not and how the dots connect from the user's POV to the brand's intent.

The overall theme was to showcase simplicity & the ideas behind thoughtful, responsible investing. It was broadly divided in the following main stages: Prioritization based on whether pages needed minor redesigning, reworking from scratch or dropping altogether, Design crafting & subsequent HTML-ization by stages, and QA checks, testing, development & launch We eventually also asked HumanX to develop overall web UI guidelines for us.

3 UI-UX designers + their Design Head. We always had access to the Founders too, which was a great bonus.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

While there's still some way to go before the project is finished, till now the end outcomes from a visual as well as a thought perspective have been on point. Early numbers also suggest positive movements in terms of a much better & intuitive site architecture, connected journeys, content discoverability & taxonomy, user engagement & site-health metrics etc.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Highly effective- the team's collaborative mindset meant a very smooth interaction throughout the process. They are always available without exception for even out-of-turn discussions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their collaborative approach, professionalism, very strong attention to timelines, an ability to call out issues or opportunities to improvise without the specific brief, friendliness and overall vibe.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A keener, more proactive eye on the finally executed (Live) work by our team vs the originally designed work from HumanX's team could have helped shorten the QA/ testing phase.

I am a program associate at the foundation and lead assessments, impact evaluations and analytics across all our portfolios.

We hired HumanX to design an infographic view as well as a report on Large Scale Assessments in India. This report explains the need for large scale assessments in a country like India, provides an implementation toolkit for state officials and also describes case studies across four Indian states and Childe where assessments have been used effectly to improve quality of education.

How did you select this vendor? Word of mouth - HumanX has done a brilliant job when working with CSF and Omidyar and we thus wanted to reach out to them.

The project consisted of two key stages - design of the report and design of the infographic video. Report design required several iterations on content and design and the overall project took around 6 months.

Two people from the team worked with us - Mythili (Experience Designer) and Ayesha(User Experience Designer)

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Infographic video was used for social media campaign and almost 500 people registered for the event. Report has been downloaded at least 100 times and people have given positive reviews on the design.

The team was highly professional and responsive. The workflow was smooth and I have no complaints.

They can add another component to their services - proofreading the designed document before sending it out.

We are in the middle of applying the technology to the prototype they have created.

They instantly understood our brief and further elevated it with their innovative ideation process, design and execution. They take complete ownership of the idea and their commitment to excellence even in its execution is high. Their contributions and inputs were extremely valuable, and the results were better than we imagined or expected.

The entire Human X team (with no exception) are nice people who are extremely approachable and amicable. It was our first step into the tech world and they not only uncomplicated and made it easy for us but also made the experience enjoyable and fun.

The idea was to first build a prototype to help the end customer visualise what we could build in a dynamic web based setting.

An initial alignment session with the team to detail our end goal and the journey we wanted to take the client on. Following this, HumanX came back with a series of recommendations. We went with one of the options and based on this, and after several rounds of development, we perfected the prototype.

We were assigned two team members from HumanX to oversee the entire engagement.

The team created a visually engaging prototype solution that covered the journey which we detailed. This has put us in a position to discuss expanding the scope of our engagement with the client while also demonstrating how we can take data and turn it into a digital solution that is tangible.

I've been impressed with the quality of work first and foremost. In addition, the team has been truly collaborative, helpful and responsive. They genuinely care. I cannot recommend HumanX more highly.

I’m the founder of a global crypto startup that allows users to send money from one country to another using Bitcoins in the back.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with HumanX?

We were looking for UX designers for our web platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

As developers and founders of the platform, we had biases when we designed our version. Our goal was to eliminate those biases by partnering with an external team that could approach the UX design differently. 

Using psychological concepts to inform their design for the app, their team enabled us to design something that my founder and I wouldn’t have thought of on our own. 

The final app allows users to create a borderless account that allows them to access the US dollar from around the world. This is done using cryptocurrency, but people on the app can seamlessly use its services without knowledge of the cryptocurrency and blockchains occurring on the backend.

Their team was key in eliminating as many technical complexities in the app’s design as possible to give users a simple, seamless experience.

I worked with the founder, a project manager, and three designers. 

How did you come to work with HumanX?

Through referrals and some case studies, I found online, I came across HumanX. I started up a conversation with the founder as well as some other design firm. They were most impressive, so we ended up working with them.

We spent about $10,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since May 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our application isn’t live yet, so we don’t have too many metrics at this point. However, the people who have seen the app have given us great feedback. We’re happy with the work and excited about the launch of the product. 

How did HumanX perform from a project management standpoint?

The team was extremely dedicated, always delivering ahead of schedule. The project was managed extremely well. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Partway through the project, we encountered a setback and required them to redo some of what they’d built. They were extremely understanding of our situation and adjusted their work without charging us extra for the changes. That’s something few people would do. They were patient with us throughout the entire project.

They spent time learning about our product in order to build flows that properly aligned with its function. I was very impressed with their dedication to that.

The brief was to recreate and rethink on how the customer approaches a journey for a product that's a pull product, where the customer has identified his need - and now only needs reinforcement on his decision to get a loan. It was important to ensure that the journey helped both the prospective and the existing customer in their journey to search and find what they were looking for - in a way where the search process itself would be very sublime because of how smooth the journey was.

The journeys were flawless, extremely well thought out. The understanding of the brief was taken to another level with the actual output delivered.

The depth of expertise is evident. In addition, the professionalism and respect for timelines were really admired.

We wanted to create an engagement experience for a forthcoming film, for which we wanted to use cutting edge AR/VR, which would come alive from a number of surfaces and triggers.

How did you select this vendor?

We worked with Human Experience because they came back with a comprehensive customer solution that involved use of a technology rather than a technology solution. As the digital marketing head I was the final decision maker in this, and I had help from the head of IT to understand if the requirement on cloud and server space was alright

As said earlier - the project was to provide an end-to-end AR experience to the customer to enhance engagement and intent to watch a film release. The Human Experience team built the customer journey, the wireframes to capture it and then got down to coding the experience and building the animation that formed part of it. After our initial set of briefing documents and access to server, cloud and Google Lens developer platform Human Experience owned the rest of the project

The team consisted of 2 front-end developers, one designer and one overall team lead.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We saw a lift of around 3x in terms of time spent compared to a typical page. For the audience that engaged with the AR experience, we were able to export this to Google Ads and found they did better in terms of performance metrics. The project has also been shortlisted for a variety of digital awards, and we'll know the outcomes soon.

We worked with Slack and Hangouts to share feedback, and set up weekly and then alternate day project update meetings.

They managed a complex project with new technologies while keeping the end-client experience front and center.

Probably in estimating timelines realistically, since there was always a rush to finish.
